It's at least too good against Aggro rn. T2, play this, steal a Druid's Lightning Bloom, puke your Hand on the Board, give them some useless 5+ Mana AoEs, and leave them with Nothing after all that is just way too crippling.
I mean, I fucking love it, but admittedly, it's quite unfun to lose the Game just because someone played a specific Card on Turn 2.
It's not a big problem yet, but it's a difficult card to play optimally, so it will become better over time as players figure out what the right time is to play her and which cards of their opponent they should dump. So it's likely they were forced to nerf her sooner or later and they picked sooner.
Yeah, good catch! Didnt realize that. Tho there are ways to remove Ephemeral and/or revive your Champions without said keyword. Might be too tedious tho.
I'm happy with Megasaur being removed, but I don't think the change to Primalfin is going to be enough to make up for it. I hope that if murlocs end up being too weak that they find a way to add an interesting tier 6 option that isn't as polarising as Megasaur, but is still impactful enough to make a murloc build worth the effort.
Thank god for cannon being removed. I'm pretty sure almost everyone hated that card being in the game.
The change to Pagle is really interesting. By himself he is really weak, but buffing him up can give you some nice value and this could make him an interesting option in a menagerie build.
The beast changes are interesting as well. The Pack leader and Mama bear buffs seem a bit scary, but rat being moved to tier 3 is a pretty big deal as well (and a change about which I'm glad it finally happened).
All the hero changes seem great to me. Lady Vashj just wasn't very interesting or fun to play. Captain Eudora was in basically every game and was killing people way too fast. Adding more digs to the hero power seems like a good way to nerf her and I hope its enough. I didn't expect them to buff Reno again, but I like playing him so I'm totally okay with it. The buff to the Lich King is deserved and even a little scary, but he was just way too weak compared to a lot of other heroes before. And finally the Galakrond change is one I'm really happy with as well. Before it would feel so bad to have to freeze every turn for one minion while not being able to remove the other shitty low-tier minions, and getting a bad high tier minion from your hero power would straight up lose you the game.
It's always bothered me that I couldn't find a single source for Hearthstone's card and hero sounds. So, as someone trying to learn how to code, I built one as my first significant project!
HearthSFX
I spent most of the last couple months extracting and mapping the game sounds for each card and hero - Scholomance Academy included.
The site includes every play, attack, death, trigger, and entrance sound for each minion where applicable - including tokens and other non-collectible cards. The heroes and hero cards have all their available gameplay (thinking, out of cards, out of time, etc.), emotes, errors, and holiday voice lines. Any special interactions between cards and heroes are mapped in as well.
It's best viewed on non-mobile devices at the moment, but I plan on improving this for smaller screens in the future.
Eudora is gone! (again) Murlocs are gone! (Finally!) and the beasty boys are back in town! (To kill you) really though imo that mama bear and Goldrinn swap seems crazy.
There’s got to be more coming, right?! I honestly don’t hold my duplicates too long after a set comes out. Or at all! But this set ai have held onto almost all duplicates, only dusting cards that are not seeing play or seem very unlikely to get nerfed.
I want Devout Pupil and Argent Braggart to get a nerf. Partially because they could maybe use one, but mostly for selfish reasons of having a golden copy of both! Same with Potion of Illusion which I have 2 normal copies and 1 golden, but that’s far less likely than the other two.
All around pretty good changes. Kind of funny how over time Mama Bear and Goldrinn just kind of switched places. I wonder if in the next patch or so Goldrinn will get his stats changed to 5/5.
Has anyone had the bug where Lightning Bloom's art will turn around inside the card during a game? One turn the flower was upside down and the next it was facing right. Weirdest thing!
It is one of those cards that feels pretty bad when played against you. It sometimes locks aggressive decks on turn 2 and it is very cheap for its combo disrupting effect. I think they could nerf it again later
This card seems amazing to me! For 1 Mana you threaten to deal 4 damage to the enemy Nexus unless they take an awful trade by blocking with a 3+ Attack unit. It’s like Navori Bladescout but with less guaranteed damage and more potential damage. That being said, it is very vulnerable to removal, so if Make it Rain or Withering Wail are a big part of the meta, it might struggle to actually deal damage.
