That other format where there's a bajillion other things I'd want to try before Baku decks?
That other format where they barely regulate and attempt to balance?
Wild is fun now and then but it's not always the answer for being bored of Standard.
Also, I admit I forgot about the resurgence of Control Warrior, I guess entirely because it's still in the resurgence phase. The deck's still picking up steam and turning heads.
Then why don't you try those bajillion decks out if you're bored of standard? I really don't understand the problem here. As you said, the last month of standard pre-rotation/expansion is a pretty dull period. So change it up by trying a different format or a new gamemode entirely.
Fyi, that other format requires little regulation or balance as it usually balances itself (as it does now) excluding a few exceptions.
After those I don't really know on which one to focus, since I haven't seen any deck that has taken my attention on the others. Probably P&Z because Teemo for the memes.
Some threads in different Categories look greyed out like the were deleted - like i see the thread once i get on the subforum but not who opened it or the last comment etc.
Not sure if this is normal or anything - anybody else have this problem?
Also there are some weird Threads with different names like "carmenren" or "vailontomb" etc for example - and once you click on it it looks like you are about to write a post ...
Well, right now i like the meta very much - since Descent of Dragons i've had so much fun with many different decks and hell i even face so many different ones - my last 10 games was against 8 different decks and 2 of them i haven't even seen before. Could be that some people try some crazy stuff before the meta shifts but still - lots of fun.
I agree with some comments above , and think Blizzard is handling the Game pretty good right now. But i also have to agree with YourPrivateNightmare that it would have been fun to have Genn and Baku back for a short amount of time to see what could have been :)
Last expansion was nice but surely not that big of an impact in comparison to other expansions - story mode was nice but a little to easy but i guess i like the DoD Expansion because i got to play many different decks this time.
So im hopeful we will get more cool stuff with the new expansion and more new decks with the rotation.
There are little to no decks for the old adventures on here (which makes sense, this site didn't exist when Nax came out!) So sadly, my searches for help on some of the heroic bosses, has taken me back to that "other" site. A comprehensive guide of each adventure with a couple of suggested decks for each boss would really set this site apart from the others.
I would love to write these guides, but I don't know how quickly I could get them made.
Most adventures can be beat by Mechathun Warlock or Knife Jugler priest OTK deck
I've been bored with standard for most of this xpac. DoD has been the biggest letdown in my opinion.
I had been playing BG's to keep things interesting, but even that mode has become unplayable now that it's wither Demons or lose. (yes, or abuse Murlocs, but that's not the point)
So now, to pass the time, I have been finally going through and clearing Heroic on all the old adventures.
Really hoping for something to really shake up the game. The last xpac of the year always feels the most stale to me, and is always the stretch of the year that I play the least amount of Hearthstone.
Side note to the OOC team:

I was kind of hoping they'd let Baku and Genn return at the end of the year as sort of a "what could have been"....y'know letting us try all the Odd and Even decks that presumably would have influenced Standard if they hadn't retired early.
Part of me still believes this will be the case in the last month before the rotation hits, just because decks like Odd Mage and Even Hunter have so much potential yet will never see any play in Wild whatsoever. Also Even Rogue....Even Rogue with a 4-mana Raiding Party makes my Peepee hard.
Nope, you aren't. I'm rather disappointed myself. Could have been something really cool, really silly, or just admitted that Rafaam didn't think it through and wanted a cool sounding name that didn't mean anything. Any of those options could have worked, but not telling us kind of makes it feel empty in my view. I'm going to assume the latter of those three options myself, just to fill the gap in my own mind.
I wholly agree. But then, I suppose in any digital card game where you're actively trying to limit card text, you're always going to run into weird interactions that don't really make sense on the face of it.
Well this is old deck but lately I have been using a lot of this deck with mech / heropower synergy. So in my variation I include the Clockwork Automaton and Arcane Amplifier and some other mechs like Wargear snip and Zilliax. And also Galaxy spell and two faceless manipulators and arugal and khadgar and janalai. So basically I have then a lot of win conditions:
1. Minions+Magnetize+Hero Power (tempo style) just magnetize big threats and finish off with big hero power. Control board with Spirit of the dragonhawk. This works if you get enough mechs early on and a dragonhawk.
2. Late game: output a couple of Ragnarosses (and maybe copy them). With all the hero power buffs it is easy to get Janalai on-line.
3. OTKs: two of them are awesome: using reduced to 1s hero power buff cards you can suddenly have lethal from hand.
4. Other one is putting 4 rags on board in one turn using Khadgar+faceless your khadgar+janalai => 4xrags = 32 damage. If you can do this on an empty board its game over almost always.
The beauty of this is that there are almost no weaknesses. Since you have tempo, you have healing (with magnetized Zilliax and/or copy stuff), you have OTK (against control matchups like priest), and you have AOE with dragonhawk against token decks. I have beaten all decks out there with this one.
As for the main topic, I fail to see how having BG split from HS would make HS a better game in any way. The whole "make sure there's a large enough fanbase before kicking off a standalone game" doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either simply because despite having a bunch of questionable actions the last couple of years (Diablo Immortal, Blitzchung incident, Warcraft 3 reformed), they can still release a new game and have a ton of people adopt it quickly.
While I agree that separating HSBG from HS wouldn't make sense (HSBG really doesn't have what it takes to stand alone in the auto-battler genre, in my opinion, while it can operate in a floating niche as a lightweight alternative via the HS client) - in a hypothetical world where it was done, I think it'd be done more to support HSBG than HS.
I don't think it'd be beneficial to HS in the slightest, but I can see significant benefit in getting some distance for HSBG - being inextricably tied to HS closes a lot of design doors. It's very difficult for them to release interesting new minions for HSBG when they're inevitably required to 'work' in the context of HS itself (even if they don't actually exist in HS). There are all kinds of mechanics they could use for minions - such as, for example, having an effect which triggers if you lost the previous round - which they can't really use so long as HSBG is required to be a reflection of HS.
I don't think I'd be able to understand having more than 18 deck slots. That feels too complex and I'm not sure I, or any other players for that matter, can adapt to such a mighty change.

I believe Blizzard is just going to add new ways to play the game. Not in the "Oh hey it's a new format like wild but it only goes back to Un'goro instead of all of the old sets" sense but more in the same way that MTG has branched out to make other formats possible. Formats like Pauper and Commander both see a ton of play and they wouldn't be hard to implement into Hearthstone and would provide a ton of new ways to play the game, as well as a ton of new ways to monetize the game to make the investors happy. Considering that Hearthstone has been a game for almost 6 years now and there are still only 5 game modes is surprising to me. Once again comparing this to MTG, there's a ton of formats that have formed just because WotC essentially lets the community make whatever abomination they want and if it sticks, they support it. If Blizzard makes a tool to create a 'custom game mode' similar to what they did with Overwatch, I could see it being the thing that "cements HS for the next decade". Maybe not for that long, but definitely for a year or 3.

Just got all of them to 8. Not sure if I should now get all of them to 12 or just get them to 20 in one go.
Hot take: I'm so bored of Standard I'd welcome Baku back with open arms for this last month.
