Going to have to try this out to assist with the testing! We will make Unseal the Vault playable!

Any substitutions for The Storm Bringer and Shudderwock?

  • Quest deck winrates

I've run across almost nothing but Paladins today. Most of those were the quest variety with a couple of Holy Wrath Paladins thrown in for good measure. I can honestly say that the Paladin quest is insanely powerful. The high number of Reborn cards give them great value while they work to complete their quest, and then they invariably drop a Mechano-Egg and magnetize a taunt to it and then copy it to oblivion. Your only options are to clear out all their minions in one fell swoop and deal with all the 8/8's left in their wake, silence everything and hope hope they don't have any more, or somehow muster enough burn spells to take them out directly without dealing with their never ending minions. It's a very oppressive deck in my opinion, and I hope it doesn't become a problem in this meta, but I'm afraid it will. Out of more than a dozen games today, I played at least 10 Quest Paladins. There was only one that I was able to run down before he could run away with the board, and I think it was more because he didn't have a complete collection. Silence is gonna rule if this keeps up.

  • Raiding the Sky Temple with Reno and Friends

Hey, this seems really fun! But I'm lacking Luna's and Reno, how can I replace it? Also, is a favorite button going to be implemented? As I get more cards I like to visit some stuff I liked in the past.

What do people normally use to create custom cards? Like software wise.

    Is there a guide somewhere

We go to http://hearthcards.net/ ...for now, anyway. We'd like to see our own card creator here at Out of Cards eventually.

When OoC gets their own, eventually, I'd like it to be WAY more organised and user friendly than what Hearthcards has. It's a literal headache to look at

Funny that you mention a guide. I've been writing one myself.

To make custom Hearthstone cards, people use HearthCards. It can do basically everything. Here's the link: http://hearthcards.net/

    EDIT: Damn Linkblade, ninja'd me.

Thanks for including my decklist! XD

  • Kripp's Murloc Paladin - Uldum Launch Deck

I'm not sold on Nomi in this deck. I have never used that card successfully. Instead, sometimes you use the Lens and end up with a 7 cost Tip The Scales due to Nomi. Do people think Nomi is worth it?

Otherwise I think this list is solid, although I prefer to include at least one Truesilver Champion.

If anyone is interested, HearthPwn recently begun Season 10 of their WCDCs. The theme this week is literally just "make a Reborn minion".

  • Hack the System

A great question! And I'm not going to lie to you - if you want to be running the best Warrior deck right now, you should absolutely be running Dr. Boom, Mad Genius in one of the various decks that support him.

This deck was purely to see how good a deck you can make using the new Quest, and Boom goes against the point of that. Turns out the Quest can be pretty good by itself though, so if you're looking to switch up how you've been playing Warrior, it's a great option for that.

  • On rarity creep

Yes, there is a problem and that is related to the 2 legendaries per class. Back in the days the high number of neutral legendaries meant that there were cards safe to craft that will always keep their value (at least during their standard time for standard-only player). I think about the first legendaries I crafted: Ragnaros, Sylvanas, N'Zoth, Cairne, ... And some of them were crafted with 700 gold: Reno Jackson, Sr Finley, Emperor Thaurissan, Loatheb...

Nowaday most legendaries are class legendaries, so A) every deck must have its own legendaries, that won't be played anywhere else and B) the deckbuilding feel more forced, as there isn't much freedom in using class legendaries.

There is a reason if most interesting cards are still neutral (Mecha'Thun, Prince Keleseth, Zilliax,...) but they aren't as strong as they were some years ago like Ragnaros or Dr 7.

  • On rarity creep

I hope one day they will buff these legendaries. I mean, they are legendaries after all.

  • On rarity creep

What do I think? I think no one can please everyone, not even Blizzard. Sorry, but that's the harsh truth. There will always be some problems like this one, and no matter what Blizzard does, they are inevitable. Of course, I'm talking about the problem with new/f2p players and legendaries, not the rarity creep.

  • Quest deck winrates

I have created 5 different decks with Corrupt the Waters.  2 were ok, 2 were decent, 50% win rates, and the third has had me lock in 5-10 wins in 4 brawlasiums...  And no matter what version I play this data will lump every deck as ‘quest shaman.’

This data is flawed for lots of reasons but that’s  the guiltiest offender

    Quote From Avalon

A question from a player who would like to get into Wild. Are Subject 9 and Zilliax any good in the format?

