  • Guess if/what Riot will give refunds for nerfed cards

Yeah I think You are both right , if the cards are still playable there's no reason to refund them.. and yes as far as I have seen any nerf kept the cards playable.. the dust refunds in HS are kinda dumb now I think about it.. if the system was much less greedy then I wouldn't be so necessary there..

  • So, how long is Deny gonna stay at 3 mana?

    Quote From FortyDust

Playing big, powerful spells MUST have an opportunity cost beyond just the mana expenditure. There MUST be an inherent risk.

Following your line of reasoning, that opportunity cost only exists when playing against an Ionia deck. I think that's a problem as it's not "inherent".

  • Guess if/what Riot will give refunds for nerfed cards

I'm with FortyDust. Maybe I just don't get the mentality of today's playerbase (in Hearhtstone, for instance), but I think expecting compensation from a developer for nerfing a card that you own is the definition of entitlement. The devs aren't maliciously stripping your hard-earned cards of their power - they're balancing the game to bring it into a better state. If nerfs are handled competently, the affected cards won't become unplayable, they'll become fairer. A developer giving out refunds/rewards for that seems asinine to me, and I think it's sad that some devs feel forced to do so in order to retain customers.

  • anyone hyped for the wc3 remaster?

    Quote From troY

I played both games, and Age of Empires 2 DE might be a good choice for people who were let down by WC3:Reforged.

But it has no fantasy setting. I would like a remake (or even a steam/something version) of battle for middle earth. Or Battle Realms. Or Armies of Exego...

  • Tables, A Way To Play Hearthstone With Your Own Rules.

    nice article.

similar to creating custom maps on WC3 (even if Blizzard owns it all now).

would be great if the rules on custom table get simplified, so when other player joins, they're not wasting any time understanding it.

such as buttons, or icons. like ♥=15, or HPower=false, or even better, a premade custom rules, for easy pick.

cards collections banning should be trimmed too, like very tiny card icons, or tags (need more tags to be useful, like gnomes, kobolds, undeads, treants, etc).

remove the rewards, since this mode is just for fun, and this mode is just a place to go when players are bored with either plays or BG (like BG F2P). And Pack Tokens / Sleeves just ruining the balance of golds. One currency is more than enough.

adding passwords to private tables, and chatting room is essential, but that's the main problem, since hearthstone don't utilize it.

and the last one will be contacting blizzard team 5 about this new modes. That's it. It'll be a good addition to Hearthstone nonetheless.

  • Hearthstone's 16.4 Update Brings a New Arena Rotation, Battlegrounds Fixes, and Animation Speed Increases

300% seems like a lot. It’s super usefull for those last second plays, especially on mobile but i hope the more complex animations don’t become weird.

But Reno the relicologist into armor smith could have been sped up by 1000% easily

  • Hearthstone's 16.4 Update Brings a New Arena Rotation, Battlegrounds Fixes, and Animation Speed Increases

I think I've seen something similar if you hover over the icons on the left, it might show your new health total, or the new total of your opponent.  But honestly I'm not much of a BG player.  Think I saw something like that once while watching a stream on Twitch.  It's another type of spoiler if I saw what I thought I saw.

Aww I loved the “spoiler” at the side :(

If you're in the middle of combat and the game already knows the outcome is you losing the fight, you'll see the Recruit "button" appear on the right side of the field. Sucks to be "spoiled" :D

  • Hearthstone's 16.4 Update Brings a New Arena Rotation, Battlegrounds Fixes, and Animation Speed Increases

Could someone please explain what this means as far as a 'Spoiler'?

Can we get a fix on the recruit/combat spoiler, which tells you if you have won or not, in battlegrounds?

Hey Dragonbane, the hunter legendary, is also an inspire effect without the keyword.

True... why use keywords when you can add extra text, right?

  • How to beat heroic Skruk?

Pogo-Hopper rogue, with double Sap and Vanish beats this most of the time. Just be prepared with Zilliax. In most cases Spirit of the Shark into Pogo-Hopper makes like a 1 mana 30 minion.

I noticed that he will trade into the pogos if he doesn't have lethal. Mostly as long as you have over 15 hp, you're well on your way to win.

I really like the idea of having a few small ways to bring Wild cards into the Standard format from time to time.  I made this as a custom card a while back.  Part of a competition on the old site that was about bringing in old mechanics like we were going to see over the course of the Year of the Dragon.  I'm actually a little upset we got no new Inspire cards during the year.  But I guess we got Phase Stalker... which is Inspire without the Keyword.

  • Before [Hearthstone Card (Pogo Hopper) Not Found] and when Patches still had Charge this was the OP deck for this Brawl.  But now... it's Pogos!

Wow. That's a really great idea for a Tavern Brawl. I know we already have a similar one with the Hall of Champions Tavern brawl but this one is much better. It emulates the feeling of fighting in a real high stakes championship tour.

This is some seriously good content. I'm really glad this article went up, because I SAW the post a week ago and thought, dang I need to read that when I have time, then I forgot. So, thanks to Shadows for highlighting this.

Now, Griff, you are a Hearthstone player after my own heart(h). Way back in the early days, my IRL friends and I used to do this sort of thing. We'd play suicide Hearthstone and make decks designed to kill your own hero before your opponent can kill theirs. We'd make stupid handicaps like you always have to play the card on the left, or you can't play anything until turn 5. We'd choose a word (like "taunt" or "random") and make a deck using only cards from that search term. The possibilities are endless! But game mechanics made it impossible to adjust things like health total, card count, etc. If Tables were implemented, I'd pretty much just play that. You'd find me there every day, hosting a custom table with some janky-ass rules for other psychos like me. Only weapons can go face! No spells allowed! Orcs vs. Humans!

    Please, Team 5, READ THIS!!!

My wife introduced me to MTG when we first started dating. Because of the fact that we didn't have money we'd share our Magic collections and play with our own rules. This is one of the MAIN reasons why I want this mode to be implemented. A mode like this can keep people playing FOREVER, and more importantly, they don't have to pay nearly as much if they don't want to and just use cards they get from their free packs.

The fun thing is with the rules you could totally do: Fatigue = Kill enemy hero, or ban all keywords except "Random" and "Taunt". There's no way there are any technical limitations that stop this mode from being a real thing.

In all reality, just keep putting the word out there and get Team 5's attention.

Every upvote and spread the word of this so someone at blizzard sees it, because this REALLY needs to happen

The only way Blizzard, Team 5, sees this is if people get behind it and spread it EVERYWHERE. Tweet it to them, post it in forums, you name it.

If anything I'd like to have a conversation with them about any of my concepts, because Hearthstone is in a good place currently, but it still has SO much potential.
