Then you are a god and I humbly bow before your feat.
I don't know anything, but my personal theory: they will reset the roads either every expansion or every season. I say that because they've stated somewhere (can't find exact quote right now) something like "for each expansion, we want active players to get ~75% of the collection without spending money" and the only way I can see that happening is if you get new roads that give cards from that particular expansion. Most players will probably get every region to Level 8 for the 1st champion capsule and then either max out their favorite region or develop-but-not-max multiple regions; a few like yourself will get every region to max and then effectively stall out until the next reset. (I actually prefer your idea of letting players still get random cards from a designated region--I just don't think they'll implement that this year.)
Thanks for the detailed feedback. I actually doubt you'd want to run more than 1 pack creation card in a deck. Even highlander decks don't need that much value, and might opt for Archivist Elysiana instead. Ava is obviously the best, but I think it'd be a nice way to force the current expansion into the spotlight, especially for underused cards in that set. Still, I might increase her mana.
Sarge: I was thinking that 'weird card draw' is a hunter identity. Rogues get good card draw, hunters get card draw with weird strings attached, like waiting a turn. But I did specifically model this card off Shaku.
Alonsus, I might increase the cost, but It needs to be competitive with something like Greater Healing Potion, 4 mana heal 12.
Russel- Hall of Fame cards are actually quite bad on average when randomly generated. Genn Greymane, Baku, all the even/odd cards, Conceal, Ice Lance, Molten Giant, Captains Parrot. I count 24 hall of fame cards with only 7 good ones: Naturalize, Iceblock, Divine Favor, Mindblast, Vannish, Sylvanas and Ragnaros. Even if some good cards like Leeroy are added, there's still a lot of mediocre or situational stuff.
Malto, not great I realize. I might go back to the drawing board entirely on this effect. It's an overly complicated Evolved Kobold.
Pack Slammin Urk- I actually think this might be OP. 8 Mana and you're probably going to deal 20+ damage to the board and Urk survives. I was considering a higher cost.
Elise: also might revist this concept and try somethign entirely new. Too similar to Velaris. As for stats, it's the stats on the original elise. So I think she should be 3/5 or 5/5 like the later two elise cards.
You gentlemen are correct; I was thinking it was 3000 but am at work so I double-checked online and found what I presume to be a stale article stating quoting 4000. XD
Are you talking about mobalytics? If it is, I've heard about removing some option like "private". Look for that option in mobalytics, probably your profile.
I think the reason aggro is so good is because, basically, everything has haste and vigilance.
I understand what you mean, and I do suspect this makes balancing aggro harder than in other games, but I don't think it's entirely fair to describe everything as having haste.
Specifically, playing an ally is a slow-speed action, so your opponent always gets a chance to respond to that play so long as they have mana to do so.
Where I think aggro manages to pull ahead is less because they get to attack immediately and more because AOE tools are few and far between, and elusive aggro decks have access to Deny. This makes it easier for aggro decks to overcommit to the board without punishment. Everyone has to play a fairly board-centric early game, and the line between midrange and control is blurrier than in other CCGs
Maybe not the one you omitted, but "earths" is a word both for multiples of earth the planet (i.e. Crisis on Infinite Earths) and for a collection of various types of earth (soil, rock, etc - the same way fishes is the correct plural for talking about multiple species of fish in one group).
YES you win! Wow +1 AND universal karma!
Today is really your lucky day my friend :P
The fact I came up with this list shows how exciting my life really is lol
The only "wasted" time is time you spend doing something you didn't enjoy - so if you had fun then I use my universal karma to declare this a good use of time!
To my belief right now, I feel they are a big part of contribution to the powercreep, as they might be important enough to stay on the same level with other high value cards (like hero cards and others).
A 2 mana 3/4 with even a Rush is acceptable nowadays, and I haven't seen anybody (and myself) whine about it. Some cards also basically holding a package of many cards in it, like hero cards, a card attached with discovery mechanic, and more. Currently with the new cards we have, they now got a lot of value as almost twice as the vanilla and old cards. Not all of rush minions are that, but very close.
So now I don't really know what Blizzard are going to do when rush mechanic becomes part of the game now, as the powercreeps demands more strong overall cards, with having high stat points or a value generators, that's my concern.
I do heard they want to avoid high powercreeps (stated when they done some recent nerfs this year, if I remember correctly), but I doubt they're going to avoid that.
Thought about it as well.. there's no way Riot doesn't have anything planned for that point it should happen approximately in 2.5/3 months where the first player will max out his regional rewards.. I guess the vault is always a progress to be made.. in league as you have all champions you can still use BE to buy new ones AND to buy cosmetics twice a year.. so even I who play since 2012 still don't have around 100K spare blue essence (league's normal currency)
Champions cost 3000. I believe it was 4000 in earlier stages of development as I have seen sites mention 4000, but I started playing 2 weeks ago, so don't quote me on this. My first expedition was a disaster. 2 trials of 0 wins. LOL. At least I got a champion I didn't have. If someone has an almost full collection, then ending an expedition with 5 wins (or even 6) is barely worth it. Of course, you also gain experience with the game and you get to play with cards you don't currently own, so there's that. Right now I am staying away from them until I become more experienced and I'll just keep hoarding tokens from the weekly vault.
