  • The final Challenge

I've used Quest Warlock, one time try and pass.

  • Illidan Stormrage

This worked for me on the second or third attempt. I didn't have Reliquary of Souls so I played another Ooze.  Basically try get Khartuts down and Res them.

  • Wretched Tiller

    Funny man.

  • The Blue Portal

    Nice one.

  • Blizzard Has Fixed Tavern Brawl Illidan's Instant Win Hero Power and Missing Legendary Quest Rewards

As much as I would like to try it with Wild cards too, I was under the impression that it was their best leg to stand on, as they keep repeating how they want to make it nice and casual for new or returning player ; making it standard only simplifies the challenge for F2P.

Inconsistencies and patches plagued with bugs been a definitive constant over the last few expansions ; on one hand, we all appreciate frequent updates, events and what not, on the other, it also did increase the amount of bugs and glitches being introduced; quality control is defective. I haven't even dared - in months now - tried to play HS on mobile or tablet ... the chat bug where receiving a random DM would crash the app screwed me over more than once ; also see 'unable to sent any message', 'deck appearing as incomplete (28/30) while having 30 cards in' and of course, the upside-down badge for Arena.

Honest question : Is Team5 biting bigger than they can chew?

  • Blizzard Has Fixed Tavern Brawl Illidan's Instant Win Hero Power and Missing Legendary Quest Rewards

Glad to know this is what was happening - Illidan auto-win bug - Naive me thought my opponent had just faced an other one and straight up conceded to avoid re-living the same experience ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • New Meta For Season Of Fortune

I'll be honest I'm pretty luke warm about the predictions for the new season.

It's a lot of elusives, and burn in tier 1, along with Heimer that also just generates elusives.

That being said what isn't there is very healthy with endure and yoink dropping down to Tier 2.

The good news is that it's pretty easy to tech against aggro, especially if you're running shadow isles anyway.

Let me know what you guys think, again not endorsing these opinions so don't hate on me, just passing on the info for the hardcore.

  • Medarda was actually nerfed

Oh, for some reason i thought he could only draw cards when targeted by the oponnent... this is actually quite a nice buff.

  • [PSA: Free Arena Ticket] Ashes of Outland 1st rotation (April 7)

Has there been any word on second rotation yet?  Feel like we're WAY past the mid point of the expansion now.

This card is fantastic! You know what I think would make it more realistic for standard? Instead of summoning the highest attack minion with immune, maybe changing the immune to deathrattle: Give all your minions and summoned minions lifesteal. I feel like that isn't as strong as the immune, but has a crazy late game goal. What do you think?

  • Doom Lord Kazzak Challenge Mode - No Minion Mage

Work like a charm. Replaced Evocation and two rolling fireball with "random" mage spells and finally with a little help of rng with puzzle boxes, armor secret and lots of ice against the enemies both enter in fatigue mode but an Antonidas appears to give me the exact amount of damage to beat him. Totally epic hahaha

  • This Week's Tavern Brawl is "The Outlandish Burndown" Which Lets Us Play With Adventure Passives & Hero Powers

Turn 1, see druid opponent with some weird hp.

"deal 3 damage to an enemy or heal friendlies for 3" for 0 mana, and he can do it twice.

Me. Deal 2 damage to yourself and summon an imp.

    Concede turn 1.

And this, I'm led to believe, is the norm with increasingly stupid hero powers as you move upwards. Wouldn't know. I got my pack and got out while I still held my sanity.

Wish the quests actually understands that I had no chance from turn 1 so I can at very least concede and finish it up.

  • The final Challenge

1st try, thanks, spent all night yesterday trying different decks a few times each. The closest I got to victory was playing a "Wall Priest" almost made it, he had 14 HP when RNGeebus favored him. But this one, 1 and done, Thank you.

  • Supremus

Beat him with MarkMKZ's Standard Exodia Mage after a few attempts

  • Teron Gorefiend

beat him with a std res preist - took a few attempts:

  • Medarda was actually nerfed

I think that the Medarda change is good, since he needs to be low cost to get any kind of value from him. My one gripe with him is that he still costs too much to really be used in an Aggro discard deck with Draven, so I think he'd be better as a 5 Mana 3/4 or something.

I like the Crystal Phoenix, it synergizes with random effects and the hand mage deck. The only change I would make would be to change the Temporal Loops to add something like 5 seconds to the timer, so that the player who plays it isn't pressed for time as much.

The reason the Temporal Loops don't refresh the timer is because otherwise it would be possible to stall the game indefinitely by playing Phoenix, then immediately playing Temporal Loop, and now the Phoenix would be back in your hand and you'd be able to generate other Temporal Loops by playing it over and over again.

That said, the animation would be long enough (using the same as the Toki Hero Power) to where you can't gain a net-positive in time with 5 seconds, so it might not be a worry.

I think Hoptallus is an interesting design, but I fail to see what options it opens up in terms of deckbuilding. The most obvious one I can see is some kind of Mill Rogue or Battlecry Shaman deck using Hoptallus, but I feel like those strategies would be kind of annoying if they were playable. Maybe you could change the carrots to cost more and reduce their cost at the end of each round that they're in your hand?

Highlander Demon Hunter in Wild is just hilarious. Nobody expects Illidan to run Reno or N'Zoth. I just out controlled a Raza Priest who died by fatigue damage.

You should really try it, it's super fun and the win rate is good enough (I'd say around 50% at diamond 3). It wasn't my invention, I stumbled upon it on that other site.

It's more the play testing element of quality control that's lacking.

I don't blame the people actually doing it - I would guess there's not enough of them and/or they are not given enough time to do it properly by those in charge.

Certainly in the last year the quality of the product has suffered significantly.  It's got to the point now where I now expect a new patch to break things even if it's just a simple quest or tavern brawl etc.

And fix my arena badge!  It's a game critical issue!   (ok it's not really)
