It's a bad card. If you're going to include an understatted silence guy gal to answer key enemy minions you might as well have that be a minion that can silence anything, not just taunts.
Even if shieldbreaker had a fair statline, that is to say, 2/3 or 3/2, the fact that it can only silence enemy taunts is a huge detriment to the card as a tech inclusion. You might run it as a "real" card in aggro lists though if it were a river croc with potential upside, but it isn't.
I don't know if most players were hyped about this back when RR came out, but if they were, they were wrong. Shieldbreaker is no prenerf Ironbeak Owl, not even close.
I'm curious as to how you linked Shieldbreaker's card tag correctly, and made an entire topic about the card, without realizing that Shieldbreaker is female.
I'm not sure I agree that most minions you want to silence are taunts. This might change as the new meta settles in, but during RoS and before I generally saved my silences for use against stacked magnetic mechs vs Paladin/Warrior/Hunter or strong Deathrattles/buffed up minions vs most other things (i.e. Edwin VanCleef). The caveat being, sure if 1 taunt was the only thing between me and lethal then silence away, but certainly was never the primary target.
So for me the versatility to silence ANYTHING is more than worth the 1 additional mana for Ironbeak Owl (or even +2 mana for Spellbreaker that also leaves a body that might even survive a turn if i'm running a deck light on decent minions).
Well, as with all tech cards, they start appearing when the meta starts to get refined.
We're still just 1 week in the expansion. You might be right about including Shieldbreaker in Murloc Paladin and Zoolock in order to stand better chances against the most popular Control decks eg. CW.
Although it might stay an unattempted move simply because it would make little to no difference, given the immense removal and comeback arsenals of established Control decks.
That's not true that you don't make progress as a starter like @ThaMilkMan said and its 2nd post of the thread which leads people wrong way.
I was a noob at MTG and still I'm a noob. I could only play MTG: Duel of Planeswalkers 20.. games before. I have never played it physically.
I've start MTG:Arena at Closed beta and quit it after i played it 2 or 3 weeks. I have returned it 3-4 days ago and didn't like what I've done with my account so I have opened a new one.
I have completed trainings and completed Account mastery through BOT games which gave me total of 15 decks. Examples of all single colored and double colored decks and I've never opened my packs and never crafted cards with wild cards.
Those 15 starter decks are all you need at start. They teach you game, teach you how to create your decks, help you to win. Yes, You can win with those decks in play mode. I can't say it for ranked mode or traditional mode because those modes are not for noobs.
If you are a noob like me and know that you are a noob, you should know that Traditional mode and ranked mode is not for you. That's simple. You can't compare it with Hearthstone because All of blizzard's games are same - Easy to learn.
All you need to do is as a starters, Learn all the cards with playing your "Starter decks". Don't ever spend neither your gold nor Wildcards. Starter decks are really enough at start.
Btw, I'm continuing to play with my older account too and I have some vampire cards at there. Black/White Vampire decks can be good start for starters if you are interested.
TL,DR; Don't lead people with your false notions. Starter decks are enough to win at start. Just open a new account and complete Account Mastery, You will have 15 starter decks.
for reference: Shieldbreaker most people's opinion about the card back in rastakan that the card is great, but aggro plays Prince Keleseth.
them is essentially old owl in the current meta most minions you want to silence are taunts, and warrior now runs the taunt package which means their taunts are buffed also every deck runs Zilliax.
do you think them is worth inclusion in zoo/aggro warrior/murloc pally?
you can play a lot of decks just you really need Zilliax(which you REALLY should craft no matter what) and SN1P-SN4P(which you got for free in june).
I built to my friend who quit for a few months 3-4 decks with just those 2 as legendaries the decks looked good actually, token druid and mech hunter both just use those 2 cards and the rest of the deck is just commons and rares in both cases.
you can not run them BTW your deck will just be worse but I really reccomend just running those 2 cards in any deck you create.
murloc shaman can be played without [Hearthstone Card (scargill) Not Found] and you got yourself a top tier 2 deck without legendaries the current list doesn't even run Zilliax/SN1P-SN4P..
Other options you could find is murloc paladin, you drop the highlander stuff and nomi all you need is 4 epics and a bunch of murlocs, the powerful stuff is the Tip the Scales nomi and the highlander legendaries are against control mainly, and findley is 80% of the time a 2/3 murloc for 2.
Other options that I could suggest are overload shaman, which uses Vessina, the card is great but you can just.. not run her and have the pre expansion version, which is very good.
another staple that I really recommend crafting if you don't have him is Leeroy Jenkins he is a very strong finisher in many combo/aggro decks he appears in a lot of decks that aren't expensive.
I too threw my hat into the Quest priest Ring, though I run something different, and Quite often have completed the Quest by turn 4. This deck does give me an Idea that I had not thought of though, the Ornery Tortoise. Something this deck builder might want to think of, Crystalizer, 1 mana, 1/3 Battlecry Deal five damage to you, gain 5 armor.
On a side note, I prefer a control centered gamestyle and I couldn't ever play highlander it feels waaaaaaaaaaaay to inconsistent, there are too many cards that you need 2 of.
Most quests are the least of your problems: only few of them will be viable at the end of refinement process, and even less so will be actually strong.
On the other hand, it's pretty hard to completely exclude legendaries from decks nowadays.
You could try and build a fast Conjurer Mage, or some Aggro Shaman with a mix of murlocs and lackeys, or Zoolock with a mix of lackeys and blood synergies. Anyway, a deck with absolutely no legendaries is definitely suboptimal, although variably viable.
Whenever I play, I like the idea of having two copies of every card. I also don’t like depending on legendaries to win like a lot of decks do. I’m not really seeking advice, just seeing if there’s other people out there with a similar style. I play priest, so there are plenty of shenanigans..
I was originally trying to make a deck centered around Magic Carpet, but it isn’t very competitive at the moment. That being said I’m pretty averag
I like the class, and the concept feels pretty fresh. My main issue is the fact that the hero power is only good when playing a rune/empowered deck. And just about all the cards in the class have some sort sort of direct synergy with the runes.
A class should have a distinct identity, but your class is way to heavy on this one type of deck, so really there is only room for 1 type of deck when playing this class. you should put some more cards that would go into different decks. And also make some less exciting, more generic cards for the basic set.
I don't like that the hero power has such heavy direct synergy with a single keyword. Hero power's should simple, generic, non-specific, and underwhelming. your hero power is a keyword enabler, none of the other hero powers fill that role.
MTGA is a much better game. New players can get 15 decks after completing the new experience which has a ton of good cards. Cheap decks can win you games and easily complete quests. Draft is a ton of fun and is a great way to build a collection and play without worrying about your opponent’s using their full rare and mythic deck. Until the end of August there are weekly events that give good xp and easy wins with even a bad deck. And finally, rotation is happening in late Sept / early Oct so you don’t need to invest in old cards.
Like any CCG there are tons and tons of cards, many of which aren’t great. And Hearthstone does have a *slightly* better method of dusting cards for new cards. But MTGA improves upon that by throwing cards and packs at you so you can quickly build a collection.
Give it a try and see if you like it. Hearthstone and MTGA can both be fun games, but I’m getting more out of MTGA atm
I play that deck Finley is eminently replaceable by another Murloc with a good body. I only get to play him with his Battlecry about 20% of the time, if that. More often than not, he gets sucked into play by Tip the Scales.
He was the big signature card of a set. It's hard for Blizzard to nerf it without looking dumb. I agree that he could use it, but I'm saying that they will be hard pressed to as a matter of optics.
Why nobody plays shieldbreaker?

