Holy #()4)#( we're already a day in and the general mentality is still very positive?
I honestly swear that's not me being trolly or hyperbolic. In almost every expansion since at least TGT the community had found some major deck to rage over, whether it was Secret paladin, C'thun decks, Jade Druid, Cubelock, Shudderwock, or so on. Even in expansions we loved there would be SOMETHING to rage over.
So yeah, seeing this thread I was seriously looking for That Deck. And by the above.. it sounds like a pretty awesome run so far. That sounds great.
Myself I never get into the meta at this point. I'm in spam-arena mode, so I just have to watch how everyone is taking to the meta.
As far as the old deck users.. hoarding gold doesn't really help a F2Per in MAKING decks. It gets you the core commons and rares and a few legnedaries to start aiming yourself towards. But you have to craft the final key cards to make any deck. And only the insane (or new who will learn the issues shortly) F2Per will be crafting a single bit of ANYTHING at this time. Instead you'll either be in Arena, playing Wonderful decks or playing your old stuff, especially if they still can get you somewhere.
Once things stabilize, we'll sort over the riff raff and join in.
Yeah I haven't run into "that deck" yet. Every deck seems beatable so far. Few days of refinement will be needed. But so much better than previous expansions where 1 deck is dominating everything (I'm looking at you Bomb Warrior and Token Druid from Ro)
I think, that in some cases Shieldbreaker would really be better due to her cheap cost, but I kinda want to run Spellbreaker for now in case I stumble upon rogues (edwin) or some mech decks. Still, I have to play some games and decide what would be stronger.
May I suggest you to run Shieldbreaker instead of Spellbreaker? If you really think about it, you usually run Silence for Taunts and not for other effects. So, you would have 2 more mana in order to find lethal.
Interesting take! I'm not sold yet on the Octosari, might want to consider replacing with a silence or even Solarium for cheaper card draw in a pinch? Plague of Flames is a particularly interesting include, is that tech primarily for big mage or are you finding other consistent applications for the card?
I was playing Whizbang (that gave me Heal Druid) and got matched up against Control Warrior... In theory it should've been a piece of cake in practice it was an utter nightmare... I had to resurrect hordes of Lucentbarks 6 times to barely be able go through all the armor and bullshit (removal and whatnot) that he got from Hero Power and Omega Assembly... He also still ran Youthful Brewmaster for double Elysiana... How can someone be so greedy and get away with it is beyond me...
Losing to Giant+CC on turn 5 might be annoying but I'm glad the Deck is there to keep these horribly greedy Warriors in check... I'd be even more happy if this expansion finally gave us some playable combo Decks so I can make Warriors suffer as much as we poor souls without a busted Hero Card do everytime we get matched up against them...
I have been playing a build quite similar to that one today. I think there's a solid chance that Blessing of Wisdom should be the secondary draw engine of choice instead Acolyte of Pain and/or Questing Explorer.
In the early game, plenty of sticky and divine shield minions to play it on. If you start magnetizing early with Micro Mummy and Bronze Guardian, you have a guy who will draw multiple times. In the late game, if you copy a minion with BoW, you start producing fields that constantly reload your hand, and that's nearly impossible to come back from.
To be fair, I have not tested the deck with Subdue, and that has obvious Acolyte synergy.
I'm gonna be the negative nancy here. The new quests are too powerful, especially Shaman, Druid and Rogue. The vast majority of games I've played come down to a race to finish the quest, with minion interactions (you know, the crux of this game) being an afterthought. On top of that, I've been playing LackLock (or WarLack?) and it's the same. If I draw Dark Pharaoh Tekahn before opponent completes quest, I win. Otherwise they win. Luck has always been part of HS, but this might be crossing the line for me. Too highroll. Maybe things will change and new non-quest decks will emerge and take over the meta, but right now... meh.
The Crocolisk works just like the Bees from BEES!. This is mostly a 4 mana 3/2 that deals 2 damage, but has synergy with hyena and other board buffs (tundra wolf and so on). If the first 1 damage kills the target the crocolisk remains on the board alive.
Defensive spell, something about a barrier or a shield.
I've been playing some singleton Mage and Hunter, and holy cow does that card carry whenever it's played. I'm starting to think it's good enough to have in a traditional control deck with 2x of several cards. If you consider that people hang on to Archivist Elysiana until 30 cards have been drawn, I think you could justify hanging on to this until about 20 cards have been drawn.
I can't believe people are not only taking your post seriously, but mine too. I thought it was super obvious. How can this many people be so clueless???
Apparently not everyone can understand how serious you were being (which is not at all lol)
The History of the Tol'vir - Traversing Azeroth
Excellent post.
I have never play wow, and i think ill never play it. It needs too much time, i barely have for HS.
Please keep writing about the lore. Love it!

Saviors of Uldum Launch Survival Guide - Everything You Need to Know + Theorycraft Decks
where is the next quest ?!
Quest Warlock Uldum
After playing this 10 or so times with your changes I can see why you've had success pulling it off. How has day two been? It's hella fun to play.
Theorycraft Quest Paladin
Current experience is that quest druids and priests are so strong that they feel OP ... Seems pala is unsuited to beat them....
Yogg Saron’s wishing well.
Y'all prayed to the wrong god.. Yogg is known to bring Cataclysm to his subjects.. N'ZOTH or C'thun are more reliable
10-3 Zoolock
Interesting idea. Thank you for suggesting it.

What Free Quest Did You All Get?
Unseal the Vault here, plus got Making Mummies from packs.
Hunter quest is nowhere near as broken as some of the other quests, but it's a lot of fun. Haven't really play the pally quest yet.

I think this is the most viable and consistent list i have played so far i think for the paladin quest.

Going to write a guide for this later today.
Starter Cyclone Mage
Wow, Sinti. I love how much effort you put in your deck guide. Gratz for your success.

Bomb Quest Warrior
Whoops sorry.
I just moused over the card and didn't see any tower in the background like they would have for the expansion.
My bad

So the pack quest Onward to Uldum! is next week?

Nice deck Regis, loved your Reddit post

This decks fucking great. My kind of priest deck. Suuuuper slow though so make sure you have time lol.
What Free Quest Did You All Get?
Exactly the same here
Fibonacci's Big Warrior - Uldum Launch Deck
I played against this exact same deck earlier today with my Quest Paladin. It beat me good.
Your Standard Brawliseum
Oh great. It's the "You don't actually get a Tavern Brawl" Brawl again...
