OLD TEXT: Give an ally Spellshield this round.
NEW TEXT: Grant an ally +1+1 and Spellshield.
Extra +1/+1 and the effect DOES NOT ends by the end of the turn at burst speed?????
There is no way now to trade into bastion using the same amount of resources. This buff is WAY over the top.
Anything that can abuse Bastion will become a tier 1 deck (Heimerdinger, Taric, Lee Sin).
Bastion needs to be changed to Fast or Slow speed.

Radiant Guardian
POWER: 5 → 4
I don't get this either. The difference between 5->4 attack on curve 5 is HUGE. Its much bigger then they are expecting.
Not only that but there will be times it won't be possible to activate her effect. A vanilla 4/5 that costs 5 mana is terrible.

We wanted to update everyone regarding our new hero skins, particularly Scholar Jaina and Horseman Uther. We are planning to add unique voice lines, start of game voice lines, and a couple other special voice lines to both Scholar Jaina and Horseman Uther in a future patch. We’ve taken feedback on board regarding emotes for those and upcoming hero skins. The next skin, which will be released shortly, has new emotes for all 6 regular board interactions and a few other commonly played lines as well. There will be hero skins in the next expansions associated with their corresponding Book of Heroes chapters that will not have unique lines at launch, but we plan to add them as soon as VO recording allows. Stay tuned for updates here.

Adding context as to how we got here: We started out with the idea of adding skins for our classic heroes that allowed us to get more options for visual customization into the hands of our players at a much quicker than normal pace. We’re confident in the idea behind these skins and they’re already seeing a lot of use within the game. However, we missed here on painting a clear picture of the difference between these skins and the alternate heroes we’ve done in the past, that include all sorts of unique audio and visual effects. That’s something we should have gotten across better and want to ensure that we address in the future.

Welcome to the Tavern Brawls forum!

Tavern Brawls were first introduced in Hearthstone on June 15, 2015 as a way to offer an ever-changing format for players to keep things interesting from week to week. 

The first brawl was "Showdown at Blackrock Mountain"  where players fought each other with pre-made decks as Nefarian and Ragnaros.  Over the years we've seen a lot of different brawls, although some have repeated several times.  The rewards are normally 1 Classic Hearthstone pack for the first win each week, but sometimes they change it up with more recent packs and even unique card backs.

This forum is dedicated to discussing strategy and tips for current brawls.

Anyone played against a really good Lee Sin lately? 22 damage in one turn is kinda ludicrous. Especially considering the protections he has spell shield and deny do an excellent job rending him unmovable. And the card that fills your hands with gems works wonders with him. I’m just not sure how to deal with him Deny and spell shield strong. 

What do you think fellow Hearthstonians?

The only nice thing about it for me is that it's rarer to chain a Celestial into another Celestial......

How in the world is September already over? Jeeze. I was forced to deploy an update out today to hopefully get accepted into the Riot API program for Legends of Runeterra, so there's some stuff in the update that isn't completely finished - touch on that in a moment.

New Features

General

• New account login and registration pages!
• Added member tooltips.
  • The mouseover of any username on the site will now display a special tooltip. (Sorry, mobile)

• Added a card database. (Not fully implemented)
  • I'm only bringing this up because it is linked on the site.
  • Card images are all missing right now (we're working on a generator for them)
  • There also isn't any BBCode for them yet.

• You can now rate card backs!
  • Visit any card back page to give them a rating.

  • We've previously used the guide space for this which in turn flags the deck as having a guide.
  • With the new feature, we'll link to relevant tweets or videos that we can get decks from to share here. These links will display in a special box in the same spot a guide would.
• Staf can now more easily flag pro players.
  • This one is for you, Frosty.

Runeterra

• Deck widgets now display deck copy buttons for easier access.

Bug Fixes

General

• Fixed an issue where New Threads on the game portals sorted incorrectly.
• Report buttons no longer display for logged-out users.

Hearthstone

• Fixed an issue with missing "Hearthstone" breadcrumbs on deck pages.

Runeterra

• Fixed the deck widget caching incorrectly.
• Card detail pages now display their card image when linked on Discord or other social platforms as intended.
• Decks on the deck listings can no longer display more than 4 champions. (Decks may still have more than 4 different champions)

As we know from two weeks ago, they said Petty Officer was on the chopping block. The question is, what will happen to the ugly little guy?

My personal prediction - he now summons a 1/1 Dreg Dredger and you can no longer choose a Powder Keg as an option.