Freeze Mage. Stall with your freeze spells, make sure you have Ice Block up, on turn 9 play Alexstrasza, then on turn 10 kill him with some combination of Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Fireball.
I think Riot will have events in the future similar to LoL that you can activate instead of a region to feed exp in. Maybe also with cosmetics instead of cards.
That's what I did, and got lucky on my first try. He doesn't have much in the way of removal, so I actually just played and copied my apprentices as I drew them. He killed one with a Dispatch Kodo, but the rest lived while I kept his board frozen and waited for Antonidas. Took several turns of 1-mana fireballs, but I got there. Worth noting: Kobold Barbarian does NOT attack if frozen (I thought I had seen that interaction work differently in the past, maybe mistaken).
^Title. I'm not saying I'm close to doing this at all (I've currently only gotten all of the rewards for one region) but I'm just curious. It may not be relevant right now but eventually there will probably be quite a lot of people who will have completed all of the regions and even if there will be new ones, Riot can't add regions forever. And if those people also get their vault to lvl 13 in a week, it will result in any experience earned being useless.
I think a solution could be to add continuous region rewards for after you've completed a region (or all regions), which should be less efficient in the amount of value they give for the amount of exp that is required for them. For example, let's say you've completed Demacia. If you still want to get more Demacia cards, you will continue to follow the following "reward path" which resets every time you complete it:
1000 exp for a random common -> 2000 exp for a random rare -> 3000 exp for a random epic -> 4000 exp for a random champion
I'm not saying these should be the exact amounts of required exp or the exact rewards of course, but for someone who completes their daily quest and gets the bonus exp for the first few wins every day, getting the random champion would take about 4-5 days, which I think is pretty fair. It's also up to Riot to decide whether they want to make this region specific or not (but the former would be more appreciated :p).
Another thing Riot could do is allow you to reset all regions after you've completed them, or they could add more region rewards to each region in the future.
Please let me know if you know whether anything happens after getting all region rewards, and what you think about my proposition.
Standard is slowly turning into arena because of rush i feel. With the cards turning away from comboing or board clears, and into constantly clearing the opponent's boards with cheap minions, or lackeys that constantly generate more cards. It's pretty obvious to see. In arena if you play a big minion and your opponent can't remove it you win, that's what arena has been since it's inception. And now that's all standard is, except the "One big minion" is easier and easier to come by. Is the "OBM" the fifth or sixth version of a Scion of Ruin? Is the "OBM" a big edwin that comes after the opponent has played 7 lackeys all generated off each other from the same card? Is the "OBM" a double embiggened reborn can't be targetted taunt? Is the "OBM" a Grave Runed Convincing Infiltrator that was randomly generated from priest cards that were also randomly generated? It's just so stale now.
And even worse than it being stale. It just flat out doesn't make you want to play it anymore. Net decking is so common now, that if you face a druid you know exactly what they're playing, if you face a shaman or a rogue it's netdecked lackey shit, if you face a paladin it's mech paladin. if you face a priest it's grave rune convincing infiltrator cancer, if you face a warrior one time on ladder you'll hear 50 different threads online about how blizzard hasn't deleted the class yet because their hero power is armor up. You don't want to play it any more.
It's a clever thing that they added battlegrounds to the hearthstone app, because that keeps their dwindling player numbers up because of it, but sooner or later it'll get too big to be on the same app, so they'll have to bite that bullet.
The only "wasted" time is time you spend doing something you didn't enjoy - so if you had fun then I use my universal karma to declare this a good use of time!
I disagree. Lots of people "enjoy" doing things that are bad for them. Just because you like something doesn't mean it's good.
Yes and instead of playing online card games you could be working towards getting that medical degree and curing cancer! If you aren't working yourself to death to advance your own life and the general progress of humanity 24/7 then why are you even alive?!?!
We're all going to end up dead sooner or later and the world isn't going to stop turning. So lighten up, let people enjoy the things they enjoy (assuming they're moral and ostensibly legal), and maybe together we can all just chill the fuck out once in awhile and stop hypocritically policing others' actions.
Ok, calm down, I am sorry.
I didn't mean to sound like I was judging everybody on the planet. What I meant was, things aren't good because you like them, and it is possible to waste time doing something that is 'fun'.
Just because you are going to die "eventually" doesn't mean it has to be tomorrow, and it certainly isn't an excuse to not take care of yourself.

anyone hyped for the wc3 remaster?
I played both games, and Age of Empires 2 DE might be a good choice for people who were let down by WC3:Reforged.