As you can imagine from the question, I'm trying to think about my crafts in a long time perspective, so I'd like to hear some experience player's opinion.

It depends in your objectives: Are you trying to climb HIGH ranks? If yes don't waste your dust, look for some super-aggro deck and enjoy the ride.

If not, then you will certainly find many decks they will certainly fit!! This site is full of interesting decks, probably many with these cards you're looking forward to craft!!

  • As a Hearthstone player have you ever tried WoW?

I have almost never played wow because money (and time, that is also money, but I can't talk about time 250 hours of skyrim after). I like the universe, but I still prefer single player RPG.

I remember that I was a wargen warlock, and that's all.

    Quote From iWatchUSleep

So, we're a few days into the expansion. Of course a lot of decks are still being refined heavily but looking at hsreplay just now surprised me. The meta archetypes tab in particular: https://hsreplay.net/meta/#tab=archetypes

The only quest deck with a positive winrate is the paladin one. Obviously half of the quests were quite obviously going to be meme tier at best. But quest druid and shaman not being able to hit an average winrate of 50% or higher baffles me.

My assumption why only Uther's quest seems competitive would be because quest paladin destroys the 'strongest' deck right now, control warrior. With a whopping 76.8% winrate no less. Whereas all the other decks stand no chance against good ol' Garrosh. Even quest shaman with its near infinite value seems to be no match.

What are your thoughts on why this is the case? Do you think druid, shaman or any other quest deck can still climb to a positive winrate?

Too soon, you're making assumptions too soon, Executus!!!

This all seems really cool! The only glaring issues I see are Lothraxian and Whispered Secrets. Lothraxian is blatantly overpowered since you're essentially adding a 4/4 body to an already good card for no extra mana cost, which makes him as good as a seven mana card while costing 4 mana. You could solve this by upping the mana cost or making him add Truesilver to your hand instead of equipping it."

Yeah, it's power creep, for sure. Truesilver Champion itself doesn't see a ton of play. If standard has a better 2 or 3 mana weapon, that typical gets chosen instead. My thought here is that the paladin set will have a lot of weapon synergy, which could easily backfire and cause a lot of weapon removal. I'll consider other variations, or even entire other concepts for the character. Thanks for your feelings on this one, it'll probably see changes.

    Quote From CursedParrot

Whispered Secrets doesn't functionally make sense, since if it's a Secret it should have a trigger. You could solve this by either just making it a normal Spell (taking away the part that says Secret:) or making it say "Secret: When your opponent plays a card, put a random secret into the battlefield." The "from any class" specification is unnecessary since random already means "from any class."

I need to think over the wording on this card more. I want it to go into play as a Rogue Secret, since this set will add to the 3 existing rogue secrets from KnC. I also want it to trigger secret synergy cards, like secret keeper. This was like the 2nd or 3rd wording I've used. I'm going to think over your suggestions and try to pin down the perfect wording.

"at the start of your opponent's turn, transform in a random secret"

While for Lothraxion I can see it either as a deathrattle like Tyrion, or at (5) mana, even as a 4/5.

  • On rarity creep

I guess everyone here is familiar with the concept of power creep, that is when some new cards are strictly better than some old cards. I won't give any examples because this expansion has plenty and it's easy to find some.

What is less talked about is rarity creep. That is, when card effects previously printed as epic or legendary are now printed on cards with lower rarities.

    Here's what I mean:

Maexxna Card ImageWasteland Scorpid Card Image

Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale Card ImageBanana Buffoon Card Image

I feel like this is a problem. Since the transition from 1 to 2 legendaries per class per expansion in 2017, legendaries (both class and neutral) have become more specialized and specific (Zilliax and SN1P-SN4P are recent exceptions), while in the past legendaries were more versatile and those that were good were auto-includes (think OG Dr. Boom). Nowadays however legendaries are often the foundation for an archetype, and most decks need to contain specific legendaries to be viable on ladder, which means that new/f2p players need to focus on legendaries for a specific archetype that often won't be used elsewere. So they're stuck with basically one deck.

What do you think? Is it a problem for you?

  • Invasion of the Legion! (New Set, WIP)

Legion Historian is also far too underpowered, given that there was a 6 Mana 6/6 that added a demon to your hand at the end of the turn and it wasn't played. You could probably even make it a 3/4 and it wouldn't be overpowered. Or, you could make it a 4/5 or a 2/6 and have it add a random demon from the past to both player's hands.
