Update on Grandmasters situation based on the top 8:
Show Spoiler
APAC is already locked in (since no player reached top 8): Alan870806, Bankyugi, and TIZS are guaranteed to be the top 3 prize money earners.
Americas also locked in (since only 1 non-GM reached top 8): NoHandsGamer, brimful, and Rami94 are the top 3.
Europe is still open (with FIVE players reaching top 8): only xBlyzes is a guaranteed GM, and totosh is guaranteedly out. AyRoK will get a place unless some very specific all-European finals happen.
If you already want to see the decklists, I've added them on the site. They will be included in the result post later as well.
Holy Mackerel was a problematic card on its own, it made building around a tribe completely irrelevant bcs Mackerel could smash any build by itself, so people aimed to build towards Mackerel instead of like Beasts or Demons.
In general the strategy for ranking in Battlegrounds is to aim to NOT LOSE rather than to win the lobby. That means just building reliably to get into the top 4.
However if you want to WIN the lobby (first) you need to go for a lategame build and decide to commit to it from the start. Murlocs require a lot of luck to pull off and survive with. However if you are able to weather the storm you basically always win. Its a high risk high reward kind of strat. So not really a problem as DS/P Fishes are pretty rare to encounter, like 1 in 5 games. Really not a problem.
A lot of the games I've played today have felt like they boiled down to "please let me attack first", but I feel like that's more just dependent on the builds I like to go for. An example is with parrot builds, which will win a majority of the matchups if you get to attack first and trigger goldrin 4+ times. It's worth taking the 50% chance to have a weaker build when you can guarantee a 50% chance to win no matter what is a risk I think is worth taking and while there are times you just lowroll to oblivion and never get to attack first, that's just the inherent 'downside' of that build to keep it in check. The same for the most part applies to pirates, which can either do the whole scale-on-attack thing or be reliant on salty looter and hogger to scale a ton. When it works its incredibly powerful and so I think its worth the risk of having it sometimes fall flat in combat.
I absolutely love playing her, easily tied for my favorite heroes in the game right now, up there with Pyramad and Nozdormu. Even ignoring the fact you get a golden for 4 gold, the triple reward makes it well worth it in my opinion.
Going by the data HSreplay has gathered so far, she's pretty decent as well. I don't have premium so I can't see what's it like only including games 7.1k+, but in the top 50% of games, she's the 6th best hero which is really good. There are times when her hero power does just dud completely but that's a risk I'm willing to take for the times when it performs well.
I know you didn't mention it in your actual post and instead just referred to it in your title, but Mackeral is far more problematic in my opinion because it would just trivialize certain comps. A traditional Murloc build would require you to dedicate your board to having murlocs while with Mackeral you could just throw them into any build for the most part and if you had two of them, there was a chance you could just beat every other person in the lobby ignoring the rest of the current build you had. It wasn't incredibly common but there were a lot of games that would just end because one person got two Mackerals and dominated every other player in a lobby with little to no counterplay.
As for murloc builds now, it is annoying to spend a lot of time making a cool build only to have it be destroyed by some random person who lucked into a Brann and a megasaur to get the two strong adaptations, but it doesn't feel like that happens very commonly. Murlocs are awful in the early game, hence why Flurgl has consistently stayed at the bottom in terms of winrates and so the main way of winning with them is to pivot builds once you can get a Brann and some triples. This isn't always the easiest thing to do and so it doesn't bother me a lot when one player ends up playing well and gets rewarded with this.
Overall murlocs feel more or less the same as they have since the beginning of battlegrounds, I don't see why they would be more problematic now than before.
I love some lore details, Aranna and Elise is a direct reference of Illidan, Malfurion and Tyrande based on their classes: Aranna being a Demon Hunter and Elise being an Druid/Priest mix. I want to know why Aranna will sacrifice herself for vengeance(tm) because that is all demon hunters story.
And I really love Rusted Legion marching using Mad Max and 300 references (Xerxes anyone?), loving the heavy metal environment.
And finally, I will wait for a fel Ragnaros encounter, he must have an appareance because Illidan taught self promote to him so well lol
The current draft game mode for LoR right now is Expeditions, but I think that due to giving cards in buckets it often leads to worse versions of constructed decks instead of truly unique decks.
My draft mode mode work like this: first, the player chooses 3 Regions out of an offered 5, then they are taken to a separate empty collection and given 65 random cards from each region and 9 Wildcards (that can be used for any rarity). This separate collection and wildcards would not transfer over to the player’s real collection. Then, the player would build a deck of 40 cards with those 3 Regions, using the random cards that they got as well as cards they crafted with the wildcards. After each victory or defeat they receive 2 Wildcards (to a max of 10) and they can adjust their deck. The run would end after 6 victories or 2 consecutive losses, and a second run can be taken after the first one (just like expeditions). The mode could either be played with an entrance fee and then give rewards based on victories, or be played for free with no rewards.
The point of this mode would be to offer interesting deck building challenges for players, as they would have to change their strategy based on which regions and cards they receive, and use Wildcards to refine their decks. I’m not sure about what the exact numbers of Wildcards and Random cards given should be, but it could be adjusted to an optimal amount that doesn’t lead to too consistent decks.
If you put a side by side comparison, Im sure dragon are just better in the late game against murlocs, simply because they can tech unstable ghoul, then give their own stuff divine shield via that one level 6 minion. Obviously, its harder to pull off, but its possible, and I've had my golden team buffed with double megasaur beaten by that combo.
Besides which, without brann murlocs never gets to those utterly broken levels of health and attack. And megasaur is hard enough to come by, divine shield + poisonous is not a given. Plus, they have to actually get rid of one slot to play this, then rebuild that last slot from scratch.
I can't say much about the power level of Murlocs in Battlegrounds, but I am pretty sure replacing Gentle Megasaur with Scalelord would only make the problem worse. Yes you get rid of troublesome adaptations like Windfury or Poisonous, but it would also make sure you hit Divine Shield every single time. And Divine Shield is the most OP adaptation of all of them.
I really must agree that the cake is a lie. For over a month now I switched to a meat and vegetable only diet, throwing out all the heavy breads and sugar drinks that were my daily guilty pleasures: even seem to have lost one or two pounds (not exercising hehe) and have gotten back a lot of energy and a lot less heartburn! Proteins and the stuff u find in plants is all your body needs, fellow fat gamers. Give it a try- the cake is a lie.
not a guess just a public service announcement ^ ^
Thanks, although it's strange there's nothing better than that.
Yeah, sadly there is no in-game way to take a screenshot without manually saving it. They implemented that years later for League of Legends, i dont know why they didnt include it in Runeterra from start. Might come later.
Kangor is pretty good here (and many control paladins), sinergizing with a lot of heals, which can save you against aggro. That makes him a nice craft for Wild-only players, but a good replacement would be Mistress of Mixtures. Heals, trades and can be recruited by Call to Arms.

Not that either. Another hint: the first line is about the card's name.

How about [Hearthstone Card (skull of Gul’dan) Not Found]?
does she say alas poor Warlock?
How to buy the pre-order (or anything) cheaper within Blizzard Shop without any problems/illegal actions?
