  • Midrange: Pogo Rogue

Hello and thanks for checking out the deck! I tried to make a midrange pogo deck with a lot of card draw so that you can consistently get large pogos out on the field in a reasonable amount of time. Control pogo decks are a bit funky and essentially just a worse version of jade decks IMO. Since i went with a midrange build there is no reason to incude Zilliax since he doesn't have any synergy with the deck with the exception of being a mech, which i don't need, since i'll have an abundance of pogos.

  • New Demon Hunter & Warlock Spell - Soul Shear

    Quote From Demonxz95

I feel like 2 mana deal 3 damage cards are always good, so it seems this would be good too. Although it is weaker in the sense that it can't target face which you might've down with Darkbomb if you had lethal.

Of course, it's going to be a good card in Fragmentlock (as I'm calling it) and Fragment DH.

    Not soullock?

  • Scholomance Academy - Reveal Season Community Bingo

Adorable Infestation itself is also cute, it has 3 Cubs in the art! It is triple Cutie

  • New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Spirit Jailer

I expect Spirit Jailer to be a meta-defining card in Warlock. Even without the synergies, this does a lot

  • Devout Pupil

I've encountered version of the deck with a number of spells, but needless to say, it will still be a viable card to play as long as there are a few of them... although the more the merrier.

  • New Demon Hunter & Warlock Spell - Soul Shear

Seems like a pretty strong card even independent of the Soul Fragment synergies.

  • New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Soulciologist Malicia

Oddly enough, this might be one of the worst Soul Fragment cards. You probably need to trigger this with at least two Soul Fragments in your deck to make a reasonable play, but I think you really want three or four.

Warlock and Demon Hunter both have access to up to three distinct fragment generation cards, so if you're all in on the strategy then you're looking at drawing one generator every five cards in your deck. You should have drawn at least 10 cards by the time Soulciologist Malicia drops, so you can reasonably expect to have played two generators. Every other payoff card destroys a fragment, and if you draw them they'll be destroyed too (and both classes have tons of card draw), so there's very little room for error if you're hoping to use the fragments and still make her worth it.

Maybe there's a world where you delay playing your Soul Fragment generators so you have more in the deck when she finally drops. It's possible, but given how tempo-oriented most of the cards are, it also seems foolish.

  • New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Soulciologist Malicia

So the problem with this minion is that soul fragments in your deck does not threaten your opponent like the bombs needed for BlastMaster Boom does. And while a 3/3 with rush is good (see Rabid Worgen) you'll need to summon at least two for this minion to be above stats for it's cost.

and keep in mind, most late game minions will have a lot of health, you'll usually need at least 2-3 of the souls with rush to clear a priority target, which is another problem for this minion. Both Demon Hunter and Warlock specialize in drawing cards, a lot of cards, as we've seen with Warlock's Hero power and plot twist, and Demon Hunter's have used Spectral Sight, Skull of Gul'Dan, Chaos Strike Crimson Sigil Runner and the new Glide cards will help ensure you draw this minion but you'll also wind up drawing the soul fragments as well, which actually makes this minion weaker.

It's very fortunate both classes have 3 cards each that generate the soul fragments, and it's obvious that if you use the soul fragments you also include this minion, but I don't think she's very powerful on her own.

  • New Demon Hunter Weapon - Marrowslicer

This is basically a delayed heal version of Truesilver Champion, which is already very reasonable card. Add in the upside of powerful synergies and this should see lots of play if Soul Fragment Demon Hunter is good.

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Shardshatter Mystic

There aren't a ton of cheap ways to generate Soul Fragments, so this may not go off on curve. That said, Duskbreaker is a 4-drop and it's great, so this doesn't need to go off exactly on curve to be really effective.

  • New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Spirit Jailer

Great card.  I don't quite believe in the whole package though.  The legendary is underwhelming.  I guess there are a few cards left to reveal though.  Soul Fragments is a good theme that will hopefully get some more support through dual class cards in the next expansion.  They added Lackeys in multiple expansions and that worked out pretty well so there is hope.  My fear though is that they abandon this idea the way they did with C'thun, and the package becomes all but unplayable after 1 month in Standard.