I mean, I'm not complaining, but where is that bonus xp coming from? and how long will it last?

Greetings card fans.

I've been giving HS a bit of a back seat the last 6 months or so. (I got bit tired of climbing ladders and story modes don't interest me in the slightest.) 

So naturally I haven't been following the forums or websites for Hearthstone news.

However, this week i decided I'd log back on to play some strange decks so I came back to OOC looking for some inspiration.

I couldn't help but feel however there seems to be less of a community going on here than when the site first launched? Maybe I've got this all wrong but it feels to me like there aren't tonnes of decks with lots of up votes and comments like back in the hearthpwn days. So I just wandered, is that a thing or am i just looking in the wrong places? 

Did you all move on to bigger and better things? Basically my question is, where are all the OGs at? 

So I've unlocked all of the new champion capsules in all of the region rewards.

Providing me a full set of Taric and Nocturn.

That only leaves a full playset of Sol to grab from weekly's and with gems.

Unfortunately, a lot of these champs are underrepresented in the meta right now.

You are either hardcore aggro or super control, and these match's are decided very quickly.

If I wanted to grind rank I'd just jam pirate aggro with it's insane 59 percent win rate overall.

It has a 70 - 90 percent win rate against all of the control regions in the game so Targon, P and Z, Ionia, Noxious, Freijord

Shadow would be your best bet but it still looses 59 percent of the time.

Hurray, no midrange and no combo decks to speak of, so fun.

It absolutely blows the mind that this region has dodged nerfs this long, and really shows how little the developers play their own game.

You are thinking well they hit war chefs, and Ezreal, but those cards were never the issue.

It has always been the core region cards.

Best 3 drop, and is good at aggro and control plays

best 1 drop in the game

best champ who might as well be bilgewater

So after our beloved lady Jaina, who do you think will be next hero to tell their story? I´ve heard some rumours it will be Hunter - some say it was spoiled by Blizzard themselves in some promotional video. Have any of you heard/saw something regard this?

I´m interested in your thoughts, which hero you´d guess is the next? Or which one you´d love to see/get?

For me, obviously as a Hunter main, I´d love to see Rexxar´s story the most.

why even have the search by region option if it doesn't work? i just want to see freljord decks please

but man is it heavy on the pay to win aspect.

The game is not that old and I am already seeing massive amounts of Net Decks in Ranked mode.

Guess there is no way to stop this part. Other than that, so far one of the card games out there.

As stated in the caption this treat is about (permanent) Spellshield and Hush not targon in general.

Lets start with spellshield. 

Why is spellshield in my oppinion a problem while barrier is perfectly fine?

1. It is permanent

2. there is not a single deck that can afford trading 2 spells for 1 unit (and keep in mind that most LoR spells arent even leathal for units)

3. it protects from global spell effects like ruination 

4. spellshield units are hardly more expansive than non spellshield units

Meanwhile hush is devestating for:

most of the champions

the majority of elusive decks

the majority of buff decks

for frostbite

and in general synergy driven decks

Tell me guys: who enjoys this massive swing from an interactive synergy driven game to a game that is just about denying the opponent the opportunity to play the game?

I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but I was playing a Midrange Treant Druid just now against a type of Resurrect Priest in Wild and experienced a very strange interaction between Treants that had been summoned and died on their side of the board and their spellstone.  They were using the Radiant Elemental and Veilweaver to generate a ton of value similar to a Lyra deck might try to do.  Anyway, they had also played a few thief Priest cards to generate things like Soul of the Forest, and I also played Poison Seeds at one point.

Later, when the opponent played a 3 minion rez Diamond Spellstone I was expecting Radiant, Veilweaver, and a Treant as those are the only three minions that had died on my opponent's side.  Instead he got a Veilweaver and 2x Treants!

I was like, "WTF?!"  My Opponent was also like "WTF?!" and went bottom right to end the match instantly.  But in the few moments I had prior to his concede I realized the two Treants have different watermarks!  One was a Classic set Treant and the other was Naxxramas set Treant!  So despite the same artwork and same name, the game counted them as different minions in regards to the spellstone's mechanic.

Again, is this specific interaction common knowledge?  Does it sound like a potential bug?  Not that I really care as it's just one additional way a Resurrection Priest's game plan can get screwed up, but I am generally interested to hear if others have had similar experiences, or just your thoughts on the interaction.

Did anyone try? I love it. Would not mind if the current ranked mode gets replaced with this one.
