  • Making Mummies

Quest I'd quite like to play around with.

  • Does anyone else feel like the Meta has gotten worse?

Well I did it, I found a deck that has me enjoying the game again.

I put it together and posted it, thanks for everyone not encouraging me to quit for the day lol

  • Brawl Block: Gods, Gadgetzan, Gurubashi

Was tricky for new f2p peeps :)

  • Showdown at Blackrock Mountain

    Want a coke? :P

  • The Burndown!

    same

  • [wild] Unseal my Vault uwu (new quest hunter)

I love it. I'm also stealing the name for mine, not sorry. <3

  • Favorite Old God?

N'Zoth is surely the strongest (Y'Shaarj is strong only with Big Priest's shell, it doesn't count and it's not a build around card), but the funnier is Yogg Saron.

Obviously the best is C'thun with his quotes.

  • To Craft, or not to Craft...

    Quote From sinti

Why do you want to force yourself into playing Hunter, when you dont like the class? What is the point of golden Hero, if you are not going to play with it afterwards? Better spend your dust and energy on class you do like to play, so you can enjoy the game ;-)

Btw as Shadows said, warror quest is not very good right now.

Honestly, it's just something I want to do. Having all the heroes in gold sounds like a fun goal

  • Lol.

The sad truth is i didn't find a consistent solution that could fit my Tempo/Midrange style.

Another deck that abuses non-board game threatens to warp the Wild meta...

  • Rock, Paper, Scissors - SMOrcy Dorks, Holy Leisure, and Quintessential Moonfare

So is no one going to talk about how God **** ****ing stupid Quest Paladin is? We don't like infinite decks but here is an infinite amount of undying mechs that keep their buffs, and when you run out use endless army. **** THAT

  • Favorite Old God?

Still playing N'Zoth, the Corruptor for every possible class. Found his battlecry very powerful one you play it.

  • Secret Mage is currently ravaging the Wild meta. So I decided to join the train...

  • I Like Big (hand) Buffs (and I cannot lie)

I've removed the mulligan guide, and will update in a bit. I somehow didn't save the last round of changes, swapping Grimestreet Enforcers with Arena Fanatics, which explains that error.

I would expect Keleseth would break the draws, as I remember playing a Renounce lock at one point who managed to end up with a Spirit of the Frog, and that drew spells at their renounce discounted costs. I would imagine it would work the same, but I could test it. However, I can't think of a decent replacement for Sandwasp Queen that would fit nicely into the curve. Any suggestions?

  • Handbuff Paladin - Feedback appreciated

Thanks for the feedback, I've currently made the following changes:

Previously made (accidentally posted an old decklist)

    - 2 x Grimestreet Enforcer

    + 2 x Arena Fanatic

    New Changes

    - 1 x Fight Promoter - 1 x Spiritsinger Umbra - 2 x Bronze Herald

    + 2 x Magic Carpet + 2 x Ravencaller

    In response to points raised:

Mountain Giant: While this deck is more than capable of getting a giant out on turn 4, the after-effects of Conjurer's Calling means most decks can deal with it. Also, it neither buffs cards in hand, or adds cards to hand, so weakens the deck strategy.

Spiritsinger Umbra: Yeah, I pulled this, she was only there to aid Sally, and get more taunts from the Goblin. In the end, she wasn't good enough and got cut.

Fight Promoter: I've dropped to a one of for now. I've noticed an occasional draw issue since though, so I may drop Sally and put a second back in.

Barista Lynchen: Against Control decks, the best chance of winning is taking an opening, and hitting with a massive Leeroy. Barista can aid in this, and you can get away with a turn 10 Glowstone + Barista against most control decks.

Subdue: Every spell weakens the strategy of the deck, so has to be essential. With the magic carpet addition, big threats can be dealt with by Brazen Zealot + Carpet with a small board flood.

Magic Carpet: I severely underestimated this card. It works so well with this deck. Good shout, thank you.

Infested Goblin: Originally I ran Drygulch too, but between the weak original body, and the tokens needing buffs to make them remotely useful, Aggro destroyed me. Goblin gives you three taunts to stabilise against Aggro, and can also protect stuff like Zealots, which can run away with things if not dealt with.

General Lifesteal minions: I have considered Chillblade Champion, but I doubt I'd removed Blessed Champion, just because that Leeroy/Champion combo has proved such an effective finisher, regularly finishing off from 20+. While Leeroy + Chillblade can do the same, it means drawing both, and buffing them, rather than just pulling Leeroy. I'll keep it in mind though.

Loot Hoarder: If I hadn't added Carpets, I may have made this change. However, with Carpets, this becomes a 2/2 draw 1 rush, which is nice. Loot Hoarder would lose out on the rush.

Fight Promoter: She does indeed trigger off herself. I was using acolytes in an early variant of this, but between generally having a large hand, it become a liability for burning cards. I'd rather be able to control draws as much as possible.

Righteous Protector: Again, a possibility, but Zealot becomes that much better with the addition of Carpets, and can cause panicked use of removal if played on turn one against non-ping classes.

