Don't really need to say anything more than what the title says. Mechs are cancer to the game right now and have turned Hearthstone into a single meta (imo).

When I log into Hearthstone, on the Battle Net Site there is a news window: second week of firefestival, new challenges and rewards! Together with last weeks Rafaam picture, as well as an asortement of packs and gold. 

Well, yesterday and today I logged in with an empty quest log, and did not receive any legendary quests. As I didn't find an anoucement for legendary quests anywhere, this should not come as a surprise, but on the Battle Net news thing at least 3 Saviors of Uldum packs were depicted, and now I wonder whether a quest that will grant us this third pack will show up.

Does anybody know something about this? 

The OOC countdown shows a Reno card of some kind being revealed in approx. 6.5 hours. . .

A former main site I'd been visiting for a few years shows, instead, a Sir Finley card coming in 7.5 hours. . .

All else appears the same - alternate realities? Both right?

Alright, there's been a lot of slacking when it comes to site changelogs. I don't have a great excuse, they just take a lot of time to make. Here's everything worth mentioning since the last changelog appeared on July 2.

New Features

  • Completely revamped to work on mobile and desktop just as good! No more weird issues.

• You can now click on a link in the last post column of forum threads to quickly jump to the post.

  • You can now send messages to other members on the site.
  • Access your inbox through the navigation menu where your name is, or click here!
  • If you have an unread private message, a green icon will appear on the navigation bar beside your name.
    • Developer Note: Still investigating a better way to display unread PM counts for mobile users. Stay tuned, friends.
• Deckbuilder
  • Added a dust cost calculation above the card list so you know how wallet-heavy your deck is.

Changes

• Card pages will now always output decks featuring those cards, even if no decks have been recently created with them.
• Forums work better on mobile devices.
• Buttons on the site have been given COLOR. Less grey, more happy faces.
• Saviors of Uldum now has its proper expansion icon.
• Site header has been updated for Saviors of Uldum.
• Your signature, if it exists, will now appear on your edited forum posts. This was a simple display error, it was fixed if your refreshed the page, this now no longer requires a refresh.
• Moved forum threads can now figure out where they moved to and old links will properly redirect.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed multiple issues with the "hotness" of decks being incorrectly calculated for older decks.
• Supporter avatar borders now appear correctly on mobile.
• Fixed an issue preventing us from properly flagging supporter accounts for those that support the site via Twitch.
• Card count in deck on deckbuilder now works correctly for logged out users.
• Flavor Text headers will no longer display on card pages if the card doesn't have flavor text. (Usually tokens, newly revealed cards)
• "Undefined" cards in the deckbuilder will no longer be added to your deck should you click on an empty space.

Upcoming

Achievements are almost here. They're running well in the background right now but we're still finishing up the UI for them and adding more to the site. The plan is to launch achievements with over 250 of them so I hope you're ready! Ideally we can finish this before the end of this week, I'm thinking it is more likely to happen this weekend though or on Monday. We've gone through a few iterations of them internally and are quite happy with what we've achieved.

Notifications are also almost here. These will launch alongside achievements and are currently also working in the background pretty well. We will not be supporting a ton of different types of notifications to start with, but we'll be able to add them in. Currently, you cannot subscribe to threads, decks, and users, all things we want to create down the road to add to the quality of the notifications system. Your feedback once they launch to let us know what kind of notifications you would like to see will help us shape them.

In Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh, there have been banned cards in some formats. My question is, why don't you do that with Hearthstone? We've seen cards deemed as "cancer", such as Baku the Mooneater. There probably is some easy reason to this that someone already answered, but it would seem hella lot easier to just delete the card together, refund the dust, or move it into another format, like a format where every card is available(No, not Wild, we would move Baku OUT of the Wild and into this "fun" format). I am not salty about all these Odd paladins or Odd Rogues, because frankly I believe there will always be a deck everyone hates and right now it's a combination of Odd Paladin and Big Priest. I'm not that miffed by Mage because it's they're turn to shine. So why?

I got this idea from browsing the site looking to get familiar with it. I got to the Cards section and saw the ability to rate cards in Arena, Standard and Wild.

So Card of the Day is exactly what it sounds like, a randomly selected card from a past or current set. It allows us to rate it based on how we feel about it currently or how we felt about it when it was a standard card.

Veteran players will probably appreciate this since it gives us an opportunity to reflect on a past meta. It can simultaneously bring insight to new players on old mechanics or strategies that people used to play with.

Then people could also format their comments to help articulate whether or not they are talking in context of Arena, Standard, or Wild:

Arena: (Card) is good for Warlock because it is a neutral heal card.