This seems really bad. Pretty much any case in which this could be used, Deny could also be used (I know they’re different regions, but Deny shows the power level of counters in this game). Deny is also pretty much always useful, whereas this will often do nothing (For example, Deny against Burn Aggro prevents a Decimate, this card would do literally nothing). However, I think that the incredibly limited and underpowered nature of this card shows that there will either be some way to summon units for the opponent (Like Hunting Fleet but for Shadow Isles) or there will powerful unit-summoning cards in this set that Riot wants to provide a counter for.
The main weakness I see is that Encroaching Shadows also effects champions. Currently, even champions like Hecarim would usually prefer to not have +2|+2 and Ephemeral. However, if Nocturne has Ephemeral or works well with Ephemeral, that could be a different story.
Last season i almost made to legend using a Highlander version of Quest Hunter that i created. The deck traded the consistency of duplicates for the sheer power of the Highlander cards. Dinotamer Brann is a powerful finisher and is also two bodies in one card. Pre-nerf Dragonqueen Alexstrasza was three bodies in one card and Zephrys just does a lot of different things. I could also experiment with some slower cards like Nagrand Slam and it was a very powerful finisher with a great synergy with the quest. DH was the main problem that prevented me from achieving legend.
I tried rebuilding the deck but this meta has too many giant minions and mana cheating and the deck can't deal with all that stuff. Dragonqueen Alexstrasza is too slow and weak now and we don't have enough time to complete the quest or even get to 10 mana to play Nagrand Slam. I like the idea of having multiple Zixors but those giant boards and big high rolls are really discouraging. Professor Slate could be a decent tech against such big threats but he lacks support to do his job properly. It will take some serious meta shifts for the deck to become a stronger contender once again.
Isn't the quest just a downgrade at that point? The whole point is to get the reward quickly and pressure with it, wouldn't running only 1 of each token card make it kind of...pointless? Dinotamer Brann doesn'T exactly benefit from the Quest in any particular way.
Dinotamer Brann is very commonly used to apply pressure instead of finishing the opponent in regular Highlander Hunter. I decided to take advantage of that as it would be helpful for completing the quest, apply pressure and act as a finisher. Those two points of damage could make a difference. I find regular lists of Quest Hunter to be too dependent on the opponent's mistakes or inability to remove a board to win the game. You have to wait for them to run out of answers or hope they play into your Unleash the Hounds. I decided to go for this route because it provides more ways to reliably finish off the opponent.
My list preyed on slower decks. I had over 90% win rate against Priests and they were responsible for my success for the most part. The quest reward doesn't give them enough time to stabilize. Highlander Mage was also a good prey but they could still find a way out through their RNG shenanigans. Galakrond Rogues were close to 50/50. DH and Warrior were the bad matchups. They were more efficient at applying pressure and dealing damage but Warriors were kinda rare outside legend. DH was all over the place though and that was enough to ruin the dream. It was the first time i got this close to legend. This sealed my distaste toward that class.

I agree, just have three different streams with fixed start time, one for each region. They could even do some regions during the week.

Murlocs will be dead until they receive a serious buff. This change makes them probably the weakest tribe we have ever had in BGs.
Beasts will be the "easy win" build, ahead of Demons and Mech. I don't know, however, if they will be able to get 1st place often.
I love the move away from high RNG.
Hearthstone's Kael’thas Sunstrider and Mindrender Illucia Are Receiving Nerfs This Week
I've had her played against me on the ladder.
The problem with her is that against aggro she's able to dump your hand.
Against Ramp she totally kills your ramp turn.
Against combo she wastes combo pieces.
And because the deck she's in is super slow there's usually nothing in the priests hand to use when they've played her, making you waste a turn.