Not exactly "no spells", because it has Book of Specters.

Saviours of Uldum and class identity.
I think the Shaman Uldum identity, similarly to the Hunter identity seems to be in line with the article.
P.S: Remember Freeze Shaman !!!

Highlander Face Hunter is Rediculous
Looks great - 11000 dust though - so not for us budget hunters! :)
Rock, Paper, Scissors - 3 Competitive Standard Decks
Great job!!
But I prefer the terms aggro, midrange and control, since they sound less misleading.

Rock, Paper, Scissors - 3 Competitive Standard Decks
btw, they can't even touch the mana cost, as it would lose the consistency of the dr.7 meme-title.
Probably, the best way to nerf it is switching the Rush keyword with another one. Maybe Magnetic or Windfury.
Either way, for the meta to stay balanced, you are required to have Control in place at around t2.
So all in all they can't and they shouldn't destroy CW. What they should do is finding a way to not make it THE Control deck, whatever that way is.
Ouch Priest
I too threw my hat into the Quest priest Ring, though I run something different, and Quite often have completed the Quest by turn 4. Your Standard Brawliseum
It is a difficult one to make use of, if you don't have all the cards already. I mean, it's just ranked with different rewards, no?
I guess it's a way for people who have spent a lot of money on getting all the cards to reap some rewards (which I'm fine with)?

great deck dude very strong

Tempo taunt warrior
Running a deck similar to this, heaps of fun and pretty competitive. Currently at Rank 3 in Wild with it.
