Oh, not sure if this Khun character is an actual dude in WoW or something, but I kinda dislike the name because of how similar it sounds to Kun the Forgotten King.
I will say, designing the new legendary for my Screams of the Old Gods was the hardest part and I still don't really like what I ended up at. A Neutral Legendary needs a lot of versatility, especially if you want to give it away for free and for it to be exciting. Snip-Snap and Vargoth were successes, I think. Marin the Fox? Not so much.
Is Rain of Toads really that bad of a card? I know that most of my decks aren’t that great, but for that card I’ve never really felt like it was too weak
Rain of Toads is fine as it is, it is played in Big Shama decks right now.
Vargoth is a good point to consider. It was the best legendary of the set, it fits into so many different decks, but it does require some forethought in the deck building phase. Your deck needs low cost spells that are meaningful when duplicated, not every deck needs vargoth. It was great they offered him for free, since he is so ubiquitous. I think giving Zilliax for free would have been a similar good move, since nearly every crafted him anyway.
Khun as you've got him, just goes in nearly any deck, excluding really niche stuff like Big Priest and Spell Hunter. Vargoth required other cards to be useful, Khun is just good on his own. I remember how often decks were running Patches, just as a deck thinning tactic, this does something similar, not deck thinning but increasing draw consistency. Think of how many decks just pass on turn 1. Now they'd all play Khun instead.
Aside from balance concerns, its just not very exciting. I can imagine game after game, "Oh, there's Khun again". Snip-Snap is a powerful card, but it doesn't go in everything, and it gets used differently. Aggro mech decks use him to deal with card draw problems as they reach turn 6 and 9 and often don't have enough cards to spend all their mana. Control decks use him for creating big sticky minions that are flexible, go wide or go big. In wild, there are entire infinite snip-snap combo decks too, in multiple classes. The variety is exciting. Khun will just make every game start the exact same way: I play Khun, you play Khun and they kill each other.
... 3 weeks from today. Probably about 10:00 AM PST (as usual) I checked the graphic about 8:30 this morning and again at 10:30. At 10:30 it said 3 weeks.
So, it looks like September 27 at 10:00 AM.
I bet we get an announcement today. Just speculation but it would seem right.
Regardless of keeping him, isn’t there still a chance of me opening a normal one as I only have the golden copy not the normal one? I
It sounds like you are a new player based on your join date and the few legendaries you own. There is a rule called the 'No Legendary Duplicate Rule'. You will not open duplicates of Legendaries in a set until you own all the Legendaries in that set. The game does not distinguish whether the legendaries are golden or not but only if you own it or not. If you do dust Finley, he will go back into the pool of legendary cards you can potentially open when you get your next legendary. I'm not sure if this site has a new players guide but you might look for it on the forums.
I would keep Sir Finley for now. I would not dust him for 1600 dust only to craft another legendary. I think that is bad value. However dusting him for 4 epics that are meta and will be around for awhile is a different story. About 7 months from now Witchwood, Boomsday, and R. Rumble will leave standard. Some of those cards are still good, but I would 'bite the bullet' and try to craft from the 2 newest expansions first as those cards will be around longer assuming you are FTP and are interested in sticking with the game long term.
I added the Siamat today because that last open slot could be basically anything. I've seen a bunch of people playing something else there. Siamat is kind of like a 3rd copy of Oasis Surger. Or on an empty field with windfury becomes very scary with Cenarius
I dust every golden unless it's something that I know I'm going to use that same dust to recraft anyway. For example, I have a golden Zilliax I've never dusted because I need Zilliax.
I dusted 3 legendaries and all my extra arms and conj. calling copies. I might craft Dr. Boom again I think he will still be useful in taunt warrior but I am going to wait and see how the meta shakes out. Might craft Barnes again because I don't think the nerf did enough to neuter his usefulness and many of the decks that play him can live with him one turn later.
Not sure what else to craft with the rest of the dust though.
OP, I wouldn't suggest crafting Brightwing if you have a fuller collection, as you are bound to open it soon from a classic pack through tavern brawls and whatnot. This is due to the no duplicate rule!
I don't believe it will ever get nerfed since it hasn't proven to be OP, its stats are vanilla, its effect was already introduced in the game several times and since it requires you to play a highlander deck it's not very consistent. Baku and Genn were HoFd only because their effect was consistent from the start of the game and if they ever print a card which consistently draws Finley, which I doubt will happen, they will always nerf the card that draws before him. So if you don't plan on playing much with it and have a specific legendary in mind you would like to craft, I recommend dusting him.
No, if you have a golden version you will not get the regular one out of a pack. Which might be a reason to hang on to it if you are still opening packs from Uldum.
and again tournaments and chalenges only for wel know player/streamer they realy dont care for the rest we dont have competibe anymore but they have fucking everuthing blizzard do something for playerd that dont wanna stream or that kind of shit

Rain of Toads is fine as it is, it is played in Big Shama decks right now.
Other cards with OK power level - Halazzi, the Lynx (Quest Hunter card), Blast Wave (cool arena card), Demonbolt (token-zoolock)
Glory of the Zandalari - Custom Event
Mark of the Loa after your buff is now clearly way much better than Blessing of Kings. So this is a no-no buff for me.

Go team Pathra. She's stellar, Apxvoid is a beast and Languagehacker is my fellow Canuck with some crazy good HS skills.
Also convenient that two streamers I don't like at all were packed with someone I'm indifferent to. Gives me a nice villain to cheer against..
