You’re right about that, the question is just if anyone would go that far just to counter one card. If you do put it in your deck, and then get a matchup against any other class you would be stuck with a 0-drop instead of a more useful card. But in the end it all depends on if this card will be powerful

Well, I don't think it's that far-fetched. You just have to save those spells for the final turn. Moreover, in the cases when you don't face a hunter, you can just use the cycle spells (Wrath) on the 0-drop or play it alongside Wild Pyromancer, so that the prior minion would die to pyro's effect.

In my previous comment I was going to say how Skulking Geist would counter your strategy way better than the new hunter secret, but then I thought how the 4/6 is just a situational tech, while the secret can be good in various scenarios. So I expect Pressure Plate to gain a lot of popularity and good druid players would play around that spell, if they want to be competitive with that combo deck.

Against conjurer? How? You can play this in 2 Situations:

    1. They got a giant on board that you can‘t remove. This very same giant attacks, gets conjurerd and one of the two new giants gets killed. Congratulations, you lose anyways.

    2. They got no giant. They‘ll just throw a banana buffon or whatever into play and trigger the Secret.

Not to mention. This deck plays mirror image. If anything, conjurer mage counters this secre

It’s a good counter to Mechathun decks

Yes and no. Since the card description states "after", if you cast only one spell and manage to kill Mecha'thun with it, his deathrattle will trigger before the secret comes into play. In wild you could potentially counter Mecha'thun warlocks with it, but only if they aren't careful. If they play the 10-drop, followed by Bloodbloom, the mech would be vulnerable to the destruction effect. If however the warlock plays BB first and then follows up with Mecha'thun and Cataclysm, the game is over for you.

And in the case of Archmage Vargoth - the mage player has to play Time Warp first and then summon the 2/6 legendary.

I think the secret wouldn't trigger on Bloodbloom if the opponent's board is empty, so the secret would trigger after cataclysm, but it doesn't matter since Mechathun's deathrattle would still trigger before, if I'm not mistaken.

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

Nope. It‘s more like a last resort for some decks. You simply play Mecha‘thun with one spell left in your hand. The spell triggers the Secret and you win

Will it pop, if your opponent has no minions?

It won't, since there isn't anything to destroy. Same with Never Surrender!, Competitive Spirit etc.

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

Its a good one however there are ppl out there that play only hunter. I know its crazy since its a shitty class but lots of ppl like it so u got downvoted and probably so will i. When that class has a smorc hero power u either accept that hunter is an aggro class or live in denial otherwise

  • New Hunter Spell - Pressure Plate

Obviously weak if your opponent has no large minions, but most decks have at least a few. They can play around it by dumping some small minions, but you can still randomly hit the large minion anyway, similar to Obsidian Statue; additionally, this opens them up to cards like Unleash the Hounds.

Another thing this card does is potentially disrupt combos that involve spells plus minions, such as Archmage Antonidas shenanigans.

Seems pretty good, will probably see play. Especially if Mountain Giant mages remain common.

That was the point i was trying to make, i really wish i would've left that SMOrc part out!

You enjoy it? Good for you. And yes, I know that Quest Warrior was played during the Un'Goro early Meta. But it was crap.

Also, its an Archetype that they've pushed before. Stolen Goods was MSoG as was I Know a Guy and cards like King's Defender were released in The Grand Tournament. You can go back to 2016 and see Taunt Warrior Decks. And they were shit.

So yeah. It took two OP Legendary Cards to make Taunt Warrior work. So why are they pushing it again?

It would be nice if they came up with something else.

I'm pretty sure Quest warrior was the top quest deck together with rogue. Both were tier 1/2, far from crap.

Thanks mate, i dont rly want to argue with him because hes obviously not aware of 2017 meta but thats fine.

Regarding handbuff mechanic, i think its fine because not every archetype has to be competitiv and moreover, there s probably still a lot of room to explore

Inb4 aggro decks start running 4 silence cards xd

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

I agree with you in that timing of this card against some decks could be key to winning the game.

Hunter can now be finely nuanced and tricky to pilot to it's full potential as opposed to some of the face decks from the past.  That's a good thing :)

You took standard and Arena modes into equation but not wild mode. I see you dont like facing Big Priests?

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

Well, you can  just play Bloodbloom into Mecha'thun, likewise with Time Warp.
But this is a great card, I really like it.

  • Uldum Card Reveals - Diseased Vulture & Neferset Ritualist

    Don't forget Crystallizer

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

Hmm, I honestly forgot about Mecha'thun Druid. I admit this spell has the potential to counter that deck, but if the druid player wants to be safe against the secret, he could include a 0-cost minion and play it on the final turn, so that the weakling could die in favour for the 10-drop. In other words you would do something in the lines of - summon the 0-drop, cast an Innervate/Floop's Glorious Gloop, summon Mecha'thun, cast the second Innervate and finally kill the legendary with Naturalize.

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

Thanks for the headsup, besides a post once in a while i'm not over all the boards so I wouldn't know. Strange how some silly comment triggers some people though. I think the pun overruled my point then sorry guys don't mean to be toxic or anything.

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

Excellent hunter secret, forces combo decks to be careful and could stop lethal without giving your opponent their minion back like with Freezing Trap. 10/10 would Zul'jin agai

  • Uldum Card Reveal - Pressure Plate

I see it as a potential combo breaker. If you expect your oponent to play combo deck, you hold on to it and use it when the time is right. Man, imagine warlock playing Mecha'thun into Bloodbloom. Imagine mage playing Archmage Vargoth into Time Warp.

If you do not think that you face combo deck, just play it whenever you want.

    Me like!

EDIT: After reading other comments here, yes, it is possible to play around it. Now i realise that.

This is not just a new hunter card, this is one of the first 'think before you act' hunter cards. It's all about timing to not become useless in the proces. I like giving the hunters something to think about as they normally think: "SMOrc? SMOrc right? Shall i...SMOrc? Oh, whait i'll just go face then."

Edit: On hearthpwn this comment got downvoted so quickly that it was funny, do any of you see the pun and point in my comment or is it as bad as they think it is? - Point taken, i'll shut it then ^^

The joke wasn’t really funny the first 20 times I saw it, it isn’t that funny here either
