If I want to have fun (which is most of the time) then I will try out decks that are so far beyond the Meta that you would need a telescope to see them. Eventually I can usually refine them so that they win slightly more than they lose. They rarely, however, are good enough to climb the ladder. But if I've reached a Rank where I can't drop any lower, like say Rank 10 or 5, then it's bombs away!
Thanks for the addition of murloc shaman to the Mets report! I personally don't think the Nightmare Amalgam is a good choice for the deck, as it is just a murloc with average stats, without any special abilities. I have added Swampqueen Hagatha to the deck instead, as it offers a good, flexible late game win condition, be it an additional Bloodlust and [Hearthstone Card (Lava Bursy) Not Found], Rain of Toads or Soul of the Murloc.
Firstly let me say I've played 0 priest games this expac, and I don't even have Amet.
But if IF or DS get HOF'd Priest has no win condition in standard. With the removal of Mind Blast, you have to give the class something. Perhaps some actual Dragons in Year of the Dragon to enable Dragon Priest next expac?
Once you get to the point of duplicating and playing Chef Nomi (which usually takes two turns each time) you are taking so much fatigue damage you cannot survive to play all the Chef Nomi you created.
More or less yes - i also tried different Cards like for example i tried using Batterhead and only one Mosh Ogg
Not the fastest deck to climb the ladder but still possible - sure with all the Aggro decks that are around right now it´s not the easiest deck to play but still doing decent.
Catrina Muerte is a pretty strong card in this Deck because she gives you at least one Rezz - but if you're tight on dust i guess you could sub her for something else like
I absolutely like (0) secrets for Rogues, it fits the class so much!
However, i think some of them are too powerful for such a cost. I still love the concept of what they do. It's really Rogue-like.
I also like the idea of Warlock secrets, although i'd prefer them to be themed only around Ghosts, Imps or Dreadlords, not other Demons or effects.
As for Warrior, i think they should have no Secrets at all, as Secrets are not just an automatic reaction, but also something that is prepared, an ace up your sleeves. Warriors are not subtle enough to fit that concept (even Paladins are marginally so but one could argue the ways of the Light are subtle, but Warriors are not at all).
Sure, while it never occured that way in GM, Quest Druid is actually favored on paper, with Chef Nomi being duplicated to no end with Flobbidinous Floop and Elise the Enlightened. Once you force the warrior to use all his mass removal, you'd be surprised (or not) how 7 6/6 creatures on the board get rid of armor.
Again, that works on paper, somehow nearly all warrior/Quest Druid matches ended in the warrior's favor, since people just ran extra mass removal to combat that exactly (Viper actually ran Deathwing and won a game beause of it)
Love what MurlocAggroB suggested, you could really play around with that. Shamans could have relatively strong secrets; with the drawback of overload - if you know what they're going to play, you can choose to trigger the secret and lock their crystals on a pivotal turn.
Cheese, I'd like to see you make some Shaman secrets :)
It will adds unecessary complexity to the game. New HPs, as already discussed on several other topics, will be a nightmare to balance while cards that may have different effect based on something else are pretty point less per se.
The flavor of each class is pretty well rapresented by most of the Basic set.
Quote: Control Warrior (...) is kept in check by Highlander Hunter and Quest Druid.
I play neither Control Warrior nor Quest Druid, so I have no clue how the two classes interact. I feel like Druid has limited resources (nothing that big taunts or brawl/removal spells can't handle) to inflict any damage against the high armor generation of Warrior. Can anyone elaborate on this?
Honestly, I have not seen that much Aggro in Wild Ranked last season between 20 and 10. I usually only encounter Aggro in Wild Casual. Granted, hand size could be an issue if you draw extremely badly (which I tend to do). Should be manageable, though. Sure, soe games your hand will just be clogged, but that's exactely why this deck is labelled "just for fun".

do you guys sometimes play a worse version of a deck, just to fit the theme?
nope, never.

Almost always :) :)
I mostly build decks around Themes and Tribes and sometimes they work but most of the time not so much :) :)
Only exception is if i want to ladder up :)

Maybe she's just saying something in Kobold? although "GLEN BECK!" did tickle me.
Also, what does Sludge Belcher say? that really used to bug me.