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Soulshard Lapidary

If we set aside the fact that you have to attack with your face, this compares pretty reasonably to Cumulo-Maximus and Apexis Blast, both of which are very powerful cards. As a 5-drop, this curves out well with Soul Fragment generation tools, especially Marrowslicer.

Oh. If that's how it works, then I suppose you're right.

  • New Warlock Minion - Void Drinker

This seems very easy to trigger thanks to being a 5-drop, so most of the time this Earth Elemental with no downside. Great card, staple for the archetype.

  • Adorable Infestation is a New Hunter & Druid Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Scholomance Academy Expansion

Good KT fodder for cheating out 10-cost spells

  • New Warlock Minion - Shadowlight Scholar

Shadowlight Scholar is clearly good when it triggers, but I'm skeptical of how easy it will be to trigger on curve, which I think will be particularly important for a tempo deck (which seems to be what the Warlock Soul Fragment deck wants to be). That's not a bad thing, but Warlock has really strong alternatives like Darkglare competing for that mana slot.

  • New Warlock Spell - School Spirits

Volcanic Potion with an upside. Even if you didn't want to play any of the synergies, this is good enough for a control deck that wants the extra healing and the AOE.

  • 9 New Demon Hunter & Warlock Cards Revealed for Scholomance Including the Warlock & Demon Hunter Legendary

Nicely done! I like how the dual class cards support both class identities at the same time.
The warlock package seems like a strong anti aggro shel while the demon hunter probably just goes smorc and clears small boards simultaneously.

  • New Paladin & Priest Minion - Devout Pupil

Probably see play in pure libram paladin and little else. Nonpure list might find better use of that slot than a 4/5 taunt that maybe 0-2 mana at around turns 7. The main problem is if you get to play 6 buffs in libram paladin most of the time you either win outright or you're going to go a long game, both not using this card to its fullest potential.

  • Devout Pupil is a New Paladin & Priest Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Scholomance Academy Expansion

Meh. This card is only really good when your Buff Paladin is already firing on all cylinders. If you're playing this for cheap, you're already doing well, i.e. this is win-more. If you're in the more likely situation of having trouble sticking a minion to play your buffs on, this is another very expensive minion that doesn't help get you going.

  • 9 New Demon Hunter & Warlock Cards Revealed for Scholomance Including the Warlock & Demon Hunter Legendary

The new mechanic that requires soul fragments in deck for bonuses given to 2 of the most efficient draw classes.

The effect of using these fragments are really insane. Nearly all these cards are good enough, if a little too good, to build around so the soul fragment decks are likely to see play at high levels. At first I thought it too gimmicky, but turns out there's plenty of good cards that shuffles these fragments in deck like Spirit Jailer and Soul Shear, just enough to justify the synergy cards.

Soulciologist Malicia is a little problematic. You need only 1 soul fragment to make it an 8/8 stats for 7, but at the same time since most of the other cards consumes these fragments for good effect, and you're constantly drawing cards means its most likely you'll only ever see her summoning 2 3/3s with rush, and that might be too little to justify her inclusion. Its probably mostly a warlock card, since dhunters would prefer to just end games at that point of time with cards like [Hearthstone Card (soulshard lapidiary) Not Found]

  • New Region Tier List - Patch 1.6

Yep, that's what I had for patch 1.5 as well, look back at my post on that.

But I will sum up, Noxious had the best 2 drops, Ionia had elusives, Frej had the best champs.

These things were all gutted in patch 1.6 or tweaked at the very least, which was for the best

Now we see Ezreal in everything, and a whole lot of Bilge. Demacia is also a whole lot better

  • 9 New Demon Hunter & Warlock Cards Revealed for Scholomance Including the Warlock & Demon Hunter Legendary

Exactly, i liked the libram approach. I had higher hopes for it at launch.  However, after watching the video and the more i look at these cards, i'm fairly certain that they are going to be strong mechanics out of the gate.  Warlock's cards have me interested as something i might try out.. the dh stuff scares me to death bc i feel like this is the last thing it needs.
