I see the vast majority of non-collectible cards have a rarity of None. There are a few of the other rarities, so it isn't guaranteed to find it that way, but it seems like a great starting point. If you didn't try that already.

Edit: Wait, you already narrowed it down to a single expansion before clicking them all? How?

I´m glad you´ve finally solved it, sorry for not being as helpful as I wanted. I guess making hints doesn´t suit me. Good luck for the next ones! :)

Well, focusing on the 3000 LP part really helped narrow it down for me.

  • Reminder: Full Dust Refunds for Hearthstone's Lich King Mini-Balance Patch End Soon (Golden-Only Sire Denathrius & Shockspitter)

I dusted my two copies of Shockspitters as soon as nerf hit. I recently got another one so nice to get a reminder to recheck.

Wow, that might've been the hardest one in the history of this website for me.

If you were referring to "After your opponent summons a minion, destroy it.", there is no way I could've figured out what you meant besides hindsight.

To answer the italicized part, yes, that was a part of my hint, I hoped you would catch it :) So try to get those two together to make one word and add another word that was silenced/unsaid at the end of my hint… - This all reffers to the name of the card (and it´s not from BGs or Mercs).

Hint 2: If you want to focus on the effect of the said card, check your first guess - it was partially correct, just reverse it. Hope I didn´t confuse you even more XD

Yeah, I suppose. I just wasn't sure how many gems I'd gather that way. And to be honest, I always feel driven to complete things like quest chains. It's a compulsion, and I'm sure that's what they're counting on.

I am not a fan of BG except when I was completing the free section of the battle pass. It is fun for me to complete a pass. So in January I will be interested again. For now I did two BGs and not likely to do the last quest for more BG.

I mean, you're not forced to play Battlegrounds at all: since you don't care for the 1200 eXP reward, you really only need to complete a week's worth of the dailies for the three packs. The dailies can all be done in Constructed just fine.

There is still a long way to go before the event ends, so do not give up! Just use the rest of your Snowflakes reserve. I still have a little bit south of 4K left to convert into Snowballs, but just like last year I will not do that. I am saving most of it for the new Shop goodies.

EDIT: Hm, I actually cannot remember whether Snowflakes can be used to buy cosmetics in the Shop 🙄

Am I supposed to focus on the italicized parts? I really hope I'm not barking up the wrong tree and this is actually a mercenary or a Battlegrounds minion.

Man, I can't even show my face around this snowball fight anymore. I used to dominate this, and now I'm not even in the top 4. Guess I'm past my prime.

  • How do u craft cards

How do you craft cards?? It wont let me if i dont own one copy already. I want shattering blast but it wont let me craft it.

Also, make sure you understand how set rotations work. Shattering Blast rotates to wild in April, so unless you play wild, this may not be the best investment of dust. Since you're talking about crafting a rare card, I'm guessing you don't have much dust. Your collection, your call though.

  • Is There Any Reason Not To Play Silver Surfer Right Now?

Honestly i don't get what you're so upset about. I'm winning a lot with a deck of mostly pool 1 and some pool 2 cards. I believe i have only one pool 3 card which i bought with 1000 tokens (yet EVERYONE could've done the same).  Yea, there are some decks that can wreck me if they get lucky (like discard with Hella and Death). So?! If they didn't discard Hella by turn 6, i'm very likely to just concede instead of losing 4 cubes.

Why is it so hard to understand that a deck's viability is not given by the pool of the cards? Play whatever deck you like and i assure you there is at least one location that will make you lose.

Similarly, why care so much about losing 1 cube when you can win 4 or 8?! It's a learning process - learn when to concede, when to press on, when to snap on turn 4 or earlier etc.

My deck is an all-rounder with disruption. Elektra for that stupid sun spot, and so on. And guess what? - if they played sun spot before, and nothing on turn 5, guess what's coming down on turn 6?! - exactly - The Infinite. Do i have a way to win with that on the board? If yes, snap him; if not, concede.

Sure, there are some decks that can outperform or are a bit over the top (eg: that Hella deck), but they can get screwed by locations, by their own playstyle (eg: discarding Hella), or by their own stupidity (eg: why not play a 16 power Apocalypse and definitely win the second location and the game, instead of Chavez?!).

Sorry, but these complaints are getting annoying. The most randomness in this game is from the locations, but at the same time they make you think more about how to win. Can't win? Concede. Sure, some people believe the game is dull because it's too same-y and the decks are too thin - but this is a big plus. Want solitaire - go to HS. Here you need to adapt every game. What's wrong with that?! Too much thinking is bad?

Learning when to concede is also an adaptation. Another one would be: "do i play doctor doom or hulk, on 6? Do i also have blue marvel in play? What location is the opponent actively ignoring? Who wins me the game? Am i depending too much on the turn 6 play when the power differential is kind of bad?"

I don't play Battlegrounds anymore, but it's free, so I don't see any reason to complain about them showing up as event rewards. You still get three packs for Standard. It's not as if they would instead be Hero portraits for Standard/Wild - this event just might not happen in that case.

I don't play Battlegrounds either, and I object to being forced to play it to earn these rewards. Yesterday, I literally just cued up 2 games in a row and did something else while waiting to die. Waste of time I could have been playing a game mode I actually enjoy.

That's a fine point worth reiterating. I wrote "cards" for that very reason, but didn't really elaborate on the quest text potentially misleading people (maybe the devs fixed it in time through their data-only patch?). Definitely the best tip with Arcane Bolts!

  • [Updated] Hearthstone's Winter Veil 2022 Holiday Event - Free Packs, Lore, and the Tinker Town Battlegrounds Hero Skins

Even though the event daily reads, "Play 10 minions with Manathirst," the spell Arcane Bolt still gave me credit (definitely the fastest deck to complete this one).

  • [Updated] Hearthstone's Winter Veil 2022 Holiday Event - Free Packs, Lore, and the Tinker Town Battlegrounds Hero Skins

I'm guessing it's just a coincidence of two major events lining up this way, with the Death Knight releasing so close to Christmas/Winter Veil.

Huh, are events going to be a bi-weekly thing?

  • Is There Any Reason Not To Play Silver Surfer Right Now?

One of the things I liked about LOR is that there weren't any "best decks"

You could take a Swain deck that was powerful in vanilla LOR since the games launch, give it a numbers tweak during a patch and just go right back to winning with boat 3 years later.

But in snap it is a numbers game.

If you can play a card like brood and tripple or double buff it with the likes of patriot and silver surfer.

It's like gg good job you build the most vanilla of all decks that synergies with the most vanilla of all cards and you won by putting out the biggest numbers...gg go next? You win?

Ideally in card games people like to build "archetypes" not "anti archetypes" and when the anti-archetypes get better than the archetypes as your reward for spending money or grinding the game since day 1.

Like good for you I guess? Just not sure that's for me, like maybe if you want to get to infinite but if you're beating up free to play players in Plat that's just sad.

Once again we are running into the greedy pool 3 problem, every now and then you will face these decks you dont have the tools to deal with so Ben Brode can get your money.

This is why I hated hearthstone and I hate to see it here in snap too.
