  • ACHIEVEMENT (need help)

    Staff

You cannot obtain either of them anymore.

HearthStation was the early iteration of Out of Cards and those that joined back in that time got the achievement.

The latter was a very recent one, those curious enough to follow the "quest chain" that Brann started on this post ended up getting the achievement. This post was the originally-hidden end point of that scavenger hunt.

Chimera, you tried the 7 cost Reborn guy in the deck yet?  I've seen a few variants on ladder using it and it's definitely the "best" reborn minion by far.  Thoughts?

  • Is MtG:A F2P?

    Quote From Siegfrieddo

MTG >>>>>> HS because of many reasons: no RNG, multitude of archetypes, better art, more adult feel etc

On the ftp side, as people above said very well, you can slowly build your collection for free, but it's gonna take a looong time to build really good decks, except the hyper aggro ones, which you use to grind. Anyway, it's a very satisfying game, with more than 20 years of successful history. Really, what are you waiting for??

Literally you're first reason is "NO RNG"? Your leading argument out of the gates, and you're already stumbling...I'm laughing out loud as much as JJJ here.  If you believe that, not only are you a naive fool; but I've got a statue in Booty Bay to sell you.

  • I Require Feedback for Totem Shaman...

So, I tried to play something like this last season. My experience is that, in the end, you'll have a board full of weak minions, so, a good option would be to include Bloodlust as a finisher. This is like a token deck.

Also, I tried the Valiant but he is too slow, although his effect is cool. In my experience, just one was enough.

Stormcaller is another cool card that will never have the effect triggered (just think about this: you'll need to have the four basic totems and, at most, just one more minion on your side, otherwise, he won't have space to summon Al'Akir). I also tried him and he just doesn't work (btw, mine is a golden one, but I'll never dust him!!)

Another great option is Maelstrom Portal, since your small minions will suffer against other aggro decks.

Also consider the great tips by RavenSun.

The thing is: Like you, I enjoy building conceptual decks, but if you don't like losing so much, you'll have to make some pragmatic changes. (I.e. if you are playing casual, this deck will be a joy, but in ranked, you'll eventually be frustrated to lose so much).

Let us know how was your experience!!

Participated in the Out of Cards Uldum Essentials quest with the League of Explorers. ( HOW?) any link?

  • Twinspells and Highlander

    Quote From Xarkkal

This year the classes are split into 2 types

"Heroes" - Mage, Hunter, Paladin & Druid

"Villians" - Warrior, Shaman, Rogue, Priest & Warlock

Each group has received separate support in each xpac

    RoS

    Heroes - Twinspell

    Villians - Lackeys

    SoU

    Heroes - Highlander

    Villians - Plagues

Since xpacs are developed in advance, it is safe to assume blizz knew how useful Twinspells would be in the highlander playstyle that they had planned for the hero classes.

to jump on the bandwagon and add a bit into this, by 'advance' they currently work about 4 expansions ahead.  They are literally working on Summer 2020's set RIGHT NOW.  By the time we were told that this year would be a 'theme', they were already well into development into all 3 of the sets of this year.

So, there's a 90% chance when they introduced Twinspell for the 'heros' they already knew it would go into the highlander decks and whatever they plan to do with the heros in the next set.

Most of the players' deck designing is less about putting random things together than is it figuring out what Blizzard had in mind when making these decks.  They do get surprised (I don't think Yogg was meant to work they way it did in the competitive scene) but far less often than we think.

Point is, twinspell is meant to help the highlander classes get around their highlanderness in a more nuanced way than those odd-even cards tried (and failed) with Genn/Baku.

  • How do you handle 'mass disentchant'?

    Quote From Arcsun

I hold on to everything, in case there are any nerfs or other changes to cards. I only disenchant when I need the dust, focusing on goldens first.

    This!!

  • Thekal + Giants

I haven't updated this deck in months even though I should, Hogsteed is actually a pretty good addition imo. If you're encountering a lot of big priests try running Mojomaster Zihi, in my experience it fucks with them a lot more than Lotheb/Rebuke

    Quote From ColinthePyro

It seems like you don't really have much early game other than Totem Golem. Maybe put in a Sludge Slurper?

Which one should I cut for, though? Have any idea, Colin?

  • Starter Thief Rogue

Depends, do you have any of the other 3 legendarys I recommended?

  • I Require Feedback for Totem Shaman...

It makes sense. I was also tempted to craft Valiant to try something similar.

Well, first of all i firmly believe Even Totemic Shaman is MUCH stronger and more constent across various matchups. But that is OT.

Secondly, you are discarding a number of strong totem synergy cards, including Thing from Below, Sea Giant.

Thirdly, have you considered Hench-Clan Hag?

Good notice, forgot of these cards for some reason. Thanks for the feedback, RavenSun. I know that Even Shaman fits better here but I wanted to use Totem-related cards that don't cost Even, namely Thunder Bluff Valiant, to give a nod to a forgotten archetype from TGT.

Title says it all. Have a look at this deck, then feel free to tell me how to improve because I think it can be optimized better with your valuable feedback:

    So, what to do?

  • Surprisingly bad decks?

    Quote From Ballsdeeper

finley deck doesnt seem great right now.

Making Mummies is amazing. It works well in a Singleton Deck as well although I much prefer my decks to be good at one thing only.

I reckon this is the most "I wish I had that cardback" cardback out there.

  • The Pepper Thread - Share Some Good Vibes!

Playing my quest priest i was matched against a quest druid. Passed many turns and even though they were playing minions they refused to deal damage to me so i couldn't heal. Joke's on them, i had a hand of expensive spells and dropped King Phaoris for a full beefy board. LOL. Needless to say he had no way to deal with it.

Win streak atm with this deck.

They should probably contact blizzard, just gave the patch note page a quick look and it didn't say any conditions to receive it. The only possible ones I can think of are overall level of 20 (the conditions to get morgl) or getting to rank 20

Great job, Demonxz95! Let's go! Getting rusty with card creation. :D

  • Again, in order to get the Upgrade!, it does not have to be the mulligan. You get two draws before you have to play a card on turn 2. Also, stop comparing it to the [Hearthstone Card (woodsman's axe) Not Found]. I did not advocate trading out the axe for a First Mate. I suggested trading the worgen. All of the moves you are advocating are still possible if you swap one worgen for one First Mate. But you get double the chance of a much better opening. As I said, your choice.

The Tortollan Pilgrim would have looked much more badass in that form with inscribed cloth stripes!

But I maintain the best final art is Anka, the Buried.
