I have a serious question - would there be a difference, if the Murmy had a Deathrattle: Summon a different 1/1 murloc? What's the benefit of giving this minion reborn in comparison to the aforementioned example?
[edit] I think I got my answer - reborn synergy cards. Sooo nvm. Cool and strong card, shame that Possessed Villager gets power creeped with every single expansion.
Obviously the flavor of the set and synergy. They made a new keyword, why create an extra token and do "boring" deathrattle, when they can make a Reborn minion :) And if you meant summon a 1/1 copy of a random murloc, that would be OP as hell for a 1-drop.
Also, about power creep over Possessed Villager, yes and no. Obviously Reborn is not deathrattle, those keywords have different synergy and saying one is better than other might not be true in every situation. On average, they are the same, in reality, they are different enough.
1) Yeah, I meant a plain 1/1 token (not a 1/1 copy of a random murloc or something like that).
2) I see what you mean, but where would deathrattle synergies matter for Possessed Villager? He is too weak to be included in greedy N'Zoth, the Corruptor or Da Undatakah lists. Mid-range lists don't run Tomb Lurker, Spiritsinger Umbra or Baron Rivendare, but even if they did (at least Baron), they would have aimed to trigger stronger deathrattles like Mechanical Whelp's than Possessed Villager's wee token summoning one. The last neutral minion I can think of, that synergises with deathrattles, is the Undertaker, which I doubt has seen competitive play after its nerf in Naxx. And let's not talk about Defias Cleaner.
So normally I would agree with you, that Murmy and Possessed Villager have different effects, but for now they would function the same way, if they were included in zoo decks. Now we just need to see what Reborn minions and synergies SOU would bring to the table, in order to spot the pros and cons of those two keywords.
Does Hunting Party indeed retain discounts when it makes a copy? Is there a way to test that interaction currently? It could definitely make a laughable card interesting!
I love cards that allow you to counter combo decks, but why must they make them class cards? There's been a hole in my heart ever since Dirty Rat rotated out. Oh well, at least they didn't give this to Warlock like literally every other combo disruption card in the meta.
in old gods there is a 5/7 taunt, you cant compare neutral and class card.
he is corporate saying he is exited by this card, it's obiouvsly a bad card, he will never play that in a serious deck even in a quest deck (unless it's very easy to complete the quest).
What cards does Warlock even have that can summon opponents for his opponent?
Also, I personally feel like the reward should be an ongoing affect, like all other rewards have been. Or even going one further, using the Saviors formula and getting a new hero power.
Wild Bloodstinger - 1 - The downside is so minimal because of the high health stat. The chances are good that this trades at least 2 for 1 with the potential for more than that. Late game you could drop this without pulling something from your opponent's hand, completely negating the downside. There will certainly be times when RNGesus frowns upon you and pulls a poison minion but this monster will be well worth drafting.
I like we have kinda very different view of this card :) I guess i didnt count the top deck war scenario where it would be amazing, but the argument about trading 2 for 1 is what i dont consider a factor, cause technically you are trading for 2 cards, yes, but your opponent is not losing tempo for that, since he didnt have to spend mana playing that minion Bloodstinger summoned. Look at it this way, would we draft 6 mana 6/4 Battlecry: Discard a minion from your opponent's hand? Yes, probably. But the chance to summon something like Burly Shovelfist makes me worried and do i really want to test my luck?
I mean this is a card that only playtesting will tell us how good or bad it is. Looking forward testing it :)
A 6/5 taunt is 6 mana. It’s already slightly over statted and it’s a choose one card. Normally that means it’s under statted. Yes, a 6/7 would be unreasonable
Seems to me you didn't even read my comment, seeing as I specifically mentioned Druid of the Claw and Ancient of War by name as examples of what the standard for Druid minions is. To spell it out again in a different way: by the same logic you are applying, a 4/6 Taunt should cost 6 mana because a 3/6 Taunt (Fen Creeper) costs 5. Yet Druid gets Druid of the Claw, a 4/6 Taunt with the added flexibility of having a 4/4 Charge option, all that for 5 mana, i.e. same cost of Fen Creeper. Both sides of that card are either right on cost or undercosted and get the choose one keyword to boot with no additional downside to it.
A Boulderfist Ogre is already a meh card outside of Arena, and the addition of taunt just barely makes it worth being a class-exclusive card, hence a 6/7 Taunt is more than reasonable. A 12 heal for 6 mana is a joke. Druid used to be able to gain 12 armor for 2 mana less in Branching Paths, and that was the weak side of the card. So no, I stand by my comment, both sides of the card are underpowered, and the thing making this potentially playable is the quest and only the quest. Without the quest, both halves are poor. With the quest, it's a juiced up Moonglade Portal, which was borderline playable. The card's power level is intentionally hamstrung because they made the quest. And unless the quest underperforms heavily, this will keep happening for the next year. In fact, I'm changing my mind. Koalabeere was right in the original comment. This card is bad, because you NEED to play the quest and have it completed in order for this to not suck on both ends.
that's some nice stats and it can probably kill something from your opponents hand immediately (most of the times). Sometimes it will backfire, but I think less than 5% of the time.
Is a 2x9 + 2 = 20 dmg combo for 7 mana so with any decent card you can up it to i think max 25dmg in one turn for instance if you have Kill Command and 10 mana available.
On that note maybe making a deck that cheapens all minions is on the horizon like with Helpless Hatchling you can make the combo(s) even bigger.

I can only imagine, in a Hunter vs Hunter game...

What about resummoning all of the minions, but on your side of the board? Also, 10 seems like a lot. Not sure how possible that is for Warlock.

Big Battlecry Beast Hunter? Battlecry doesn't mesh well with Kathrena Winterwisp or Oondasta, unfortunately.

Good Scorpion, the other thing feels a bit too gimmicky. LIke what are you going to use it on? Don't think we can do some King Krush Combos
Maybe some Big Beast Hunter with Oondasta and Warbears could work

Even better than reading these reports is just to play the game :)
Imho, I fell the wild meta didn't change much. And still, aggro decks rule. Period.
I just hope that the new expansion bring some interesting stuff to synergize with wild decks (maybe these new Highlander legendaries?)

Hmm Scarlet Webweaver + The Beast, makes it 1 mana. Then play Hunting Party and combo it with Tundra Rhino.
