  • Out of Cards Changelog - 2020-04-07 - Collection Manager for Hearthstone

Would data laws be less of a concern if importing from HSReplay was manual only? That is, you would provide your region and account id, but would have to click a button to sync your OoC collection every time you wanted to update it. I would think consent could be inferred from having to manually click the button each time. Perhaps a disclaimer would still be necessary. Obviously, IANAL.

Also, I couldn't find any documentation for HSReplay's API, is it possible to link accounts with third party sites like this one?

If it was manual only, yeah, clicking a button would be good enough for consent as far as I'm aware.

HSReplay does allow "apps" (sites would be included) to connect, we'd just have to ask them for access. Then we'd implement them as an OAuth2 scope on the site and you could then connect accounts. I'm not saying we won't ever do it, it just isn't something I want to focus on right now which is why the simple workaround was added.

We're playing a little bit of catch-up with today's patch notes, including changes that have gone out previously.

    New Features

    Hearthstone

    • The collection manager now supports importing cards via JSON.
      • If you have JSON from your collection, you can now import it.
      • This is mainly for users of HSReplay that have their collections already synced there.
      • To get your collection data on HSReplay, use the following string inside of your browser's console (F12) while on their site. This will give you a link that you can click to then copy and paste your data into the form.
    • Card pages now detail how cards and their golden variants are unlocked.
      • Mainly for adventures and basic cards.
      • We'll use this for other stuff too later on.

    Bug Fixes

      • This is isolated to collections imported from HSReplay.net.

    • [Saturday] Increased the number of characters that could be used when describing card design competition entries.

  • Card buying limit?

Same thing happened to me, the shop didn’t show the battle pass or AoO packs. I even clicked away from the shop and entered it again and it still didn’t show them. Eventually I just quit the game and started it again and it was fixed

What about twin slice? That card is absurd and enables alone kaelthas otk as early as turn 6.

I forgot... Priestess of fury. Seriously? A better ragnaros that can attack, get discounted and be played on 5 and clearing the board while also hitting face? It's simply disgusting

Isn't it just premature? The cards are just out one day.  It's a while new class shouldn't we let it be for a little while and see how everyone reacts?  There has to be a way for most classes to beat it but they just haven't found the right deck yet.

Hsreplay showing dhunters total domination on both standard and arena, how much longer should we wait?

Longer than a day.  It's a brand new class so a lot of people are playing it.   Just chill out and let things settle.  Everyone will play it a little less and be decks for other classes will be played.

Doesn't sound intentional. They'd get a lot of shit from the community if that was a design decision.

At least you ended up with a golden legendary, lol.

I crafted them instantly when I didn’t open them!  No regrets either, even if they do get nerfed.  I still want them.

I guess the take they're going for is to intentionally make overpowered cards, and then adjust them accordingly. If so, then that's a very bold idea.

As it's also a new class (and the first in the game's lifespan), there's obviously going to be a lot of fine tuning involved.

Yeah, I said to someone earlier they likely went for strong cards because launching a new class and having it suck would be devastating

    Alternate, easier way.

    • Open your console (F12)
    • Input the following into it. (This will show you a link in the console you can then click)
    • Note that if you use multiple region collections on HSR, this gets whatever the first one is in their data.

  • Card buying limit?

So I was buying packs from the latest expansion (AoO) and bought them by bunches of 10. After buying 20 packs with hard-earned f2p gold, I decide to buy some more. Then I realize packs from Ashes of Outland are no longer being offered in the shop and I had just mistakenly bought 10 packs from Descent of Dragons :'(

After logging off and back o, packs from AoO were available again. Is this a hack prevention strategy from blizzard's server? I wonder...

Too bad for my wasted gold. But hey, on the 10th DoD pack, I got a golden Chenvaala. So...karma ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Actually, I think it was when they attacked with the 4/4 that the Attack got readied again. Maybe I’m wrong though, the video was highly edited so it’s unclear how it really work

I think only the very last combat at the end of the video looks uncut. The previous ones do look very cut off for splashy effect. But yeah, either way, the video is not a great definitive source of information for this.