Sunkeeper Tarim: Not really thought of him. I'll keep it in mind for future changes.

Dragon Speaker: Heralds are removed, so this becomes a non-issue.

  • Lich King vs Mech Warrior (use Platebreaker!)

Well here is proof with this deck on my NA run to get Arthas.

Used 2 Stonehill Defender and only 1 faceless.  3rd try.

  • The Pepper Thread - Share Some Good Vibes!

Some of you may know, that I reached legend in wild, so I've decided to goof around either with my Thief Priest there or with Whizbang the Wonderful in standard. I don't want to brag, but after playing some games with the latter card, I've managed to reach rank 3 (starting from rank 5):

So I guess Whizbang offers viable decks after all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Do you like the way "story" is created for hearthstone?

Even though the 'story' in Hearthstone isn't all that impressive, I love the fun and goofyness of it. There are already so many games, movies and tv shows with deep and serious stories, and while I can be a sucker for those, I like that for a bit of contrast I can kinda turn my brain off when it comes to the story aspect of Hearthstone and just enjoy the sillyness of it. I really like what they've done in the year of the dragon so far since they gave a lot of cards and characters we knew and loved more personality while still keeping it fun and simple.

  • Favorite Old God?

C'Thun is the one with the most interesting and fun mechanics, but I really loved to play N'Zoth, the Corruptor into a Deathrattle Reno Priest.

I presonally hate Yogg-Saron, Hope's End: the game has already too much RNG and a deus ex machina that can turn the table just with luck just seems wrong under any point of view.

  • Meme of the Week #3: 15,000 Hero Powers in the Wind

    Quote From Noxious

I thought of Shadowreaper Anduin, but ultimately decided to not include him for two reasons:

    • Dragons are decently mid-high cost, so triggering the repeatable Hero Power would not happen as often as I would like for it to pay off
    • The card itself is rather high-cost, so it would limit the amount of other plays one could do in the same turn

I instead opted for two Shadowforms as their cost is lower, they can upgrade to three damage, and you can swap to it twice in one game! Makes for a much more versatile experience knowing you can Shadowform in a tight spot, hit Sir Finley and drop some Armor on Anduin, and still have the option to switch to Shadowform later in the game, when you're in a safer position.

That said, I'm sure the Shadowreaper would still be a decent addition! If you don't have two Shadowforms, swap one out with the hero card!

Good remarks. Actually looking a second time to the list there are already a lot of one offs. I would turn it into a highlander deck,  include raza (all the hero powers for one mana!) add reno and spawn of shadows (Reno for heal; SoS for burst damage to your opponent)

At that time it's starting to actually look like my highlander priest in wild (using dragons) in which I added oblisk for the memes.

  • Here's some art, make a card! [Legacy Game]

Next up, a Priest quest with some sort of Shadow Word-themed reward.

  • Lord Godfrey

I miss when control warlock was a thing, but I don't miss cubelock or walls of Voidlords

  • Meme of the Week #3: 15,000 Hero Powers in the Wind

Great, I'll be waiting for this one! :). Hmm... thought about some memes revolve around discover mechanic and/or inspire and deathrattle, all in highlander decks (love this one the most). Have nothing specific in mind, but those are keywords that should be generate some fair amount of fun ;).

  • Do you like the way "story" is created for hearthstone?

    Quote From sinti

I do like that they make their own story and introduce new lore characters, if it would be just a copy of WOW, i think that would be rather boring. Dont get me wrong, incorporating WOW lore is great and has been done several times with great success, but do your own thing as well.

One thing i am a bit worried about is that some stories might be too "basic", for lack of better word. Year of the Dragon seems quite good so far tho, i just hope that the climax in the 3rd expansion wont be something totally predictable and boringly disappointing. If they do it right this year, i think they set themselves on a great path going forward.

Very true - i kinda like that they do their own thing and not just WoW Lore - like you said it would be boring to see the same story you saw playing WoW - so i like it very much that they bring in New Characters and Storylines.

Well i sure hope too that the 3rd Expansion is gonna surprise us even more but i guess at least some little things are predictable - but we will have to wait and see!

  • Does anyone else feel like the Meta has gotten worse?

No i do not think so  - so far the meta ( at least for me) seems pretty diverse. Sure there are some decks i see more often than other but other than that i like this meta!

Mage is almost completely gone - haven't met a single one since the Nerfs - The Warriors i face are mostly aggro - some Control but not a lot.

Quest Shaman has been more present than before but still i meet more Murloc Shamans than Quest - and lots of different other decks - even less Hunter, don't know why but the class i face the most right now are Shaman and Rogue.

  • Favorite Old God?

I realy loved C'Thun and had a lot of fun with different C Thun Decks but i also liked Yogg-Saron, Hope's End very much - sure he could betray you and give you lots of shitty spells etc but it was hell of fun.

I also kinda like Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound because i played a lot of Big Priest in Standard (People can hate me now , i do not care :) )

But C'Thun und Yogg are defenitely way more fun!
