I think in theory mage could pull off a 2 turn OTK using Apprentice+r10 times a Magic Trick rediscover+Arcane Missiles+Elemental Evocation + Cyclone into lots of Arcane Missiles = lethal on turn 2. But chances are slim.
You're skipping over a pretty important point there. On turn 3 you play Cleric and trade your Mummy, then heal the Mummy? That's all assuming that you played a 1/2 on turn 2 and it lived, untouched, to your turn 3. Which is crazy talk if we're talking about two board-centric decks fighting it out. What will happen in real games is you play the mummy turn 2 into their Sorcerer's Apprentice or, hell, any 2 drop since the mummy has lousy stats, they use their 2 drop to kill your mummy (no +1/+1 for you unless you also stuck a 1 drop the turn before that), then they ping your Reborn mummy, and both halves of your +1/+1 go to waste. So in essence, it's like you played a 1/2 and a 1/1 with no additional effects, and you can't even kill their 2 drop because they can ping off the second half of your minion. You'd be better off playing a River Croc at that point cause that at least kills a Sorcerer's Apprentice on the first trade. Like I said, splitting the stats of the mummy means you get value traded into high hell and back. The fact that the +1/+1 is stuck on a deathrattle instead of a battlecry also means your opponent will often be the one deciding when it triggers. And you can rest assured your opponent will make it so that it triggers at the least convenient time for you. Look at Spawn of N'Zoth for an example of how "well" deathrattle board buffs work out. So no, it's not even close to a 4/5 for 2, because chances are at least 1/1 or 2/2 of those stats will go to waste, and the 2/3 of the minion itself can be easily value traded without any losses on your opponent's side.
Arcane golem was premium before the heavy nerf. Hydra, cornered sentry, hecklebot and fel reaver actually saw competetive play as a tech choice or even staple in tier 1/2 decks too. And tbh constructed is not the only play mode. Most of these are pretttttty good arena cards. Not all the cards are printed to see constructed play, there will always be memes, arena cards and obvious pack fillers.
They could reset all the decks after ~2 days, because that isn't going away lol.
I mean, it's the whole point of the brawl, but it's making the brawl pretty boring. So why not announce who won in a short post from a community manager to explain what's going on, then reset.
Btw, does this deck swap also work with friend duels? If so, people could 'share' decks to beat this.
For all you downvoting, the chances this buffs two minions is almost zero. When is the last time we got excited about Zoo Priest and were right?
That was my point above - it doesn't need to buff twice. Buffing once still makes this card 3/4 stats on turn 2 because the 2nd buff is almost guaranteed.
You get to the real issue in your second sentence - what is this deck?
I'd argue that the current iteration of DS/IF priest is basically a "zoo" that uses DS/IF as it's burst finish. This card can go into something like that. And the new legendary further pushes this idea out there.
it's not though. it's a control deck that hopes to stick a high health minion in the late game. zoo priest has never existed. the only non control/combo priest decks we've ever seen are dragon priest and keleseth spiteful priest.
I still think it's a pretty interesting experiment and even if I lost interest in playing the brawl by now I'm looking forward to seeing if it will still be the same deck plaguing the brawl at the end of the week or if some other deck will take over.

Whether or not this is playable depends on the overall playability of aggro/zoo Priest, and so far I'm not entirely convinced priest is cheating enough with the cards in its arsenal. Mind Blast getting HoFed really hurt the archetype and I'm not seeing cheap, grossly overstatted minions with upsides to make up for it.
In Grandmummy's case, they could've printed it as a 2/2 and I'd still evaluate it as fair. And things that are merely "fair" typically don't result in top tier decks.
This is a game-losing card in both constructed and arena. And yet, it's still a better card, in both design and playability than Desert Obelisk. I will eat my mouse if Desert Obelisk is viable in any way.
Interesting card to play effectively, as it really needs to do something the same turn to be a significant power spike. After it hits the board, one's opponent could leave it up with low health to effectively nerf subsequent drops (or effectively make them cost more mana / cards to heal him up first).

And before I can even play Skulking Geist my opponent plays into Eye for an Eye not once, not twice but three times. I won by Turn 6 without ever actually going face once. 🤟😂
I'm assuming a minion being reborn counts as it being summoned? Either way, that seems like a pretty niche application of this card, not to mention that Amet can become a detriment if your opponent sets his health to 1.
I doubt this will see much play past the initial experimentation phase and if it does, it's probably just going to be DS+ Inner Fire deck #212648246812. I was kind of hoping they'd introduce a new Priest archetype in this set to make up for murdering Mind Blast but so far I'm pretty underwhelmed.
This is one of those 'hard to evaluate because it enables some pretty insane possible combos, and there are too many that are honestly kind of fringe at the moment but we'll have to wait and see what else gets released and how fast the new meta is' cards.
Are you kidding? This very card allows for a 10-mana 36-damage OTK.
There are literally people complaining about this making Priest unbeatable, and in the same thread there are people complaining it's too weak. I feel for Blizzard, because they really cannot win here.
If you don't get any value from the deathrattle, this is similar to Cloakscale Chemist. How often will the buff hit?
That argument can be made about almost every card - "If X is stopped, it is bad." (For my old school YGO people, BTH > BLS.)
In reality, the effect should proc often enough, if you build your deck for it. You aren't just throwing this into some random deck that doesn't have reasonable 1 and 2 drops to go with it.
Priest still has one of the only broken 1 drops left in the game. And this card only makes Cleric better.
but how often are you really getting the whole 4/5 stats?
You also don't need to get the max 4/5 out of this. Getting 1 proc from the buff (which should virtually be assured since you will be able to play a minion then pop this one off) is probably enough.
I think people are thinking too hard about this card.

None of that says control. Highest cost card is Zilliax, and it doesn't run AOE.