  • Monk should have been the new class

    Staff

Feels like integrating a fast, aggressive class makes sense as your first addition. Ppl will play it more, so you will get more data and it will probably be easier to design cards for it and see how it goes.

Making a complex control oriented class could be too cumbersome as a first addition.

Fast and flashy, that is the name of the game for masses usually. If the concept holds, then you can built upon that imho.

If you visit your collection page on HSR and hit F12 to open your browser's console. You can follow these steps to figure it out.
    https://hsreplay.net/collection/mine/

    1. Click on the console's networking tab.
    2. Reload the page.
    3. Using the filter on the network area, search for "account_lo".
    4. Right-click on the URL that pops up and open it in a new tab.
    5. Copy and paste the entire contents of that page into the new field in collection management.

I have won literally ONE game with DH after playing well over 50. If this class is OP, then I'm horrible at this game, which I know isn't true, because I have a 60% winrate with almost every other deck I play.

Counter point: I threw together one of Blizzard's premade decklists, substituted the 3 cards I was missing, and then went 8-0 for the night.  If this class isn't OP then I'm incredible at this game, which I know isn't true because I generally have a ~45% winrate.

  • Hi,

You forgot to put Galakrond for Fiendish Rites...

    Success after 5 tries.

link to that deck for those curious.

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

With DH being a brand new class it’s understandable that the full scope of how well they would perform once introduced wouldn’t be easy to predict. So I can see how these OP cards got printed. They wanted to make sure they were a strong class considering they have a lot less cards to work with than the existing 9.

Im glad the nerf is coming so quickly. On HS Replay the most popular deck is at 69% win rate with over 30,000 games. Completely green matchup spread against all other classes and archetypes. It’s no wonder the nerf is happening  in less than 48 hours from release.

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

    It is surprisingly predictable..!

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

Those are some great news. Btw I have a question. Shouldn't Battlefiend also get a slight nerf? It really reminds me of pre-nerfed Small-Time Buccaneer, which was considered to be too good for a 1-drop. Even though the 2/2 demon is a class specific card, the fact that it can get buffed so easily should have raised red flags too.

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

I honestly think that whatever they do, will make the cards they choose unplayable.  But here is what I'd like to see to make it more balanced:

Skull of Gul'dan - to 7 mana or the reduction will only be 2

Imprisoned Antaen - to 7 mana or down to deal only 5 damage

Eye Beam - cost reduced to 1

    Aldrachi Warblades - 2/2 down from 2/3

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

I liked RegisKillbin's idea of changing it to a Start of Turn effect. That would actually justify the statline it has now, and maybe encourage a slower deck.

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

Perhaps I didn't understand your post, or there is sarcasm/humor that didn't come across for me.

But are you saying your winrate with Demon Hunter is less than 2%?

If so, can I just check you strategy isn't to start a game, and then go and paint the spare room for half an hour?

  • Demon Hunter Nerfs Arriving Today! More Hearthstone Outland Balance Changes Coming Soon - We Were Not Prepared!

Yeah... we kinda all expected this. I'm a little surprised they hit Aldrachi, but the other 3 are very justified. PREDICTION TIME!

I think they'll either increase the cost of Antean or reduce the awaken effect (maybe like 6?)

Eye Beam will go to Outcast - Costs 1.

Skull Of Guldan will either draw 2 cards or reduce the cost by 2 when Outcasted

And Aldrachi will most likely become a 2/2.

Let's see how accurate I am...

But team5 has got to stop printing cards for week 1 nerfs. Glad they are addressing it, but this should have been theoretically dealt with before its even shown to us.

    +1

I always wonder why some obviously overtuned cards get passed the drafting stage and are let into the game before the devs finally give them their proper adjustment.
