The fragments are really good in warlock, more healling? that's great, they got both synergy and anti synergy with the warlock quest: each fragment is double card draw BUT if you draw a fragment with the reward hero power it ruins the discount.
Anyway of course this card is AUTO INCLUDE in any fragment warlock deck and it's probably just auto include in every slower warlock (and maybe DH as well) deck that isn't restricted by big demons or something.
Both classes highly appreciate the healing provided by the fragments
Disappointing! After 2 dual class reveals, I get the feeling that the design team is having a tough time with Rogue/Mage. Both cards seem very 'safe'. Wand Thief is not going to be meta-breaking. The randomness of Jandice Barov is going to keep this card at bay as well, and the design team knows this. While the effect is unique, I would hardly call it legendary.
1 mana 1/3 minions have historically seen play, Warlocks Voidwalker and Priests Northshire Cleric being the gold standard for those minions.
While this minion will not block 3 damage to your hero or help you cycle your deck, this minion will assist with shuffling cantrips that restore health once drawn. Demon hunters hero power and their assortment of weapons gives them the option to use their face to clear troublesome minions (especially with Blades of Azzinoth), whereas Warlock's hero power and their own powerful cards damage them for beneficial effects, both will appreciate the free life gain from the soul shards.
Warlock has an additional benefit from the life gain, however. In this set we were shown the Flesh Giant, a massive 8 mana 8/8 creature who is discounted by (1) for every time you change your heroes health on your turn. Since Warlock's healing is usually negligible these will help him cheat out the giant easier without putting himself into lethal range.
The Last Kaleidosaur quest requirement for 0 cost card, but it doesn't take a space in hand or makes a card that can be just removed.. yeah basically that but it doesn't suck as much, also you run 2 of him.
at base cost he is SunwalkerIt's not a that is comsidered playable in standard I will try to calculate/speculate how much a Sunwalker needs to cost to see play:
Second-Rate Bruiser didn't see a lot of play even in a Patches the Pirate meta, it was almost playable and it was quite close I assume if he always costed 3 he would always see play.. and he didn't come with divine shield..
the vanilla test (4/5 + effect) says it should cost 4 to see any play, so at 3 cost it's not a "Fair" card anymore so I assume that once you've casted 3 spells on friendly minions this is just great.
out of the vaccum.. a buff priest is pushed and libram paladin is tier 2/1 currently so it fits there, will need to see if there are more buffs being printed.
I was hoping for a good mechanic to come out of this new set, and I really am liking this. Simply put, the cards that give you Soul Fragments have a good effect on their own. Combine them up with the fact that you regain life when they are drawn is amazing, especially with the two classes that are using these cards. Both Demon Hunter and Warlock look at their life as another resource, and this gives more of that resource to them without dedicating "casting" a card to get it, like Holy Light
Warlock: Great 1 drop. Will certainly see play in zoolock, BUT that's only if zoolock even want's the Soul Fragment package.
Not necessarily. 1/3 statline is good enough to see play in Zoo without any upsides, and this strictly has an upside. The upside is of course being a demon, and getting demon synergies. They don't care about restoring 4 health some day, but they certainly care about a premium statline with a premium tribe tag.
If you are going to run a deck based on control and Soul Fragments, this will be necessary. I honestly think that unless you focus your deck on it, splashing in these cards is not a good idea.
Necessary for the use of Soul Fragment card triggers. Also the fact that when drawn they restore health is ridiculous. Other than that, the stats are pretty meh for the cost
Seems kinda busted. The cards that create Soul Fragments are solid in itself, so there's not really any drawbacks in running them. I'd daresay the battlecry might get a nerf to +2/+2 at some point, unless the meta pushes Fragment Warlocks out before that and the card never gets to shine.
New Paladin & Priest Minion - Devout Pupil
Decent enough, could take a spot in libram decks. Not fancy but does its job.
New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Spirit Jailer

New Mage & Rogue Minion - Jandice Barov
Very unique card, I can see it being put in Highlander Mage but not as a stand-out card
New Paladin & Priest Spell - Gift of Luminance
I don't see much use for this card, but i'm sure some genius deckbuilder will think of something brilliant with it
My first deck for this expansion
I will update it as new cards show up. I think it's pretty cool

New Paladin & Priest Minion - Devout Pupil
Great card in Libram paladin, and already worth it with 1 discount
New Mage & Rogue Minion - Jandice Barov

New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Spirit Jailer
1 mana 1/3s with upside always see play, and so will this one.
New Demon Hunter & Warlock Spell - Soul Shear
Like School Spirits, it's removal and healing in one. Great combination, will see play in any control warlock.
New Warlock Spell - School Spirits
Great control card, both removal and healing in one. Will see play in all control warlock decks.
New Warlock Minion - Shadowlight Scholar
Good card, tempo plays are always nice. Will see play in most soul fragment decks.
New Warlock Minion - Void Drinker
Pretty good in a control warlock, but not sure if it's worth running over Abyssal Summoner. Maybe alongside it.
Soul Fragment

Thus why, you read the comment.
Spirit Jailer
This could be a good splash card since it has great stats for a 1 drop, and it will heal you down the road for 4 health. Totally solid.
Soul Shear
Darkbomb with heal potential...

Marrowslicer
Necessary for the use of Soul Fragment card triggers. Also the fact that when drawn they restore health is ridiculous. Other than that, the stats are pretty meh for the cost
Shardshatter Mystic
Great.... Demon Hunter now has AoE.
New Mage Minion - Lab Partner
Overpowered card. This will carry tempo mage for the next year.
New Warlock Minion - Void Drinker
