  • Some Advices for 1st Day and Week of Open Beta

    Quote From Kinxil

Shouldn't we level regions to 7 instead ? The champ reward seems to be at this level (I did get Yasuo but it was on an epic loot so dunno).

You will eventually get all regions to max (20?); its just a question of where you want to be putting your XP each day.  I think the best choice for that depends entirely on your preferred playstyle(s), how much you want to play, and what cards you open.  Almaniarra obviously is having fun playing a lot and experimenting with everything, so for him it probably is best to hit every region to ~5 because that will net him the most cards.  For context: I played last night for ~3 hours, and I only got through the Prologue and ~Level 3 on my first region.

    This card's art is amazing

  • whos good idea was it to make those puff cards

Whining about drawing being forced? And you're in a card game forum?? What am I missing here? Just make a better deck and beat it you child

  • Exhibition rewards (Optimal to retire early?)

I got 7 wins in my first trial. From everything I can find it seems like the second trial is simply a redo and your better result is counted, but has anyone come across that not being the case? (eg. Trial 1 6 wins, Trial 2 5 wins giving a higher reward than Trial 1 7 wins, Trial 2 retire). I like exhibition but would rather play constructed as I find it more fun, so I don't really want to play the second trial if it's for no benefit collection wise.

Thanks for the tips, I do have a couple questions.

Shouldn't we level regions to 7 instead ? The champ reward seems to be at this level (I did get Yasuo but it was on an epic loot so dunno).

Also, is there a way to disenchant cards or it's not permitted ? I usually focus on a narrow set of classes (here regions) but I'll be unable to do such a thing if I can't scrap the cards I'll not play :<. This can come awkward if your favorite tailored deck is nerfed (wanted to try Karma Braum first but the nerfs...).

Here we have the I have no argument against you So i'm going to type in all caps and lol at you.
Its not unbeatable but its certainly unhealthy for the game.
    1. its to easily spammable
    2. drawing is an inherent mechanic in the game that you can't stop. The puff hurts you for something that is you legitimately can't counter.
    3. they can have all the counters in the world and unless your playing a specfic deck that can run counters its even harder to beat them.
If your gonna say its a salty post atleast give an actual reason instead of LOl WRONG

writing in all caps? i wrote 28 words and only 6 were in caps. the game isnt even fully out, the meta hasnt been yet established and u already say X deck archetype is unhealthy for the game. all card games have niche win cons and all have mechanics that screws with either your board hand or deck.

i didnt need arguments cause its impossible to have one when the game aint even 24 hours old. saying u cant counter their existence in the deck is true, but with the amount of control decks there is u can heal with spells while removing threats and u can slam down big bois to mop up the end game. u probably playing something that cant deal with an early teemo. with elusive units challenger mechanic low cost 1 hit aoe removal heal etc its amazing to me that u can lose to it. but hey like i said the game is new no need to cry wolf as u are right now.

hence the conclusion that it is a salt post indeed

  • Explorer, A Custom Hearthstone Format.

I did that over at hearthpwn back in the day. I dont have as much time as I used to though

I've actually been focusing on Expeditions.

I too have found Expeditions very interesting, far more than Heartstone's Arena: the chance to modify your deck after each match (swapping cards or adding new ones) and also the more friendly "loss two consecutive games" before getting out are what I like the most about them.

But also constructed feels pretty good, mostly because almost no one can get a complete deck already thanks to the shop's limitation. Maybe next week things will be already different after everyone will open their treasure box.

You don't have to worry about a ranked meta, so it seems like a great way to flesh out the collection before trying to put together a deck for ranked play.

I guess after my third, I'll have to make the leap, though...

  • My first impressions playing LoR

    Quote From Suchti0352

    the lack of rng

Because actually winning for your own skill instead of pure luck is boring.

Sorry if I sound sarcastic, but HS has taken fun away from me long ago due to all those random things that too often decide the result of a match.

