Enjoying Highlander Hunter, that's about it. All the classes I want to focus on getting golden I can't find a solid enough deck for playing ladder. All shaman decks feel subpar, and I don't want to play Murlocs anymore. Paladin I don't have the quest, I don't like the new murloc deck, and I already have golden paladin. Rogue feels like trash this xpac. Warlock is just zoo as always, and now the meta is settling, its winrate is dropping, Priest is meme status still, and I hate Mage and Warrior.
Well there are some cards i thought would not be that good like the above mentioned Paladin Quest for example. But most surprisingly for me are the Highlander Decks. Never thought that Highlander Hunter could be that good. And i surely thought Chef Nomis time was over but still it found it´s way back into the meta - at least for now.
I also underestimated Zephrys at the beginning but right now this is one of the best cards (or at least very strong).
Sometimes I feel like I'm onto something, but am a crappy deckbuilder myself or lack the cards. So, I call forward all of you skilled players to mess around with good ol' Spiteful Summoner. I played some games with spiteful priest and King Phaoris was a nasty addition to hit those big spells we draw early. Especially, try a Khadgar with Spiteful. Maybe... highlander spiteful mage?!
Spitefull Summoner can be played in two types of decks:
1) Deck that want to play a high number of high cost spells where you do not have to change the deck to make Spitefull strong (example: big spell mage, some reno mage) 2) Deck that can't play that many spells because their strategy is heavily minion based, so that they won't need to cut that much low cost spell to add a spitefull summoner engine (example: Dragon Priest, my quest hunter, some anyfin paladins).
The first condition is something about Mage and other late game high spell class like druid. The second can apply to any class that has at least 2 big usefull spell and that has some archetypes minion-based with a good curve. Remember that Spitefull Summoner is a midrange card, very good if dropped on curve to substain your gameplay.
Spiteful Engines possible:
DRUID: ultimate infestation, tree of life, gift of the wild, the forest's aid, overflow, wisp of the Old Gods, HUNTER: call of the wild, crushing walls, Flark's Boomzoka MAGE: pyroblast, Puzzle box of Yogg-Saron, power of creation, glacial mysteries, firelands portal, flamestrike, Greater Arcane Missles PALADIN: Anyfin can happen, dinosize, tip the scales, lay on hands, kangor's endless army, a new challenger, PRIEST: mind control, plague of death, mass resurrection, Zerek's cloning gallery, free from amber, diamond spellstone, psichyc scream ROGUE: sprint SHAMAN: everyfin is awesome, sapphire spellstone, earthquake, WARLOCK: DOOM!, demonbolt, twisting nether, void contract, WARRIOR: dimensional ripper, the boomship, crush, mithril spellstone
This shows that every class but Shaman and Rogue can play a Spiteful Engine.
That is a deck that performs better then you think. I still think that if you don't mind about high legend, you can play almost anything. Often if the meta is right, the surprise element helps more then you think.
However, as you said, Mage is the best class for Spitefull. I have 2 lists on my device, I'll post it if you like.
Not in Wild: Spiteful decks are viable if you like, but don't expect to compete with top tier decks. Spiteful is just too slow, and quite inconsistent too. And not having small spells generally means your swing capabilities are quite bad, so gl with any Aggro or Tempo deck. Phaoris is stronger but also slower. At that point you should include a stronger wincon in your deck instead.
On a sidenote that links to BSM, Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron is an insanely strong card, basically a Yogg that can be tutored, copied and repeated.
Yeah, it's not going to be that consistent but damn it's fun. Also, as much as there low-rolls, there's a bunch of really high ones. Getting that new 10/10 with divine shield and reborn on turn 6 really took people by surprise when I played it.
Also, Synesthey, please do post it, I'd like to give it a try ^^
Since a few months, I have stopped pressing the buttons. In Rise of Shadows, I got a refund for 15 Evil Miscreants after the nerf. That's 750 dust, or 685 dust profit.
At the moment I have ~13k dust in the button. I disenchant most of my golden cards unless I think it's a contender for nerfs. I see the button as a lot of potential value but might see it rise to above 20k before the end of the year. It also means that whenever a meta settles I can craft at will.
The deck is insane... beats Tip the Scales Pally, Quest Druid, Quest Rogue, Quest Priest, Zoolock, Taunt Warrior, Conjurer's Mage, and is not that reliant on Dr.7, unless in a mirror match of course.
As most expected, Uldum has been a pretty powerful and impactful set. But even then, there are cards that I did not think would be very good or competitive. But, I have been pleasantly surprised by a handful of cards from this set.
- Highlander decks are competitive I didn't have much hope for these decks. I thought Elise would see play in combo, but I didn't think the payoff was there for the other cards. Now, about a week in, both Mage and Hunter have successful Highlander decks. Zephyrs also shows up in places you wouldn't expect, like Rogue.
- The paladin quest has a place I was pretty low on most of the paladin set, but the mummy quest deck has a place in competitive hearthstone. I certainly think the deck could stand to receive a few more playable reborn minions, but right now, it works just fine as a hard counter to warrior and a fine check to slower mages.
- Khartut Defender A lot of neutral taunts were released in this set. I would not have expected that Khartut Defender would be the best one. But I guess it's worth it to pay 3 mana for 3 keywords that all synergize with each other.
I only disenchant some cards when i want to try some cards i don't have, starting with golden first and then dupes. I always keep my asset in the form of cards because their value can change overtime (nerfs), while dust is always static.
Usually I just press the mass disenchant button and maybe once a month or so I'll do some clean-up by searching for 'extra' and dusting all extras and always keep the golden versions because I like golden animation.
This might be difficult to make, but it would be cool if we could have a feature on the site that allowed you to make and store your own custom cards. I would be a lot simpler than going onto one site to make the card, then somewhere else to store the card, then back to here and post it. I think it would make the competition more inviting if we could do the entire thing here.
I agree ;-)
Do you think it would be something that might be implemented in the future?
It may be worth considering a Cult Master for the Token Druid build. It's a cheap Classic card, and with BEEES!!!! it becomes a draw engine that the deck otherwise lacks.

