What makes your opinion so special that it warrants a completely new thread?
Because I didn't know there was another thread on him. And you know that. You're just being an asshole.
You've been here long enough to know that every single new card gets its own discussion thread. And even if you didn't, at the time of making it the other thread was on the front page. The quickest glance would have shown this.
I'm sure they'll have to face a huge sh1tstorm and be forced to rollback, the day people without preorder will be unable to open their 70-80 packs out of gold (or any other source).
I mean, it's not like making F2P life harder will suddenly result in more people paying: you'll just get less people playing instead.
In my case, if the above happens, I'll probably be forced back to focus on less classes, or stop playing entirely if the grind is too frustrating and the rewards delayed in time after each Expansion.
And I'm fairly sure they are aware of that, so I do hope they will design the new system in a balanced way for everyone.
Illucia is fundamentally a combo-killer, and only a complete change to the card effect could change that. The mana cost does matter, however, against aggro. I expect stalling them on turn 3 will be quite a bit less effective than on turn 2, since they already have more out on the board. So if she's no longer as strong against so many decks, she might get played less often, which helps combo out indirectly.
personally I'd like it more if they implemented the battle pass along with the daily quests.
Shadowverse, which is the only other card game I've played online - has a system that gives you daily quests to earn in game currency, along with login rewards AND a system that rewards you for earning experience in that month, which is usually card backs, new icons, and extra resources and packs for the next expansion.
I doubt Blizzard will ever give login rewards that weren't part of an event, but having the battle pass run alongside their current daily quests would be acceptable to me.
Edit: Also having the hero portraits be behind the paywall kinda blows.
And after you get to level 100 the gold rewards is diminished SEVERELY. I'm guessing they're wanting people to play the Arena for the extra gold rewards, too.
It may well be that the patch is something of a buff to Fungalmancer Flurgl. With murlocs taking such a knock, few will be forcing them anymore from the start. That leave the pool full of murlocs to drive the Flurgl engine. They might not be DSP murlocs in the end, but they will still scale pretty well.
This was Firebat's fault, but Blizzard should adjust their match scheduling so that each region starts at a set time. Then players would only have to be on call within a region's scheduled time, as you wouldn't have, for instance, NA's starting time decided by another region's playing speed. People in NA probably only want to watch NA matches, and it should be easy for viewers to know when those will happen.
My hope with the battle pass (since they seem to be pushing it no matter what) is for them to re-evaluate the value of the rewards they are giving as replacement. They should at the very least retain the same value.
As the video has mentioned, in their progressive system, 100 gold =/= to 1 pack of the current expansion. So if they plan on replacing say 1000 gold, it should not just be 10 packs of the current expansion.
IMO, it should be either:
10 packs of the next expansion, or
More packs to compensate for the loss of value. Say a pack of the current expansion is worth 50 gold (just spitballing the value here), they should offer 20 packs instead of 10.
Glad they nerfed Kael'thas, this will slow down all of those Big Spell Druid combos. Illucia was a fun card, but I haven't played her that much so I'm not sure what to think of her nerf at the moment.
But how come they fixed only some bugs, and not other larger bugs like Lorekeeper Polkelt's animation shuffling the wrong deck, Ras Frostwhisper being too big and Keymaster Alabaster having NO ENTRY MUSIC? Seems Blizzard has their priorities in order.
I stopped playing it for some time because of it. Up until today that is. I try the mode again today and the same thing happens, again! Its completely rigged at the end. Things are completely fair and balanced up until you get to that last match. Then 100% time, ever time. It will brick your hand and place you against an aggro deck.
I have got to that last match at least 10 times now and it does that. I pull all expensive crap or just useless spells and can't do anything until turn 4 or 5 and by then I'm already dead. I'm not joking. It's done it every single time. Not once have I had a fair match on the last one and have lost all of them because of it.
Prepare for Amalgadon meta boys. The all tribe is gonna rule once more.
Some analysis: Beast tribe seems weird, the “swarm” style seems to be pushed more, but it gets countered pretty easily by a few lucky snipes. We’ll have to see how these changes go.
Megasaur is finally gone! Good riddance. This will almost certainly make those stupid transition plays disappear for good.
Besides that, Murlocs have finally received a major buff in that Primalfin is tier 4. It helps them to tide over the midgame where they transition from tier 4 to the big important stuff on 5. I remember when Primalfin at 4 broke the game, so we’ll have to see how this shakes out. Overall I’d say that murlocs will still be very good, because they can still go galactic on their stats way faster than any other tribe.
Kael'thas's nerf is pretty understandable, but I seem to have missed the issue with Illucia, anyone can enlighten me on the matter?
Edit: read a little further down the thread for feedback and came to the conclusion that she was too uninteractive & frustrating to watch your opponent throw away your hand - 3 mana won't save it, but reduce the impact

I hated the cannon. It wasn't really op or anything, just extremely annoying to play with and against.

Sorry, but no. Again, The Beast is relevant, but not the HS card. Try to put it together with the second line!

No need to play pretend here.

Lava Shock?
I guess this because the beast’s flavor text says something about BRM and that’s the only shaman card that isn’t an elemental from it

Has anyone made a decent Standard Tempo Priest deck?
That's right, card draw is a problem, I keep using Big Ol' Whelp and Skeletal Dragon in my midrange dragon priest experiments because of that.

Nice! Wish I could dust my golden Kael...
Expeditions is totally rigged!
Usually 70-80% of your card pool draft on expedition should be around the 1-3 mana range to avoid inconsistencies.
Last match you get to repick up to 5 cards to avoid exactly the situation you are complaining.