Back on topic: LoR takes pretty much all the good things that its competitors have already "tested" in recent years and copy them brilliantly, with also adding a smooth interface and clean visual. The funny cosmetics are just a plus that should keep the economy of the game F2P-friendly instead (since the game doesn't need to sell packs to sustain itself).

  • LoR Friend Request List

Do we know the maximum number of friends?

  • whos good idea was it to make those puff cards

Puffcaps Teemo decks are mostly on the meme side of the game, they're not even near competitive unless their opponent play terribly or get horrible draws. I've yet to see a decent deck that revolves around that.

And I too I'm looking to build mine puffcaps, because afterall is a fun concept to tool around. But, again, not for ranked.

  • Explain Nexus Damage PLZ

Elusive allies are a good way to damage the nexus directly.

This may be a silly question, but did you play the tutorials? It might be a good idea to revisit the ones that deal with concepts you are still struggling with.

  • whos good idea was it to make those puff cards

Puffcaps are actually awesome and an interesting part of the game. They make it less likely that slow decks will have answers for literally everything. THAT would be unhealthy.

The counterplay is to win before you die from mushrooms, and to prioritize mushroom generators with your removal. If your slow deck doesn't have enough removal, you are probably going to lose to this and a lot of other decks.

If you are aggro, you are going to kill them fast anyway.

If you are a slower deck, the tech is healing and cheap removal, and the strategy is to play as aggressively as possible.

  • New Priest Minion - Aeon Reaver

This is a bad Flik Skyshiv with a Dragon-tag.

  • Legends of Runeterra - Beta Patch Card Buffs, Card Nerfs, Social Features, & More

If that's the case, I guess maybe the streamer either changed his mind on his own, or he stopped because he assumed it wouldn't work (but it actually would). Oh well, it was a month ago, and I don't even remember which deck he was playing.

One thing is certain: This game needs a Advanced Rules wiki like they have for Hearthstone!

  • Anybody else sick of reno mage in wild?

You could try and run the new anti-Battlecry tech card: that makes Reno unavailable for a full turn.

So the game aint even available to all as yesterday was early day access and we already have the first salt post. AND ITS ABOUT A MEME DECK!

  • My first impressions playing LoR

    Quote From Bystekhilcar

I mean, that's not so much an opinion as a value judgment as to the amount being taken from any given game; it's based on objective facts, after all. And for the record, I would argue it's incorrect as a statement. T

Point well taken.  I think my mistake was using the term "copycat" as that undoubtedly creates a sense of negativity.  I understand that almost any card game created at this point will bear some resemblance to one or more of the card games that preceded it.  However, while my opinion may be factually incorrect, it is still my opinion and I stand by it.  For all we know, I might be the only person who played the game and felt like 'been there, done that'.  Once again, this may not be the game for me; but hopefully there are many people who play it and enjoy it.

  • My first impressions playing LoR

You can't be that original when there are around other 20 competitors or so in the market.. what Riot knows how to do is to take feedback really well.. so if people complain nonestop about something (like more deck slots.. or auto squelch or more F2P friendly system) it won't take them forever to implement which is a huge plus, also the game is encouraging competitiveness and skill, with very little rng which I find it a huge plus from HS's rng..

I am a big fan of league and this game is done really well so far been playing the whole day, and actually I quit it because I need to study :(

  • whos good idea was it to make those puff cards

Legit it makes it so an inherent thing you can't stop kills you. This is not okay it should never have been made. its good to see some of the league balance team made it over to runeterra to already ruin a pretty fun game. Seriously how did it make iot past playtesting

  • New Hunter Spell - Fresh Scent

I've been having tons of fun with this card, it really breathes some new life into the old Master's Call hunter before it and Zul'jin leave standard. I have included my decklist and a guide to it in this comment. I feel it would also fit in a wild Beast hunter, where it can buff Dire Mole and Alleycat.
