Glide isn't a control killer - it's a combo killer. It's annoying against control, sure, but it severely postpones combo decks in a much more profound way.
The big thing about The Marsh Queen is that she could have been a very neat yet balanced card if Team 5 had been bothered to tweak her at all--e.g.,
If it required playing fewer 1-drops to activate (or even just changing from played to summoned), then you could either spend less deck slots or keep all the 1 drops and be more aggro
If the raptors had rush, then they could at least do something the turn you play them
If Queen Carnassa had taunt, she could be more of a stabilizing element
As-was, she is essentially a mediocre value generator for a deck that by design will have the lowest value in the game to activate the quest. It was a cool concept which they fumbled in execution and then just abandoned to be unplayable.
How about an article for cards people slept on next? I remember people dissing The Caverns Below when it was revealed, and it ended up being the most nerfed card ever.
I definitely think Lady in White should be on the list, people were losing their shit over that card.
"Casting Inner Fire on your WHOLE deck, wtf were Blizzard thinking!!!!"
As it turns out the card was so exceptionally slow that it was utterly worthless. Even when you played it on curve it was rubbish and if you didn't draw it till late all you had were high health/low damage minions.
Void Contract was the worst card I ever seen and yet it had 40% meta defining votes.. how does a 8 mana DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and also is symmetrical for some reason, and guess who got 4 copies of this card?
Rebuke while it was an interesting card and had it uses it's really hard to really pinpoint when it would be used and in the end it was hard to slot in even in.. EVEN paladin which was the rage back then.
I predict Glide is overhyped this expansion, not gonna be a bad card but not a "control killer" not more than Divine Favor was..
Chameleos and Lady in White were so overhyped and they didn't see any play whatsoever. Surprisingly, they were not the worst cards of the expansion as Duskfallen Aviana took the crown of worst legendary ever and keeps it to this day. I also remember people freaking out about Frizz Kindleroost but none of the dragon decks needed her mana discount to be playable.
The card that single-handedly made Lifecoach quit Hearthstone in favor of Gwent, as soon as the card was revealed. Not even released yet at that point.
Yeah, Loatheb is possibly more powerful, but my point was that Loatheb is the correct comparison. Much more than Lazul, despite the nearly identical spying effects.
I have yet to see any of the card that are going to be at Paladin's use that aren't going to be awesome. The only thing I have to say where I differ from the consensus of what's been said is about Argent Braggart. I don't think that it was meant to be a one and done card. It's not removal, it is like Immortal Prelate, but will need some coaxing to find the right place where it works.
YES, Silence will be it's demise, much like everything. But cards like Immortal Prelate and Argent Braggart I don't think were intended to be stand alone cards, but part of something bigger and better. With the Prelate, I have found a lot of use in Wild with handbuffs and cycling through my deck. With Argent Braggart, I am seeing combinations with Subdue or similar "removal". I honestly thing that putting it in Pure Paladin will be staple in the coming meta.
I like the creative approach the designers took with this card, but it just doesn't strike me as something you'd want to use in your deck because of the variance of spells it could "remember." It remembers your opponents' spells too, so if your opponent plays a bunch of random spells, Educated Elekk will shuffle it into your deck, which is something you wouldn't normally want. Can you imagine your opponent playing the coin then the Elekk shuffling it in your deck? That'll be a terrible draw, and the fact that it could dilute your deck is what sours me on Educated Elekk.
It could still see use in some control decks that thrive on value, though (Thief Priest would love this). But for most decks, this will probably be a hindrance and won't make the cut. Hard to say though.
I personally like [Hearthstone Card (Madam lazul) Not Found] in Wild a lot. I use her in my Highlander deck when I see my opponent do something that I need to get prepped to defend. But just liking her doesn't add value to the card, only finding it's use.
This is something that a number of these other cards couldn't really use. Chameleos, I tried to make use of it. The only thing that I really found of any use for it was being able to see what cards my opponent was holding onto each turn, provided they didn't play the card it copied. But knowing that your opponent didn't have that Lightning Bolt or Twisting Nether in their hand was beneficial, but REALLY hard to justify a card slot for it.
The other cards, mostly The Marsh Queen for me at least, were real let downs. The only real hope that I can see to salvage any of these would be Troggzor the Earthinator with all the mage decks running around in wild. However those decks are running so much board hate that it still sucks.
The EXACT thing that is happening with Ace Hunter Kreen, I see a lot of hype and honestly can't see the fuss with it, token and small minions want to go face, not trade and leave your opponents opportunity to top deck removal.
I think the few games Stelina will win removing the only options from your opponents are way less than the games she make you lose by the drop in tempo.

Yeah, I'm sure that was the reason, not the fact that he could not keep up, and his viewers were starting to realize that he was mediocre.

I agree on this point, Lazul and Stelina don't have much in common, while her disruptive potential is much more similar to Loatheb.
I was only focusing on the power of the card in both the responses to your post and OP's post, my bad

Madame Lazul is a staple in each priest deck right now. Not broken but very good card.

In Aggro vs Aggro tokens DO NOT want to go face, they want to power trade, which is where Kreen shines.
Kreen does nothing against Control, but having an edge against Aggro is already a lot.
New Shaman Minion - Instructor Fireheart
Arcane Missile spam with Lab Partner.
New Neutral Minion - Educated Elekk

New Paladin & Priest Minion - Devout Pupil
Resurrect Priest more survivability
New Druid Minion - Forest Warden Omu
Oh, Druid. Soon you'll be able to summon a full board and destroy 30HP at turn one.
New Rogue Minion - Infiltrator Lilian
Uh, weird aggro, control mix. Hope you hit a high yield minion.
New Mage & Rogue Minion - Jandice Barov
2 high yield Deathrattles, one big, one small. Apply to more killable minion.

Proud that I gave a 1 to Chameleos, Revenge of the Wild and Feast of Souls. My biggest miss was thinking Bazaar Burglary will be the top tear. Well, it still has some chance, especially this x-pack. Madame Lazul sees play now in Scam Priest.