Control/Taunt Warrior is pretty strong right now, so I climbed with it.
Then played Quest Druid/Priest a lot, really fun game when you either highroll or get rekt.
Also, gonna try an
Pogo Rogue I've seen.
Pleasant Surprises from Uldum
Hi
I am hard to surprise. The first decks i made were nomi Murloc padadin and a quest paladin 😇
Also druid beeing played a lot and the quest close to OP was expected.
I thought that i will see quest priest a lot and it will take a top place in the meta but where are they?
How do you handle 'mass disentchant'?
Pretty much as above.
I dust cards if I have 10 or more of them until it says 9 - unless I think it's a nerf candidate.
If Blizzard gives us a free golden card I'll usually dust it and any extras as it being nerfed seems exceptionally unlikely.
I press the disenchant button just to keep on eye on how much dust I potentially have, but don't actually mass disenchant.
Dust golden extras sometimes if the card is not good.
On rotation I go through the newly rotated sets and dust extras manually.
I'm f2p so try to be careful with dust and wait for meta to settle and pick what best synergizes with my collection.
Raiding the Sky Temple with Reno and Friends
Looks like a fun and pretty decent list and since i have the cards i will try this one!

Are they ever going to Nerf warrior into oblivion?
I really enjoy half an hour games of watching them do nothing and then remove all my shit with endless mechs with rush or other dumb shit.
Spiteful... might be back?!

Aggro warrior being really competitive looking at its winrates across the board.
Murloc paladin with Finley, Zephrys and Nomi being a thing. Although we'll have to see if this deck will actually survive.
And quest paladin for me as well.
[66% WR] SoU Aggro Hybrid SHAMAN
I will try it out!
Theo's Control Warrior - Uldum Launch Deck
The deck is insane... beats Tip the Scales Pally, Quest Druid, Quest Rogue, Quest Priest, Zoolock, Taunt Warrior, Conjurer's Mage, and is not that reliant on Dr.7, unless in a mirror match of course.
It shines when you mullingan for Eternium Rover, Town Crier, Frightened Flunky and if you have Dr. Boom, Mad Genius you keep it and win.
The only bad thing is that after winning 10 games in a row, I feel ashamed of myself... warrior it's just too op atm.
