Boomsday Mage is the perfect expansion-class combo for this competition because of their theme. Also, I really like this art.

DestroyerR: Very interesting idea, but I think it's too expensive, especially with the fact that the hand is temporary. I think 2 mana is fine. I also don't know what expansion you've chosen, but it would fit really well in Boomsday, and you can kinda-sorta-not really get away with using Echo.
KANSAS: Very cool idea, but I think Obscuron's effect is a little underwhelming for the cost, even though mana-wise it's on curve. Really not sure what effect to give him.
CursedParrot: Luna's cool, but I'm not sure I like the wording. How about "After you cast a spell, loose 1 Durability. Deathrattle: Cast all spell that were cast while this was equipped."?
Algalon is also interesting, but you'll mostly use him for value-generating spells, since you don't want to risk Fireballing or Pyroblasting your face.
TheHoax91: Kinda boring design. It'd be cool if you also cast them. I you don't want a straight battlecry, make the second version target your deck only, then give it "Deathrattle: play them". You'd have to increase the cost significantly, though.
Hordaki: Doesn't really fit Boom's MO, but the idea is good. Maybe see if you can find an ethereal with a space backgorund and claim it's Raffam.
It's not crazy, I'm also thinking about testing Blessed Champion in Libram Paladin, but I didn't have the time yet. It worked well in a Dragon Paladin deck I played when Dragon Speaker was made available. Big minions + Blessed Champion = Win (if they stay on board xD).
My question is, does it fully disengage them and let you do whatever with the 2 units? If 2 units both being challenged are targeted, does it disengage them both? If so, that IS pretty busted and sounds buggy...
It does disengage them both, that is exactly my point. I don't mind them swapping places, just the fact that they can completely avoid my attacks OR even block other units that I thought were safe to attack without being blocked (since there were no other blockers on his board).
Every remark the other posters made is completely fine, they are talking about swapping targets, which is NOT what I'm complaining about. The point is that it disengages from combat your units which is technically not part of the effect.
Sorry, I missed that point when I first read this thread.
That might be an unintended bug. I want to say I've done this in the past expeditions and the swapped unit went in place of the challenged unit without the option to rearrange. Ionia is my least played region by a mile so I can't speak too confidently about it.
It does go in place of the challenged unit, but it looks like you can rearrange afterwards; still I guess it only works if you are still in your first blocking phase and not answering to an opponent's spell (any of those might have been a reason to miss the interaction). Still I can't believe it's just a recent bug, since both mechanics have always been in the game. At this point, it might even be an intended interaction, making challenged units only bound by their own 'challenger' or something like that.
Also reading again my first statement, my point wasn't very clear, I guess it was easy to misunderstand.
I had to look at the basic set for HS's no.4 because I couldn't remember the card's name. Then I had to look at the classic set because it wasn't in the basic one.
Oh, I get Clue 8 now! Pretty clever once you know how all three connect to the answer. Hopefully this is subtle enough just to give anyone who is stumped a nudge in the right direction:

There's a lot more flavor in the clue than I initially realized.
It's kinda false tho that Paladin gets zero card draw.
After the HoF of divine favour, they've got very little left in the evergreen set, but they consistently received card draw through the expansions, some of which are very good cards.
Finally, Paladin tends to play for Tempo, turn by turn through good standalone cards (Lightforged Zealot is a clear example), so there's or there should be little room for card draw.
If anything, Paladin lacks consistency in Tempo, that is, not enough good cards to play each turn, despite having some great ones here and there. That's a much bigger fraud IMHO.
And that's also why you feel like you could use more card draw: because most of the cards you can play are too weak against the current meta (ie DH, Rogue, Warrior having both better Tempo AND Card Draw than Paladin).
Quote: "C. crystal arrow should cost more, shouldn't draw an extra card (That's just gratuitous) and it shouldn't be created instantly in hand"
Ashe Creates the crystal arrow on top of your deck and therefore it is fine that it draws a card since it would otherwise replace your next draw entirely
Yeah, after I looked into ashe I realized my mistake, I just didn't understand how to fight frostbite, but now I do and I realize that I was simply fighting her wrong, I personally still feel however that ashe being out of range for a few things is annoying, but nbd
That's a very fair argument, I'm still feeling it's unfortunate that Noxus doesn't have any 1 drops that pair with a crimson deck, tho I do understand the fact they're meant to play aggressively.
Also thematically it kinda makes sense too, cuz in Vlad's lore he started in frejlord, then later made savage tribes worship him before living in noxus.
I didn't think about Toxic Reinforcements neither did I see other Dragon decks using it, but it's of course a good strategy to find lethal faster. Thanks for the deck!
So, I happened to find the answer to Clue 8, but by accident when looking for another clue's answer. I can't really see the connection between the three cards to the answer.
it works similarly to the mystical mirage treasure: cards in your hand are replaced by red-marked copies of random cards in your deck until the end of your turn. the repeatable this turn means you can do it multiple times.
It's close to being The Forest's Aid but with a 5/5 body on the board.
Play it right and for 7 mana you'd have 17 damage on board (and something that can survive an explosive trap / minor board clear ) rather than 10 damage for 8 mana with Forest's Aid
Rn I am trying to find the cake pieces scattered across some hs card pages. I must say, that some references are a good trip down memory lane, but others are kinda ambiguous. Like, for the 8th clue I came up with three good solutions, but at the end neither of those were correct.

Flash of Light, Crystology, Hand of A'dal are great cards.
You've got Call to Adventure too, which is kinda slow (the card should cost (2) ie Scavenger's Ingenuity), but still decent and reliable.

Card Design Conversation - Birthday Bash
Personally I really like the flavour of it as a card, and it fits perfectly with the mechanics they were trying for Druid in The Witchwood.
Plus, I like to imagine it taking the place of Duskfallen Aviana, which would be nice.
