The only "wasted" time is time you spend doing something you didn't enjoy - so if you had fun then I use my universal karma to declare this a good use of time!
I disagree. Lots of people "enjoy" doing things that are bad for them. Just because you like something doesn't mean it's good.
Maybe not the one you omitted, but "earths" is a word both for multiples of earth the planet (i.e. Crisis on Infinite Earths) and for a collection of various types of earth (soil, rock, etc - the same way fishes is the correct plural for talking about multiple species of fish in one group).
YES you win! Wow +1 AND universal karma!
Today is really your lucky day my friend :P
The fact I came up with this list shows how exciting my life really is lol

While there are definitely cards that are too strong, I find that this I part of the charm of a CCG and I hope the devs don't overdo it with nerfs or every deck will end up looking bland and samey. It's fine if the first set only has 3-5 top tier decks. With more cards out when the second set is releasedt, they will have room to tweak and add more answers to problematic cards.
On Tuesday I started playing Ranked and based on the cards I have right now I settled on a Freljord-Ionia deck and I love it. Deny will need a tweak (most likely target spells that cost 5-6 or less, instead of an increased cost) but the deck performs fairly well against aggro. To be honest, I haven't encountered many aggro decks and I have been playing obsessively in the last 4 days. Perhaps they dominate the higher ranking, but on iron/bronze most decks I play against are mid-late focused. I have been trying to use a Draven deck, but I just can't figure out how to make it work efficiently.
Of the elusive cards, I think the most problematic is The Empyrean, as it is very difficult to remove, especially in a deck with Deny and Frostbite. The others, when not buffed, are destroyed by challengers, Culling Strike, and several removals.
I believe that most new players are trying to build a deck around dealing with all the possible threats they will encounter and don't build a deck that makes use of the strengths of the factions they have chosen. Playing with a single deck for a few days, instead of swapping decks every 2-3 matches, can help you identify its weaknesses and make the necessary adjustments.
And although Ivern is listed as an Ionian he might come in the Ixtal group as well since he fits the theme and knows about the events that happened there
I'd say George is a bit of an outlier on the list. He fails really hard in the early game or in the hands of an inexperienced player, which I think tanks his winrate a lot, but he's one of the strongest heroes out there if you make sure you're as strong in the early game as you can possibly be to preserve your health. The one thing holding him back from being outright broken past the midgame is the fact Nefarian exists (though in most cases Nefarian takes almost as much of a beating in the early game as George does, cause his hero power is only good mid-late) and the fact that juggler builds have become so strong. If not for jugglers, a single tiny poisonous murloc with George's hero power can take out massive demons other players have paid dozens of HP to build up.
It’s definitely a very necessary mechanic, and encourages a tempo range that is more exciting than what we had in previous years, but does need to be used less frequently. The value Rush adds to a minion is insane. It provides classes with no spell removal a chance to take out big minions with trades and a bit of strategy. But when every deck has access to Rush minions of all shape and size then it starts to undermine the other mechanics/ strategies of the game, such as healing minions to keep them on the board longer
Maybe not the one you omitted, but "earths" is a word both for multiples of earth the planet (i.e. Crisis on Infinite Earths) and for a collection of various types of earth (soil, rock, etc - the same way fishes is the correct plural for talking about multiple species of fish in one group).

Was bored and drunk and decided to see what English words were in the word HEARTHSTONE. No anagrams or backwards, names etc just straightforward English words. Here's what I came up with, but removed one - first person to find it gets, um, I dunno, universal karma and a +1 :)

Of course possible I missed more other than the word I omitted in which case double karma!
Quote From sintiI think guys talked about this on Discord today, if you Purify Shark Chariot, it comes back anyway, since the card is restored to default status in graveyard > has its text back.
That makes sense. Although from a balancing perspective, I'd prefer it if Purify did prevent Shark Chariot from coming back.
No, i don't think rush ruined the game, but i will agree that like others before me said that rush minions are to widespread across all classes etc.
I mean there are a few very good rush minions (Restless Mummy) for example - some are decent but others are not that prevelant or at least good enough to be played.
I think it´s a good mechanic and i hope that it the Rush Mechanic will stay - but i guess some Rush Minions could be changed/nerfed.
The mana cost of rush is about 1 on average, Militia Commander being the only exception this card is obviously OP.
Good example is the Amani War Bear which has rush and taunt for a 5-7 beast body. It costs 7 mana; should yield 15 stats but its 12; add 1 for taunt, add 1 for rush and add 1 for beast tag.
That example doesn't even come close to a mana cost of 1 for Rush O.o.
5/7 statline equates to somewhere in the region of 6 mana vanilla - you're paying 1 extra mana for rush, taunt and beast. Given taunt tends towards a mana cost somewhere between 0.5-1.0 on a neutral minion (plus a beast tag, but that's usually worth very little), you're paying very little for the Rush tag itself on Amani War Bear.
On that image they have a separate crest for zaun so maybe eventually they will separate them
Honestly I struggle to understand why they conflated the regions in the first place. Each of the release regions only has four champions associated with it, after all, so unless they're trying to keep them all even over the long term - which is tremendously unlikely for the Void unless they start inventing new champions - they could easily make them separate. The only explanation I have, really (aside from the evenly-numbered thing) is that they really struggled to translate champions into cards and so went with their four best designs
Been having some fun playing Waxmancy. Lose almost every time against Pogos, but real decent chance against any other deck. Actually come close to beating one Pogo Rogue. Discovered Flik on turn 4, but unfortunately, opponent had lethal on the board and I was out of Mana. If only it came a turn sooner. Lol
I think too many of such effect is bad for the game since then you can easily get card advantage.. with elise it was ONE card here we have 3 cards that do that, think it's too much for the game, and makes them auto include in any value deck, specially the one that costs 1 mana..
Now design problems of the other cards:
Sarge- stealth and card draw of cards that didn't start in your deck is the rogue identity! besides it's useless outside of specifically packs.. or Dire Frenzy.
Burpo- I like it, very flavorful.
Alonsus- seems alright actually, goes well with shuffling cards into your deck something another archbishop did before.. maybe costs too little?
Russel- I don't like it, it gives you VERY powerful cards specially if Leeroy Jenkins gets HOFed now..
Malto- it's really really slow so if you OTK someone with it because you opened 2 packs.. so be it.. this card is VERY bad outside of a combo finisher, you need 2 discounts for this to be good. suggestion: have him have better stats around.. 4 hp is much better.
Pack slamming urk- I think he is underpowered, too useless without the packs.
Big lou- probably on point.. since discover only works in your class and neutrals this card is actually fine.
Velaris- I really like the design of this card.
Elise- has too low stats.. also is very P2W in terms of what it draws.
I mean the fact that you die first from a resolved spell before your opponent dies from your board makes sense mechanically, but thinking about it, it is a shitty mechanic in its core.
I guess this is more about the back and forth action trading, but yet another example of a loss you can sustian from a commanding lead on the board. I dont know if i like this.
Well, There is also Absorb Soul as a fast spell for example. You can always heal yourself before/after those fast spells :)
I mean mechanic isn't shitty at the first place in my opinion. There are just so less cards to counter those plays right now. These are personal preferances in the end. :)

Aggro a bit too efficient
