I came back to the game recently and I'm that kind of player who care about reasoning behind every card in a deck. In other words - a proud, but very careful netdecker. Average players who don't netdeck wrongly think they are smarter and creative, but they just ignore facts (stats) and play bunch of tech cards to hard counter one deck (very creative) and lose all other matchups, because their deck is simply shit, not even fun, because it doesn't win.
A problem with LoR is that netdecking is still not developed enough, so people make even more mistakes than in HS. In HS majority of people netdeck the worst version (full of tech, day1, obscure, niche, eccentric cards), but because of general quality of HS net decks they still get a reasonable win-rate.
There are several sites with top pro decks. Then sites like Mobalytics, which seems the best one by far, but it says only streamers contribute data (?). LoR Guardian is another, but it's just more row data. Mobalytics has reports. Still, it's questionable how data is analysed. Probably good, but not good enough. General problems are: unrefined methods of collecting & engineering data, sample sizes, projected vs. expected (in an even field) win-rates, mulligan and card drawn win-rates stats. Even all this isn't enough, because for example win-rate of cards needs to be connected to synergy cards, up-times and other... We still miss all this, so biases of pros and data analysts are quite high (although very useful when it's the best we have). Proposed decks are often obsolete or some cards are not there for a reason, but randomly, accidentally.
Also, LoR has such mehanics that viability, synergies and usefulness of many cards is very high. Players play bad much easily than HS. So, it's even harder to discover what's really the best (if it's that needed at all). Still. I'd really like community would be able to develop data collecting more. Or the game isn't popular enough to hope for that to ever happen?
It would be nice if we get a thread on OOC dedicated to more detailed and pedantic discussions on meta, decks, card choices...
I've been having a blast with Radha, Heart of Keld. In combination with Azusa, Lost but Seeking you can ramp quite a lot and her activated ability is no joke if you manage to give her trample in the endgame.
Make it possible to search for Standard cards only in the card searching interface.
Similarly, make it possible to search for multiple expansions and mechanics simultaneously, for example Naxxramas, Old Gods and Basic at the same time, or Divine Shield and Taunt.
Show the number of results found. This would make it easier to evaluate the chances of specific things happening, for example, Solarian casting 3 of the same spells in a row.
Plus one, this is not a new feature, but could Results Display default to card images please? I feel like it's just more intuitive that way, that is how we see our cards all the time. It would remove two clicks for us.
Thank you to all the staff for working so hard on this site!
I have identified deck creators in the past and come to the conclusion that unless I'm doing a deck spotlight on that person (which I have done plenty of) players will completely ignore certain decks and only choose to play decks from Swim or MegaMogwai because they are currently a couple of the top Runeterra streamers.
I feel like this way people are more focused on the type of deck or what region combinations they might like to try instead of who created it. It's certainly not a slight against any of the creators and I'm not trying to push off any decks as my own. I've been doing the Top Decks articles that way for awhile now.
I was very tempted to just post Shadow Sensei, Tortollan Primalist or Tuskarr Jouster, but I figured I'd take the time to poke fun at my incessant inability to plan ahead, to the point that the majority of my design discussions are off-the-cuff orations.
Sorry, I've been playing FFXV lately and the deluge of puns and alliteration has left me shell-shocked.
Loving seeing all your great cards - I hope you've all been enjoying the competitions as much as I've enjoyed helping make them happen!
Not a lot of entries in both competitions so far. I could imagine that having to find two matching pieces of art was too much of an issue for some people in the other competition.
Anyway, that Vengeful Voidmaster looks like a cool card! I think it's a little OP but it's very flavorful and a cool design. Well done!
If your first thought to Build "Your Own" Deck is one of the few decks to beat Galakrond, You're probably far from the "only one" enjoying using a brain
Now that we have the patch changes where yoink was turned into nab, and cards are stolen from the bottom of the deck, issues have been resolved. As long as you are running two of a given card, you have decent odds to draw it even if one is stolen. Streamers call this a buff because it means you are less likely to draw your champ because you aren't getting milled from the top anymore, but I would say that any list that can't function without a champ in hand is fundamentally broken. This is why most ionia control lists should be running solitary monk on top of shadow assassin, giving you a good plan B option, or just run tutors...
Let's say you're playing keg control, with 3 gangplanks and 3 dreadway. That's effectively 6 gankplank draws, if you count thresh that goes up to 9. So now one third of your deck is gangplank, you are guaranteed to have him, and have multiple copies as insurance. So yoink milling you was a bug not a feature, and rebuild your lists accordingly.
Thanks for the deck lists, interesting to see what's considered the cream of the meta. I managed to go 7-2 with a slightly greedier than usual Sejuani + MF deck (with Tuskraider and Wolfriders). 1 loss to Elusives (managed to barely scrape a win against another), and another loss to a Teemo Sej deck that drew the nuts.
Just to point out, the Braum midrange deck is Mogwai's decklist right? https://lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/brov6spla4s47chvkvcg . Might be worth giving credit to the deck creator if it's an identifiable source.
In the OTK you usually use Moonfire andLiving Roots, which are cheap spells. You don't need big spells, as you create multiple copies of Malygos with [Hearthstone Card (Sathovarr) Not Found]. (most of the time you end up with 3 Malygos-one that you play, one reated on the board and the third, that Sathovarr puts in your hand.).
Heh, copied his Karnak with Soul Mirror, and then buffed him to hell with quest power :D He couldn't kill him (too much hp and no hard removal) or me (double healing + life steal).
Magtheridon Boss
Thanks! This worked for me on the first try.

Which was the hardest Deck ever to be played in Standard ?
Maybe back in it’s standard days, but it’s ridiculously easy now in Wild.
The Net Decking Trap - Logical Fallacies
I want to start by apologizing for what is going to be an indepth analysis of logical fallacies, in relations to net decking in Legends of Runterra.
Be aware, this doesn't apply to games like mtg or hearthstone where net decks are actually just objectively better.
We are going to use Elusive burn as an example https://lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/brpb1t1la4s47cjpnfn0
Originally this list used to feature two potions two retreats and 0 zeds
These 4 cards or slots in the deck are what we call tech choices, they exist to counter the decks you are likely to run into on ladder
The only problem is that said slots can only exist as good in a specific time and space in which they are intended.
For example retreat is at it's best when it counters get excited which forces the opponent to go down a card, which is found in Heimer Vi
The play rate of Heimer Vi is lower than initially thought and we replace it with Zed which is better in every other instance
Therefore you are better off coming to these conclusions yourself because you will always be faster than the meta shifts.
Please feel free to discuss but keep it civil - heart you all

3 feature requests for searching cards
I love this site, it has almost everything, but some small features in the card searching interface would be appreciated for convenience. (both for outof.cards/hearthstone/cards/ and https://outof.cards/legends-of-runeterra/cards/)
