I think this card is strictly better than Captain Greenskin on curve (same effect + removal + slight chance to trigger a second time) and a slightly worse in the late game.
One more thing I've noticed is that people seem to forget that this is a Warrior and Rogue minion: Valeera's last months were completely centered around Galakrond, the Nightmare, but we may have enough support for a classic Aggro Rogue list (especially since Secret Passage will be a card).
One of my favourite cards of the set. I love a good random value generator, and this has the opportunity to steal spells from your opponent too! I don't know that this will find its way into serious decks - perhaps some fatigue strategies - but I'll certainly be running it in plenty of my decks.
Oh boy, the buffs are real this expansion. For 1 extra mana, you get double the effect of Blessing of Kings and the only downside if you can't go face for 1 turn
The tricky thing with spellburst is that it's most efficient when the effect is consistently powerful so you can always trigger it with a cheap spell. Headmaster Kel'Thuzad presents some challenges to this notion, as you don't want to trigger his effect with a cheap spell most of the time. It's also worth noting that decks that run removal spells may not care as much about having board presence. Still, I think Kel'Thuzad finds a spot in Galakrond Priest as a counter to its worst matchup: Highlander Hunter. Being able to threaten your opponent's Dinotamer Brann on turn 7 by stealing King Krush with Shadow Word: Death can be game-losing for the Hunter. Otherwise, I can't really find a sport for Ke'Thuzad, even in Highlander Mage.
I love that this is a neutral weapon. I'm also very excited to see how it ends up playing out, because I have to be honest - I love the mechanic, but I don't know how useful it's going to be in Hearthstone. My instinct is to say it's amazing, but that might be the Magic player in me.
I think Highlander Mage will consider this, and Control Paladin later on down the line when they get a better win condition. Highlander Mage needs more early game AoE, and they are getting Devolving Missiles to help trigger this against a larger board. The only thing that restricts its inclusion in decks is that control decks don't have great win conditions besides Priest, and they already have efficient AoE.
This feels so very pushed, and yet I don't hate it? I think because everything it does is just strong stats and protecting itself from damage - you can still interact, you can still play against it, it doesn't take anything out, it's just... good.
He hasn't even done anything nowadays hasn't he? He does all that big hype and drama of quitting Hearthstone for Gwent, and then he wusses out cuz he got heavily outskilled in that game, then he does more big hype of quitting Gwent for Artifact, and then that game tanked the fuck out and he hasn't been heard since, or seen.
While a 3 damage AoE for 8 is slow, this provides a lot of control synergy with the potential massive healing, unlike Cycle of Hatred which seems at odds with itself. The issue with this card is more of one of deck context in that control Shaman doesn't have a great win condition going into Scholomance, but I think if the archetype gets one, Tidal Wave will see play then.
From the looks of this expansion, especially with Lightning Bloom and the Druid legendary that refreshes your mana crystals, it seems like combo decks are quite possibly not going to be fringe for the near future.
I see this weapon in a more, control style deck, especially when you replace other removal tools to add in more weapon synergy cards like Steeldancer. Good thing it's a 1 turn effect, or it'll be broken.
Nope. I'm assuming that if Paladin is good it will be a play on curve mid rangy type deck, so any card that is awkward or difficult to fit into that sort of deck probably isnt going to be good. And Warrior struggles to enable it.
I actually forgot about Lakkari Sacrifice (shows how much that card flopped), but in any case, The Marsh Queen takes up the Journey to Un'Goro spot on the list anyway.
Idk about Cho'gall, I personally don't remember many people hyping him up. It was the first time we'd seen a health-instead-of-mana effect and that got people talking, but I don't remember people being super excited about him since he still cost a lot himself. Also surprised to not see Lakkari Sacrifice here. I remember people were losing their minds over the infinite value and board presence it could provide for the 'low cost' of discarding 6 cards. Specifically that was where TrumpSC got his famous '5-star' rating super wrong and tried desperately to make discard Warlock almost every expansion until it rotated.
Your opponent needs to play something eventually or they just lose. At least you're guaranteed 1 card, at most, you get a bunch of aggro cards you just got from your opponent

New Neutral Minion - Intrepid Initiate
Probably see play in aggro/zoo/token. Especially if you can buff this card on turn 2.

Now you mention that.. It might be good enough vs druid just to ruin their Kael'thas shenanigans.
New Shaman Spell - Tidal Wave
This is the perfect anti-aggro card... but it's 8 mana. Ooff 0.o
Maybe paired with Kael'thas Sunstrider?

Hello, shall you change my name to SilverWolf, with S and W in capitals.
Thank you =D

In the dungeon I go deeper...
Quest Trading - Play A Friend!
Battletag: Gergo2354#2964
Region: EU
Trade Only?: Yes, I show, you go first.
New Paladin Minion - Goody Two-Shields
This feels so very pushed, and yet I don't hate it? I think because everything it does is just strong stats and protecting itself from damage - you can still interact, you can still play against it, it doesn't take anything out, it's just... good.
Plus, I mean, great name. 10/10
New Priest Minion - Mindrender Illucia
I'm going to love playing with this card. I'll probably use it terribly, but when I get to dump someone's combo piece, it'll all be worth it.

New Paladin & Warrior Spell - Shield of Honor
This card is so many other cards combined into one card. Now enrage warrior can trade more efficiently, so definitely will see play

New Warlock Spell - Demonic Studies
Now does this automatically get included in any warlock deck?

This was a cool read. I feel like Frizz Kindleroost could be one this list too
