I'm honestly not even sure what Devs are doing with Paladin at this point. Murlocs, one health minions that need support, dragons that aren't playable because Control Paladin isn't really a thing.
Almost like they said, "Here's a bunch of stuff, I hope some of it sticks."
Logging in this morning got me really excited. The site was already progressively getting better and better. It already felt like home when the card reveal countdown came along. I was getting really hyped, and still am, with the site achievements in the making. And now that the notification function is on - making it so much easier to follow any given thread, comments and reply for a given topic - I'm just awestruck by how smooth OOC got. I also really appreciate how it kicked in with some retrospective notifications from earlier comments.
I just wanted to point it out for any other user that haven't noticed yet, but also give you guys some positive feedback ; you are doing an amazing job! Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Out of Cards is THE place to be! <3
Another Anka, the Buried maybe ? I'd like to use Shadowstep on Anka to decrease other deathrattles as well. Infinite nerubian loop. lol.
This.
Unless we're talking about single player content when is this ever going to be a feasible plan? Come on.
If you can actually get off multiple Ankas in a game and not be dead I can imagine a million better plays than playing glorified runner-runner Nerubian Eggs. Please stop being silly.
Thank you for clarifying. I just wanted clarification on how Discover works in this instance cos in-game it says add it to hand. It's kinda sad that I get downvotes just for asking for clarification. Regardless, thank you.
At first, I read Totalitarian Pilgrim and was wondering why on Earth would Blizzard print a card about a fusion of Adolf Hitler and the bassist of Sex Bob-ombs.
What? Holy Smite and Arcane Shot literally have the same text. This is nothing like that. It contains the same text as Shadow Visions, sure, but it has a lot of extremely significant differences. 1) it's a minion. 2) it's 8 mana, and 3) it casts the spell. This is a completely different card with a completely different use case.
Wild Even Shaman: T1 Hero Power, T2 Totem Golem, T3 Hero Power or other totem, T4 Splitting Axe ... voila, Thing from Below already at 0 cost. This can be nuts.
1. This is assuming that all of those totems survive for the first three turns. Good luck with that in wild.
2. Any other time where you don't get this dream curve you're stuck with a 4 mana 3/2 weapon which is pretty terrible for a deck that relies on playing overstatted cards.
3. At turn 4 a 0 mana Thing from Below doesn't win you the game anymore in wild. It's strong, but nothing special. Definitely not worth running two copies of a subpar weapon for.
can we please please please not turn this into hearthpwn?
edit: surely you have done something besides hero power on 2 as a Rogue. Surely you have built a deck to include a bunch of good early game such that you rarely hero power on 2. surely if a 1/2 dagger on 2 is good, coining a 4/2 dagger is also good if not better.
Have you never noticed that Rogue lists typically don't run 2 drops? Sure they may have saps and eviscerates, but on turn two, your proactive plays are dagger up or Coin SI, Cleef, Miscreant, etc. This isn't some weird fluke or coincidence, it's because unlike any other HP, rogue allows you to invest mana on a dead turn to gain tempo in future turns.
If you coin a Scimitar it makes your turn three very unimpressive: at best you play a hench clan thug and attack, but unless that extra 3 damage was relevant you could've just daggered and saved a coin and a card in hand for the same net gain.
Running scimitar makes your hero power less good and conversely having dagger up makes scimitar less relevant. I don't know how to make this any clearer.
It's not that hero power is so much better than a 2-drop in Rogue, it's that Rogue doesn't have good 2-drops.
You do bring an interesting point by comparing it with different other draw tool, mana for mana, which is a really fair comparative. But as for the limited synergy, I tend to conclude that hunter's arsenal goes hand in hand with both hunter's beast pool and secrets, which makes this 3 cards package deal very interesting. RNG may prevent having a truly useful secret, but chances are good for it to nontheless buff Eaglehorn Bow or for Headhunter's Hatchet to trigger (with or without the add of that extra beast). Anyway around, we can all agree that - at least on paper - it has some valuable potential.

There are two rules of thumb with Discover. One of them is that the card Discovered is added to your hand, unless it states that it goes somewhere else. I.E, Servant of Kalimos just says "Discover an Elemental", so it adds the Elemental to your hand, whilst Eternal Servitude says "Summon it" at the end, so it does not. It just goes to the field right away.
Xarkkal, that's a fair point about the highlander decks - given how many good beasts are available, you'd probably have decent odds of triggering it to draw 3, and you might just need it since you'll only have one Tracking and one Hunter's Pack in your deck.
Horus, I know that you're not literally drawing any cards when you play this, but that framing is often a useful way to think about the value of a card that has this kind of card advantage effect. 3 mana is the "best rate" to draw 2 cards (thinking of Arcane Intellect, and 5 mana is the "best rate" for adding three cards to your hand (thinking of cards like Cabalist's Tome and Devour Mind and pre-nerf Nourish), so I agree this card is a lot of value.
That said, the low cost here is probably to offset the lower value of the cards - going back to the other "draw 3" type effects I'm using as examples, in Mage you have lots of synergies with spell casting, in Priest you're getting three cards from your opponent's deck, so synergies are more likely and the power level will be higher than average, and in pre-nerf Druid you'd be getting cards from your deck, which should always be better than random. Headhunter's Hatchet and Eaglehorn Bow both have limited synergies with the other random cards you'll get, but that's about all you'll get from these cards in terms of powerful synergies, and random cards may not play well with your strategy.
guys, please. i don't hate the hunter class objectively. please dont reference things from other irrelevant threads. please don't turn this into a hearthpwn thread. I'm trying to be a better person over here. lets discuss the card. some of us will be wrong, some of us will be right. its okay to speculate and have an opinion. it's not okay to turn this into a pissing match and bait each other into fight. can we please keep it civil and on topic?
Mine was just a joke, don't get it harshly please.
I can see what you are trying to say. Also I agree with you a bit. not completely but it can be an option.
There is not so much weapon removal in hearthstone, it could be an option to have a weapon heavy deck. I'm glad Rogue is getting some more weapons. HP can be good. But not great with Spectral Cutlass for example, even useless.
If you can spend all of your mana (which means you have to have great card draws and enough minions and spells in hand always.) You don't really need to spend your mana to 1/2 weapon because with 4 good weapons in your deck, you ll always be equipped a weapon.
I really didn't understand why the other guys came down on you.

Good card. It looks like Shadow Visions and Tortollan Primalist had a baby Tortollan Pilgrim.
But i am dissapointed why they made this card mage only, I would like it for other classes too. Mind Control could be playable again.

It's like an improved version of spiteful summoner because of the discovers effect. The only negative is it is a bit expensive to use.
