It's a good cheap deck for players on a budget, but there aren't any legendaries or epics you'd want to put in this deck that aren't already in it. So it's only a budget deck in the sense that it's cheap, it's quite optimal.
I climbed to top 500 from 2kish pretty quickly with few losses. I put a second overflow over a mecharoo because I think you always want to draw it if the game goes that long. You fight for board in the early game and overwhelm them in the late game.
Depends how much you value a golden card. If they mean nothing to you then you and you don't plan to use Sir Finley then that is an easy dust. I wouldn't dust it until you have a legendary you want at that moment in case you were to open it again, but I wouldn't sit on it for no reason if there is something new you could craft and have fun with but don't have the dust for.
I think it was just the timing. It would be weird to nerf the #2 and #3 classes/decks but not the #1, albeit Pocket and Boom are a lot more "toxic" than extra arms was on the meta. They would risk having priest be super broken and/or have to turn around and nerf it anyway. I'm not sure this would have been the case because even though Priest was super strong on it's own, reno mage was super popular and it preyed on that matchup.
I think it was the easy way out. They didn't want to address the complete lack of win condition for priest by addressing divine spirit / inner fire. I have kind of mixed feelings on the nerf. Think they could have done it in a better way but the deck did need to be nerfed in one way or another, imo.

I hadn't played around with my quest for priest since getting it so I was playing the wall res priest deck yesterday and its a lot of fun and its been my go to deck for fun. You get rolled over a lot by aggro unless you get the right answers but your late game is pretty insane. If you have your late game cards I don't think anything really out values you.
I'd say quest priest is a bit more fun if you like the big 'timmy' plays where you jam insane stats onto the board but quest druid is more competitive while still being fun and unique to play. Consider which one costs you more dust and the value of the cards you'll need to craft outside these particular decks.
The only quest deck with a 50+% win rate when played was Making Mummies. At least it was a few days back when this very site did an analysis of how the quest cards were performing. Might have changed some with nerfs but... might not have!

I think one thing myself and some other players were wrong about is how the mage nerfs affected the meta. We were like "ok less mages that has to be great for warrior" but mages were the thing making other midrange and powerful late game decks unplayable because mage just scammed them with pocket galaxy. Now there are more decks with a strong late game that can give more trouble that just didn't exist in the meta before.
As for other control decks besides warrior, i've seen a few relatively high legend players playing a control shaman list that has tons of removal and healing jammed in it.

They shouldn’t have nerfed extra arms. Aggro priest was fun to play and it dint break your spirit like control warrior. Warrior makes me gnash my teeth in frustration.
I don't get the nostalgia. The only thing I can think of those misty eyed over memory lane or those wanting ego trips on getting purple worded magic pants with locally sourced jerks put in a cat herd instead of random jerks from other servers put in a cat herd by the Raid Finder.
And most of the niceties added over the course of the game were big steps up if you felt like doing a dungeon at midnight or tried to have a life. I actually came back when I learned of transmog; I didn't have to have my characters looking like clowns while raiding.
Have fun finding the people for certain Dungeon or Raid X no one wants to do in a few weeks.
/WoW guilds and accomplishments are the Internet equivalent of bowling teams and scores. Nobody will care in decade or two.

This kind of stuff is great! Having only played Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne and Hearthstone, I've been really curious about the lore surrounding a lot of the cards. The article was very informative and also well written. Bravo!
Silly Control Warrior, with maybe Mecha'thun alt win condition? (they had a lot of cycling) still couldn't beat my slightly altered Reno Dragon combo priest in brawl. Didn't help I discovered their Dr. Boom and played it one turn earlier than them (due to a Thaurassan tick), plus got a rezzed Thaurassan again from my Kazakus potion (fueling my Anduin + Spawn of Shadows burn a handful of turns later.
More control warriors should auto paste their decks into this brawl. Bring on the free wins ;)
Hope all of the vanilla hunters enjoy the return of the completely illogical dead zone in pvp. Nothing like a mage frost novaing you in place during WSG and /dancing while you can neither hit them with your melee weapon or shoot them with your bow/gun.
Good old classic bad class design.
Not to mention the return of twinks 1-2 shotting you until you finally hit level cap and are done with the garbage.

I've always found I have an affinity to Fibonacci's decks and this is no exception.
It also gives me another use for the golden Octosari I have (other than a wild Mill Warlock with Treachery)!

resurrect quest priest early game can be pretty barren and very likely dies to the exact same Rogue hand.

So I've gotten quite bored with the recent meta with the decks I had so I wanna craft something new, fun and viable.
I've come down to either Quest Wall Priest or Quest Druid, both seems really fun and quite strong after the recent nerfs.
Which one should I go with?
