I'm also sure you're one of the people that cried about the missing pokemons and some of the attack animations - this game is not just for Hardcore Competetive Pokemon Players - this is mostly for Casuals and Newcomers - and therefor looks awesome! Yes there will be a small part for the competetive & core players and they will survive with some missing pokemons - but Nintendo is "feeding" not just the Core Gamers - so i think they made (almost) everything right.

Hey man, I never run out of cards usually because of a lot of card generation. Also if I feel like I'm too low on cards I try to discover card draw from Hench-clan or Vulpera, most of the time I pick three cards from togg too so empty hand isn't an issue.
I usually build a basic frame around ideas I get then ask the people for options to test..
This time it's a blank page and a challenge: build a quest hunter deck trying to get as many Queen Carnassa as possible. Minimum of 3 and you don't even have to play them all- just get a lot.

The flavor was awesome. The cards were great (Tunnel Trogg aside). Discover is an excellent mechanic.
But the adventure itself? I'm sorry but it's bad as fuck.
Heroic Slitherspear? Unbeatable without exploiting the Kel'Thuzad +Taunt glitch which seems to have been fixed. Heroic Scarvash? Unbeatable without a 2-mana Fiery War Axe. Heroic Skelesaurus? This one is bullshit in its purest state. Tyrantus on turn 1? Sure that's balanced. The worst part is that this fucker gets stronger every expansion because the cards get stronger every expansion, and the proportion of good expensive cards increased.
If you didn't beat those guys when LoE was released, you're fucked.

I'll be honest: I don't really like this "drops" thing without any certain reward like it was 4, or even 1, months ago (you get 1 pack for 3 hours and another for 6).
This way, there's a really high chance people will get nothing after watching (and by watching I really mean it, not just opening a window and doing other stuff in the meanwhile) the Tournament for several hours.
It may be my guts to be speaking, but since they disabled the guaranteed drops I've been totally avoiding the tournament scene, while before I used to watch some of the games. It kinda feels like a joke to hope for one of 1500 packs when there are other 26k guys doing the same.
Maaan, if you want that bad to buy views, do it the proper way.

There was a patch a while back that increased the odds of getting buckets you have previously picked repeated. So, yes to the OPs question. Not sure how much the bonus is, but it was noticable when they added it.
Note: Increased chance is not a guarantee of a repeat. Sometimes the RNG gods hate you.

Yeah, if we consider Rastakhan's Midrange Hunter, the only epics and legendaries are 2 Master's Call and Deathstalker Rexxar: I mean ok, they're pretty dang good cards, but I'm sure there are 3 more aggro-oriented commons/rares in Wild that can easily fill up the hole (maybe Leeroy Jenkins + double Quick Shot?)

After testing the vault quest I realised it's not as exciting as paying a 5 mana 8/8 and seeing the raptors rush to your deck.