Standard: (Card) is good with mech decks because of the multiple synergies.

Wild: (Card) is good because it heals you while simultaneously putting a body on the board.

Quest Mage rises in popularity and becomes another meta-definer (killing the Control side of the spectrum, as if BP wasn't enough). Yet its popularity rises on the very top only at Legend, where the meta is actually not as competitive as it is in previous ranks.

Also, about the age-old rethoric about "Priests in Wild are forced to Big Priest as the only decent deck for the Class, and that's why BP is so popular", well, there's the counter-proof:

I find the fall of Aggro Druid to be the greatest bummer of this report, I didn't expect it at all. It felt so consistent after RoS.

Overall, the meta can arguably be described by the relation: Tempo > Aggro > BP/QM ~ Tempo 

This is not really asking "where do I find the link to view my own decks?"  because I can find that on my own with enough searching.

Why isn't there an easy to find and easily accessible link to view my own decks?  My suggestion would be to put such a link under the "Decks" drop down menu.  

There's a simple 2-turn combo in wild that gets you 2.5k armor.

1) You have in your hand the following: Thaurissan, Linecracker, 2x Bees and 2x Earthen Scales (1 will do too).

2) Play Thaurissan

3) Next turn gain 2563 or 1281 armor by playing Bees into your Linecracker twice followed by Earthen Scales

Knowing blizzard it wouldn't be a surprise this combo would go under their radar as they have already stated that bees works with overkill on own board.

So do they nerf:

A) Before the launch

B) In week or two which would be fair

C) In blizzard way in 2 months

D) Never at all

First I was on the board that they have to nerf it but I quess this is also a OTK even though it's in my opinion fairly easy to pull off against any slower decks. Druid also has quite good survival tools in Wild so they might survive the aggro in good enough percent until they draw the combo.

The deck would even be immune to fatigue with jade idol if some hard control decks would try to outlast it.

I love this new GUI. I was in the middle of using the "old" one and then had to reload the page and magically, there's a top bar menu and everything, along with a drop-down menu for my account.

I read before that they are thinking to bring 1 dalaran heist hero as a card, i was thinking it will be tekhan specially that i remember they gave a hint somewhere.

Just curious about this (to me) unknown interaction:

I just noticed that Shudderwock actually behaves like Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, in that it stops its battlecry to very moment he dies.

Was that always the case? I did not know this interaction!

The game situation in question:

The opponent had a Spider Bomb on board and it was killed by the fourth battlecry. There should've been at least a fifth one (Spellbreaker), although there were no minions on board left bar Shudderwock.

i was wondering if anyone else is working on getting the adventure on both - normal & heroic cleared on a 100% level.

I just finished the normal runs and working atm on the heroic version , it is still fun i have to admit :)

Just wandering why do other people play this format is it because you wanted to try an old deck, found a cool combo, or just started playing as soon as it was released.

For me I started playing Wild during KoTF when the free Death Knight I got was Scourgelord Garrosh and decided to play a Grim Patron deck.

Hi everyone! I've finally decided to return to Hearthstone since over a year and a half. My main motivation was to see if a new player could still do some stuff, but in the end I decided to play on my account that I haven't played Hearthstone on since Karazham. Yes, Karazham, which equals not playing on it for 3 years.

But anyway, I still had quite a lot of cards to work with and over 700 spare dust. I decided to disenchant my golden Ysera (don't ask how it happened xd), craft Shudderwock and eight Jade Golem generating cards. Then I filled the deck with the rest of good stuff that seemed fit. And it went somewhere like 4 wins and 2 losses yesterday.

In the future, I'm considering this deck to be teched around. I thought of soon teching in Mechanical Whelp, Aya Blackpaw and Da Undatakah against classes whose mass removal is still playable even after Loatheb's cost increase, like Druid and Warrior. But for the normal version, I'm thinking of crafting Swampqueen Hagatha.

What do you think of this deck for now?

I really liked the Rise of Mechs event and wanted to try my hand at doing something similar for wild. I looked for cards that needed mana discounts to become viable in wild and I looked for cards that had cool abilities if I made them Battlecry and Deathrattle, instead of just being a battlecry or deathrattle. My hope would be that some tier 4 and 3 decks might make use of these changes, or that entirely new decks might emerge.

I'm curious how much you have/will try to save up for gold with the new expansion, especially now that the adventure is bought with gold.

Personally I'm now at 6350 gold (around 12k dust) and hope to have around 7500 gold when expansion hits. Because I'll most likely buy the expansion that leaves me at just under 50 packs. 

So I probably will just settle with 2/3 legendaries and the need to craft a lot of epics.
