The Burndown!
Ragnaros is looking for the strongest deck! Take control of a random deck, if you lose, you'll get a copy of your opponent's deck! How long can your deck survive THE BURNDOWN!?
Trivia
- This brawl was a part of the 2019 Fire Festival (Fire FEST-E.V.I.L.).
- The first time this brawl was available, it rewarded a Saviors of Uldum card pack.
How it Works
- Queue up into Tavern Brawl and be given a deck created by an algorithm to get spells and minions based on a theme and mana curve.
- Each deck is given a different number in addition to its theme. The more a deck wins, the more it will spread!
- If you win your match, you'll keep your deck for the next brawl. Your score is recorded with that deck and displayed to your opponent at the end of the game.
- If you lose your match, you'll be given your opponent's deck for the next brawl.

Fun brawl
Mercenaries 280 did it for me
same
As soon as they told us what this brawl was going to be for the Fire Fest-EVIL week 3 I thought it sounded fun, but could end up just being one or two decks and nothing else. Judging by the comments I'm seeing that is exactly what happened!
Mercenaries 14 in EU and 280 in NA turns out 4 patches is preeety good
I felt cursed to be playing Merc 280 for the rest of my days. Winning game after game, inflicting my curse on others, unable to die. But sweet release finally came in the form of Taunt 593. I don't know if it was a fluke, but Taunt 593 is my new master, and I will play it until I cry, bleed, or die.
Aaaaaaand I just lost my very next game to Merc 280.
Getting tired of Mercenaries 280.
I hope that Blizzard will share some interesting data with us!
Silver Paladin and Mercenaries Warrior are dominating this brawl - after a few games you don't see any other decks
Just keep surrendering until you get a high win count deck. Easy Brawl with an 80win Small Army Paladin
Just finished 5 games with a Mage deck call Inspired 663 before being stopped by Small Army(3Digits) Paladin.
Fun and refreshing format, cool concept. Good Brawl!
This Brawl is a really cool concept and very addicting. Mercenaries 280 putting up some big numbers at the moment. 2 Ship's Cannon and 4 Patches. It has a few things going for it, but is otherwise janky. Except for 2 Ship's Cannon and 4 Patches.
Did everyone's deck converged to Mercenaries 14? 🤣
I had Iron and Steel 677 until I got highrolled by Mercenaries 14 after facing it 4 times in a row
For me it is Mercenaries 280, all day, every day.
Well, seems that I'm stuck forever on one deck. Too bad, maybe adding an option to reset the deck would help, since it was fun for me at the beginning. Now it's just a gold farm.
It reminded me of yugioh, where winner took the opponent's card. If you could tweak your deck after winning in similar way (discover or something), it would be awesome. Just an idea!
First game: Rogue (me) vs. Mage, lost because of disconnect. Came in to see a board of elementals and my wide board gone. Mostly thieving rogue stuff and a mage with some elemental and unit copying synergies.
Second game: Mage vs. some sort of spell shaman. Dude gave up after Pocket Galaxy allowed me to put up several big minions.
Don't think I'll continue.
/we could use more single player or co-op brawls
How they made the decks:
you know the dalaran heist bucket system? each new player gets one of around 300 decks generated from each class choosing buckets probably they use the same groups as in dalaran heist, the bucket choosing seem to be in trios.. as in one deck I had 1 dragon and 2 dragon activators but nothing else as far as I seen, also I saw the deck had the "legendaries" bucket twice I played around 6 games with that paladin deck..
so the deck are synergistic because they pull from synergistic buckets..
now this brawl more than any other brawl ever is a HUGE statistic data dump for blizzard I mean.. with millions of games that will be played in this tavern brawl blizzard can gather tonnes of data about some strategies, look at weak cards to buff, strong cards to nerf, look for synergies that were never tried before specially after a week or so when the decks self refine themselves to thousands of wins.
The first game I played was extremely slow. The second game was much better, since I lost the first game I got to play with my opponents deck. I did my best to remember what was in the deck and tried to put together a plan for the deck during the first game because I could tell I was about to lose. So since I already knew what was in the deck and had an idea about how it was going to play out, I used that to my advantage during the second brawl. The homework I did paid off, I won the second brawl. I was playing with a paladin zoo deck.
