If they nerf Demon Hunter too hard here, it's going to have serious playability issues in Wild, and potentially Standard, further down the line. If they keep having to nerf DH cards each set, it'll either become unplayably weak due to future cards not being powerful enough, or they'll continue to nerf new cards out of playability. Battlefiend and Altruis the Outcast are pretty crucial cards for most Wild DH decks to function at even a semi-decent winrate, and I'd be concerned if those are the cards they have their sights on.
Bad Luck Albatross is also possibly the only serious neutral answer to Highlander decks, which is crucial in Wild. I think a 4/2 or 3/4 statline would be more appropriate than nerfing its effect, which is a pretty important one to have in the game.
Honestly, if there's problems with the new cards, particularly with DH's, maybe those should be addressed in some way in the next set. Give the classes that struggle most answers that can pose reasonably well against them. Last minute design isn't always a bad thing, especially if it's done with focus, precision, and purpose. This habit of releasing cards and just banning/nerfing them out of the gate is a big problem in MTG right now, with way too many super-powerful cards being made every set. Hearthstone making the same mistakes is far worse though, because it only has two formats, and the original printing of a card being changed due to its power in one format denies it the unique and healthy interactions it could have in the other.
There's already very few hearthstone tournaments, and what with this virus around we're basically stuck at home for most periods, and then the idea is to ensure that we get to watch only the very final moments of the entire thing?
That's a bad move in my opinion. I was looking forward to grandmasters since DoD, and to find out now that its no longer a round robin throughout and that I don't get to watch the majority of the matches. Is twitch charging you to broadcast games?
Killed all the hype for grandmasters for me. I'd rather they show this instead of that inn-vitational.
Also, what happened to that self deck ban concept that came with conquest the last time round? I thought that was a good idea instead of regular conquest.
EDIT: Okay, I've gone around searching a little. It appears that youtube is still scheduled to broadcast the grandmasters. Not really sure what is happening here, but it may yet be some hope that we can still watch some parts of the grandmasters aside from the final brackets.
Hoping we can watch all of it, fingers crossed, even if they're not live.
I find it really weird that they're buffing Libram of Justice. Isn't it already pretty good?
Why would you think that?
https://hsreplay.net/cards/#text=libram&sortBy=playedWinrate has it as the worst libram out of the 3: deck winrate of 48.5%, played winrate of 45.4%. In other words: it's the only libram where you're winrate actually DECREASES when playing it--presumably due in large part to it acting as a "lose less" card more than the stabilization it was intended to provide.
Battlefiend - either 1/2 or 2/1. If the idea is to preserve dhunter competitively, then it would be a 1/2. Its still not that weak as a 1/2 honestly, but will definitely hit the class.
Altruis the Outcast - this one is obvious. The nerf will remove its ability to hit the face. Honestly, that was what's broken about this card
Glaivebound Adept - Didint see this one coming to be honest. Will likely tone his attack down to 5. Otherwise the effect will deal 3 damage instead of 4. Maybe even both. a 7/4 is pretty dangerous to leave alive. A 5/4, not as much.
Kael'thas Sunstrider - remove the ability to cast ALL third spells for free. Only the first will cost 0. This, I believe, was the original design. They then went on to make it what it was. Well, its about time that it got back to being normal again. This change will ensure other classes can still do stuff with kael, and will hit only druid hard and I'm okay with that.
Bad Luck Albatross - Well, its been fun. Will likely see a stat nerf to 2/2. Its sin was being good enough to see inclusion in any deck. As a 2/2, not so much.
Frenzied Felwing - Likely cost 6 now. So the earliest you can get this out is at least turn 3. Will likely kill the card and relegate it to being shaman fodder for evolve moves, much like poor old Corridor Creeper.
Open the Waygate - Increase requirement from 6 to 10. Still playable, just weakened for aggro. I much rather they nuke the card, but making it slower might be enough for now.
Bloodbloom - Increase cost to 4. Kinda a shame, I really love the design. But it had to be done at some point. They would probably want to ensure [Hearthstone Card (mecha'tun) Not Found] can still be played, while removing Darkest Hour cheese as a possibility.
