Shamefully enough, I do not have Shudderwock. That's why that Nozdormu is chilling there in that 9-mana slot. I cannot just add Shudderwock without testing the deck, so I had to go with what I had. Shudderwock is definitely a good one to have in there; just make sure you haven't played Alexstrasza on the opponent earlier, while you're sitting at a cool 30 health, or you might lose more than what you bargained for hehe!
I'm not a fan of the random 1500 drops (even though I've profited from them), but I would watch some of the matches before they started doing this, so from my point of view it's just gravy. I like the previous format better as well (i.e. watch x hours = receive x packs), but Blizzard is looking at numbers, and the possibility of getting something vs. a guaranteed drop wins out every time for gaining viewership.
I recently tried to defend Hearthstone as not "Play-to-Win", but the increase in the meta with Highlander decks makes the argument futile; don't get me wrong, I love playing (I particularly like the Solo Adventures), but to suggest free-to-play players will hit Legend is extremely naive. The three decks listed here are all over 11,000 dust, so people joining the game should intend to use some funds if they want to be competitive (or they can just stay sub-five ranking and enjoy the game there, like I do).
stop complaining please...all the whiners and complainers make hearthstone look bad. it's a card game where there's a winner and a loser. you're obviously the loser congrats.
Buddy, this is a discussion forum. This would be an immensely dull place if people only ever agreed with each other on how awesome the game is.
And let's not pretend that the game is (or could be) flawless and perfect in every way. There's always room to improve and this is a place for people to point out where improvements could be made.
No one is forcing you to participate if you feel that having critical faculties and voicing your complaints somehow reflects poorly on the game.
This guy is one of the most under-valued cards in the entire game! I play him in several decks and as long as you run >10 spells he can be very useful.
Also in a deck containing only legendaries, any cheap card is useful.
now some of you might have already discovered this, but for those of you who haven't
DO NOT CONCCEDE ON THE FINAL BOSSES. THEY WILL NOT RETAIN THEIR HEALTH IF YOU DO
I had to learn this the hard way when i brought one to 1 HP on Heroic, planning to finish him off later with Finley...but when i conceded he just went back to 192.
if you want to soften up a boss to finish him with a different hero....well you better kill yourself
EDIT: nvm, it's actually just f**ing bugged. It doesn't matter whether you concede or get killed (or you the Hearthstone). my boss is just stuck at 192 HP permanently now for no reason. Small indie company indeed
EDIT 2: checked the forums, it's only affecting the second plague lord and it's apparently fucked on a deeper level as it will not only forget damage taken but also sometimes create random HP numbers. Only way to beat it currently seems to be oneshotting it. Hopefully they'll hotfix it.
DON'T TRY TO PLAY CHAPTER TWO. YOU'LL WASTE YOUR TIME
I have not had this problem. I've beaten it on the 2nd try, and it's health was at the right number. And I've one shotted it.
Thanks for this! I have not done this, but it occurred to me that I might use this strategy in order to grab the win with a different hero or package.
just figured out it's a bug because he just doesn't remember at all now. I only wasted 1 hour on this only to find out that Blizzard is still unable to perform basic bugtesting
stop complaining please...all the whiners and complainers make hearthstone look bad. it's a card game where there's a winner and a loser. you're obviously the loser congrats.
Someone did a video on this at some point. I think you want to play Zephrys to as empty a board as possible, and have exactly 2 mana leftover so that he considers the Apprentice a good tempo play.
I would use Faceless Manipulator for this combo, not Prince Taldaram. That way you can run [Hearthstone Card (Time Out) Not Found], which seems like a must for this type of deck, as well as things that are already in the deck, like Salhet's Pride.
I'm using the standard secret list from hsreplay. Been playing it since end of last month when i took it from rank 4 to legend. Currently, your sand binder variant is the highest winning from 5 to legend (still only the secret list with enough games in legend) but the secret list is #2 and ahead of all the other variants of your list.
There are a ton of iterations of your list. I wish there were a ton for secret as well, but it's been the same for a month. (there was one running Subject 9)
So it's not true that secret package is just worse. Why does it seem like most people are ignoring it?
Also, can you imagine the uproar from the F2P community. I mean, they complain about literally everything anyway, but they'd need double the cards to build a deck.

DON'T TRY TO PLAY CHAPTER TWO. YOU'LL WASTE YOUR TIME
EDIT 3: As of today the issue was fixed with a patch. Everything should work fine now.
Personally, I'd prefer a flexible deck size between 30-35 cards. It has several pros, and the most important one for me is - deck optimization when homebrewing.
I would say being able to put one single big minion on the board using a two card combo should not be a big deal, since chances of having it early are not that great, and by turn 4 you should be prepared for a big minion (mountain giant anyone?). So honestly I do not understand what's the fuzz about. I think it has to do with the general strength of the shaman quest deck.
I just can't get that upset about these types of things anymore. Last format it was Giant+Conjuring. This format it's Mogu+Mutate. Before that, there was Keleseth+Shadow Step. Edwin has been around forever.
This is just part of the game. Sometimes, they're phased out naturally. Sometimes their nerfed.
The fact that most shaman decks are in the T2 range (and in part as a result of this combo) means that it bothers me even less.
Just curious. If there were to be 60 cards mode, would you play it or not? I would like to see that implemented because Hearthstone has little to offer when it comes to game formats.
I don't think it works very well for a game that has such a large contingent of mobile and mobile-only players. Part of HS's success has been it's quick and easy nature.
I think it'd be an interesting tavern brawl. But I don't think I'd want it to be the main format.
The only quest I'd say has some major potential and is being completely misused is Druid. I've built a "draw your whole deck" Jade Quest Druid and the amount of defense, removal and lategame power that deck has is insane. Never before have I had my Jades go over 20/20 in size in an actual competitive game, but with this deck, it happens all the time. Geist obviously completely annihilates the deck, so it can't get too popular, but seeing as most decks don't currently run it, Jade Druid has some serious surprise potential and can generate insane boards on the same turn it has spent 7 mana drawing (Overflow makes UI look like a joke). I think playing the deck as a token, board-flood version like it is in Standard is strictly incorrect. Being able to make your Jades 30 % bigger thanks to the Quest and having much more efficient card draw and removal in Nourish, Wrath, Raven Idol and Starfall seems to do the deck major favours and enable it to really tick.
This. I'm playing a (kind of meme) Reno-Yogg mage and went up against a quest druid yesterday. This happened (look at the size of his deck compared to mine, I'm at 7 or 8 fatigue at this point). Not sure how any control deck beats this without running Mecha'thun or DK Uther (or teching Geist.)

Russian Roulette Shudderwock!
you could put Fencing Coach in the deck and play it the turn prior to shudderwock, then every shudderwock thereafter will get double battlecry!

I completed it on Normal fine (saved remaining health both times I lost), don't think it's a universal issue.
