The article and the set are amazing! I hope you continue creating cards and enjoying creating them, and I wish you luck with your fight against your inner demons!
Yeah, are we going to be getting a full adventure every two months in between every expansion? Are we basically going to have 6 sets a month instead of 3? Will these cards be craftable? Will they be necessary? Will the adventure still cost 700 gold per wing?
I am honestly a little worried that we might be getting too many cards dumped on us at once and F2P/Casual players won't be able to keep up unless this adventure is different from past ones.
Do you really think these nerfs are happening because someone made a bad deck and then complained about losing so much that blizzard caved? If blizzard were that easy to manipulate than things like buffs would have happened way sooner, and things like autosquelche or tournament mode would be here already.
Agreed for Kronx - it is a must have in most Galakrond's list - but also having only one Town Crier forced me to be creative. For instance, it allowed me to have one flex spot to adjust and counter ; Spellbreaker and Acidic Swamp Ooze been prime laddering companions, to only list a few.
Duplatransmogrifier replaces your minions with NEW copies of the minion, meaning that no buffs carry over (whether they are spells cast on the minion or changes made in bob's tavern). The statues will all still cost 9 Mana
There actually were 2 season's last year, though the first season was largely forgettable because there was little variance from week to week The first season was the Specialist format that ran in the early part of the summer and also no relegation took place. The second season was in the late summer/early fall leading up to Blizzcon and was in the Shield-Conquest format and was much more enjoyable to watch.
Having more spots for relegation is an awesome change! When there was only one spot at the bottom I felt like the GM players didnt really care very much cuz all they had to to was not get last.
Now, with the bottom 3 per region there is more on the line and they will have to put in a lot more effort, in-turn making it way more watchable!
I dont think I can continue to put anymore money, or effort into this game the way nerfs keep happening like this. Nothing in the current meta is broken. It seems to me that this is the process: some dweebs go all in on a deck they thought would perform well, it ends up being useless, so they cry and complain like little pansies, and Blizzard caves and nerfs the top performing decks. I don't understand the point of these nerfs.
It's no one else's fault that you crafted a garbage deck, it's no one's fault that you suck at the game, and can't find a way to counter a top tier deck. Stop ruining the game with your incessant crying, and bitching. Just get good, and dont blow all you dust right away on a trashy deck. You whiners are making this game boring as hell. Galakrond Shamen was understandable, now it's just getting ridiculous. I'm going to think long and hard if I'm going to continue to keep supporting this game, or not.
My guess is - they want to have some space, where they can change / reconsider how the current system works and whether (and how) they want to improve on it. It also conveniently lands with holidays, and it is a big holiday time for all employees... I don't know if 2 seasons is enough, but 1 season last year definitely seemed not enough.
All changes seem positive, so we can hope it's good.
Hell no. Mill needs to stay fringe, because I want to punch someone when all my cards get milled. You see it coming but sometimes you still can’t do anything
I’m finally going back to try and beat the only solo content I haven’t finished - Dalaran Heist chapter 5 heroic. I have a pretty good deck but was just offered the duplatransmogrifier.
Question: if I have a zero costed Obsidian Statue (discounted via Bobs Tavern) and use Duplatransmogrifier on it, will the other copies have the 0 cost? I don’t want to screw my run up if all other copies cost 9.
Not a lot of action in the Other Modes forum so hoping for a quick answer here.
I wonder if blitzchung's suspension had anything to do with the decision as it happens to end (quite conveniently) in early April, before the GM season. This way they were able to give that big 6 month ban, yet it didn't have any real effect to his GM status (unless he chooses to not continue).
If we go by milling in terms of hearthstone, that was just making the opponent overdraw, I think that would be fair since most ways to print cards in this vein are just cards that'd draw both cards, which is something many decks would want it would still most likely decimate control decks, but I think that creates more of a challenge in making a control deck that is able to pressure someone down instead of durdling until late game to slam a bunch of stats in play.
By this do you mean a control deck that is a midrange deck? If your control decks strategy is to play a lot of high value minions on curve throughout the game then it is no longer a control deck.
Something we want to improve upon for sure, but there is actually an "arrow" icon in various places, that lets you jump to the last post, if you click on it.
Only pinned threads dont have this right now from their respective forum section pages, but they do have them in the front page widget or Recent Threads page.

I think it's safe to say that when someone talks about "mill decks" or "mill as a strategy," they are talking about killing the opponent by running them out of cards -- milling as a win condition.
Forcing the occasional overdraw has never been controversial as far as I know.
Unfortunately, if your main complaint is that you find meta decks/netdecking is making your play boring because you find yourself playing against the same decks all the time, I have some bad news... optimization and the desire to win will dictate the best decks will be played the most frequently, so you are probably going to have this problem regardless.
I agree it can be very frustrating to see the same play goals and style often, but that is the nature of competition; if a team could score a goal every 5 minutes in a world cup match by playing a certain way, do you think they will take advantage of that? Yes, people could try new decks and play with the optimization, but seeing as the meta does that naturally, most people aren't skilled and confident enough to believe they know better than HSReplay (and, for the most part, we're right).
You could view this a bit differently though; even if you play 5 opponents all using the same deck, with the amount of RNG in HS the experience should never be exactly the same... sure, when playing a rogue you are probably going to see them attempting to use Necrium Apothecary by turn 4, but will they be able to? Can you make some plays that will make them rethink that strategy or divert them from it entirely? Maybe, maybe not, but given the vast variability in this game your play experience should often differ.
OutofCards has a great series called Meta-Breaker where the author takes the most dominant (usually) deck in the meta and tries to create a counter; maybe this is something you could explore if you want to diversify the meta? Just saying that, since you can't control what others will do, maybe you find ways to reduce your boredom with the game.
TLDR: People like to win and that won't change, so maybe find ways to enjoy that fact through diversifying your play and meta breaking?

Great job mate.
Blizzard should take your creativity as an example.

For Masters Tour? Win one of these online cups: https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/esports/programs/masters-qualifiers. Another way is to reach top 8 five times in the during the qualifying period. I also think top X ranked players will receive an invitation.
EDIT: X seems to be 16, after each ranked season.