Sacrificial Pact - Affect only friendly minions. Yes, you've had your one expansion of fame, now back to the collection book with you until the next time a demon deathrattle gets printed.
Libram of Justice - Mana buff to 5 instead of 6. I don't really know why this one got buffed. They could've just buffed up Libram of Wisdom to a 1 mana spell instead. Maybe after all the nerfs playtesting reveals paladin get to actually play for once, so they'd rather not go too far.
Or...if the idea is to make Libram of Justice one of paladin's best card, just give a 1/2 weapon with immune while attacking. That works as well.
We can give Blizzard a pass on that though, it's good to see them quickly reacting to their new class.
YOU can give them a pass if you want, Flux, but personally I feel like I'm getting whiplash from trying to play this game. This is the second straight expansion where they release a handful of grossly OP cards and respond with a two emergency balance patches. At this point, I have to seriously question their balancing strategy.
Battlefiend - if they make it 1/2 it's not a good nerf at all(plus they keep a growing 1 drop in the game.. THOSE ARE BAD FOR THE GAME!), if they make it a 2/1 it's not playable anymore, hoping for a mana increase to keep the card viable.
Glaivebound Adept - I dunno I hope they don't kill the card, could see them lowering it's hp or attack and keeping the effect. or lowering it's effect to 3.. any of that is probably fine.
BTW the above 3 cards could be much more balanced without Twin Slice at 0 mana.
Kael'thas Sunstrider - 7 mana maybe.. even 8 he comes online too early and does crazy things..
Bad Luck Albatross - they will either give it 4 mana or 4/2 or 3/3 one of those.. if it's shuffles just one it ruins it as a highlander counter card.
Frenzied Felwing - probably we will see it either at 6 or they will reduce it to a 3/2. (IDK why they though this card was ok on release).
Open the Waygate - probably play 10 spells that didn't start in your deck, that's how easy it is now to create them.. don't play enough wild but they normally complete it too fast when I do play against it.
Bloodbloom - hoping for a mana cap of 5 to keep Mecha'thun around but kill that obnoxious combo, but it's Blizzard so +1 mana cost and the power level is too low for wild.
Sacrificial Pact- this one is no brainer - "a FRIENDLY demon" keep it as good as it is in galakround warlock before AOO. also if you do this please remove it from zephyrs' pool I can already see zephyrs suggesting this card after that nerf.
Libram of Justice - happy they finally acknowledge they should buff archtypes that came up too weak (too bad for freeze shaman, it could use so many buffs... still have a morabi(obviously didn't craft)).
As for the buff, the card already does what it does(you can't really change anything on the card) so I think a mana cost change of costing 5 or if they REALLY want to push librams so 4 (rip equality)
Kael'thas Sunstrider - The third spell costs (1) instead of (0). Or make it so that the effect only happens once per turn. Honestly, I thought its effect being able to occur multiple times per turn was a bug until I re-read the card.
Open the Waygate - More than 6 spells needed to get Time Warp. Nowadays, casting 6 spells from outside your deck is just something that naturally happens every game for Mages, and it has been for a while.
Bloodbloom - 3 mana? I don't really see another change they could make without revamping the whole card altogether.
Sacrificial Pact - Changed to only target friendly Demons. The card was never intended to really be able to kill enemies in the first place. Its ability to do so was harmless when only Warlock had any Demons, but now there's Demon Hunter.
Specifically regarding classic-expansion content. At what point does blizzard feasibly stop the re-release train? I always said that Wrath was the peak of WoW (both in terms of it's core demographic, popularity, peak concurrent subscribers and it's ability to create good content that didn't completely obviate the systems that it had developed prior). I mean, I don't think it's feasible for Blizzard to just re-release all expansions. There has to be a stopping point. I feel fairly confident that they will release Burning Crusade though. (Just look at Hearthstone and WoW…
Someone can correct me, if I am wrong, but I didn't see an official response about the final legacy expansion. It's very likely to be Wrath due to the reasons you and Flux mentioned above, but IMHO we will see another survey from Blizzard asking us what we would want next. If enough players want Cata, then we might see that expansion as well. If people aren't in the mood for it, then Classic would be based on a 2-expansion package.
Without a doubt, they'll continue to ask what the community wants si once they're actually being pretty smart about how Classic is being handled. I do think Cataclysm is going to happen though as will Mists of Pandaria since the nostalgia for them comes up all the time which means we should get a good chunk of people responding positively to it. Mists more so than Cata but you need one to get the other.
What interests me a lot about Cataclysm is knowing handfuls of people that started playing WoW in Cataclysm and so they have this big nostalgia for it. I think the popularity of Wrath lead a lot of new players to the game with Cataclysm since it was a fresh start, though it, unfortunately, didn't keep all the older people playing which lead to the drop in subscribers and eventual embarrassment which kept the numbers from public eye
I am surprised to see that I actually recognize quite a few of the Europe and Americas GMs, but am only familiar Blitzchung from the Asia-Pacific list.
So what? epics are not that hard to come by, if you come from HS there are really niche epics that require other cards as well.. for example for playing ANY galakround deck you really want kronx and for some versions you need niche epic cards as well..
in runeterra there are also some epics that really work with one strategy.. for example the purrsuit for perfection is REALLY niche it's only might be good in a highlander deck..
all in all.. it doesn't matter how niche a card is as long as it got a deck to belong to.. and I think swain has many decks it can fit into.
Hey guys, i just want to say that if someone got interested in my Spiteful DH, i just updated the deck and its a lot better now! Thanks for highlighting it and hope y'all like the new deck ;).
Broxigar, Jaina's brothers (I forgot their names, both are sailors, rogue is strong on pirate/seas theme).
But I will bet for Tess Graymane, sister of Liam Graymane and she is legendary since her appeareance on Witchwood .
Edit: Wrathion, Sabellian and Ebonhorn are brothers, as any other dragon of the same flight, and the black dragons are related to the Ravenholdt Manor, a rogue organization. But I still think Tess is the one.

Having read into the story some more, and with no other clues to go on, I'm standing by Calia Menethil as my final guess/answer. Her younger brother slew their father the king and turned into The Lich King; that's pretty significant. She's also gained in WoW relevance recently as a potential leader of the Forsaken now that Sylvanas has abandoned them.
Calia would be a Priest alt hero, and could have remarks for both the Arthas skin and the Sylvanas skin; she's also friends with Jaina.
Passive: restore HP and get hp every takedown(doesn't have health gain) or when applying his other passive that pulls a champion on his direction when hit by another CC(it's not exactly a stun when dealling dmg)
Q: it's an AOE attack with very short range if it were to be implemented it would be a cleave.
W: it's a long range slow which has a small AOE and activates the first passive (nothing alike)
E: it's a claw root that goes and returns to a certain range - doesn't fit any effect except the stun kind of .. but it's a root not a stun but looking at yasuo stun could also be a knock up...
R: no hp drain AGAIN, only his nexus strike makes sense for his 2nd ult proc that blows up (but it should depend on damage done during the ult..)
So I don't think it's a smooth transition.. the card fits swain as a character but NOT as his kit in league.
I doubt they'd release Vereesa now. Would be kinda boring if all Hunter ever gets is Windrunner sisters
I believe this is especially true because Vereesa has nothing special about her, in terms of a unique selling point. If Alleria's Hearthstone portrayal had her Void Elf appearance, all three would look different and thus be worth including. However, because Alleria is in her regular form, having both her and Vereesa would be redundant. Vereesa is basically "just" an elf ranger with two more famous/relevant sisters, and nothing more.

Battlefiend will become a 1 mana 1/2 with same text
Glaivebound Adept will become a 5/4 with same battlecry
Altruis the Outcast will cost 4 mana
Kaelthas Sunstrider will cost 7 mana
Badluck Albatross will now be a 2/3 or 3/2
Frenzied Felwing will cost 4-5 mana
Open the Waygate will be increased to 8 spells that didn't start in your deck. It's not even that hard, still
Bloodbloom will be increased to 3 or 4 mana
Sacrificial pact will be "Target friendly demons only"
These are my speculations
