So for warrior so far we've had armagedillo. My theory is that 3 of the remaining 4 will be the 3 creatures we see chasing the heroes in the trailer - so the mummy chasing finley, the tol'vir (possibly tekhan) chasing Elise and the sand worm/corridor creeper chasing reno. Not sure if this has been said before or anything but just thought of it. Any thoughts?

At first I thought this to be a two turn combo, but as it turns out, you can do it in one!


Elise goes infinite with Floop, Floops Gloup, Bees! and Moonfire:

have only those 5 cards in hand, then play elise
your hand is 2x Floop (set to copy elise) 2x Gloup, 2x Bees! and 2x Moonfire

Cast one Moonfire on Elise, then double Gloup and cast Bees! on her.
as a result all 4 bees + elise die, giving you 10 mana back.

from here on out you can cast floop into bees killing floop infinite times, giving you infinite copies of moonfire along the way!

If your opponent has a minion you can kill with 5 dmg, this loop also works with brewmaster instead of floop as brewmaster on elise, then casting her again + bees  = 10mana.

Well I looked at decent aggro cards, and found more than 30, maybe I should include some basic chargers too instead of what I have right now, but here is first try:

Title says everything, I know this is a bit early for this but I'm always a fan of Sir Finley Mrrgglton and always hated dudes on Paladin. Getting Heal, Tank Up! or Soul Tap is a dream for me for a long time and it is now possible, so I'm hyped a bit and my hype gave born of this deck. Dire Shapeshift, Poisoned Daggers or Fireblast Rank 2 could be also good for this deck in my opinion.

I think this Quest if very fun to build around, because you want to include quite a lot of cards that summon minions for your opponent, but then you can potentially steal so much of their minions that they would feel very upset. Prefer brainwashing large minions like Shirvalla or Sylvanas.

Thoughts?

Can somebody go in and change the format for the times to read Days, Hours, Minutes instead of Hours, Minutes, Seconds.  

Would make it easier to follow.

I think Genn and Baku should be mildly nerfed so that they aren't as powerful in the Wild format. I propose that instead of upgrading your Hero Power or making it cost 1 at the beginning of the game, they instead add a Spell to your hand at the start of the game if you meet their requirement (only odd cards or only even cards) that upgrades your Hero Power or makes it cost 1. Depending on how much of a nerf is needed the mana cost of the spell could be higher or lower, but I think making the Genn Spell 1-Mana and the Baku Spell 2-Mana would be fair. This would slow down the early game power of Genn and Baku decks without making them unplayable or messing with their design. What do y'all think about this potential nerf? Do you have any other ideas about how Genn and Baku could be mildly nerfed?

Whenever i want to search a card , and i dont know the name, i am missing the option to choose by give a portion of text on the card,

like in the in game search engine- type taunt- give everything with the text "taunt".

Also, on the previous site it was better, when the full cards were shown with the end results , not just the text of the card name, showing image only when hovering over.

In a way, its working already, but only at the deckbuilder, and it would be great when card searcher would be similar.

Like if you want to theorycraft, but dont want to make a whole deck, its better to use that.

Have you seen others link to cards like Millhouse Manastorm or put their decks in a post but not quite know how to use this yourself? You've come to the right thread! Below i will provide a brief guide on how to use 'BBCode' for yourself. Hope some may find it useful!

What is BBCode?

Bulletin Board Code is a simplified form of 'markup' that is typically used for formatting posts on message boards. In this case, we will be using it to add enhanced card and deck elements to posts, comments, deck guides, signatures & private messages.

It's pretty straightforward:

• Every code has an opening and closing tag. 
• Each tag is includes square brackets [ ] found beside the letter P on your keyboard.
• A tag has one or more parameters inside the brackets to tell it what to do.
• The opening tag will have the main parameter (example: 'card') and in some cases other optional parameters.
• Optional parameters give ways to customize the result in some cases; they are separated from the main one with a space.
• The closing tag will always have a forward slash / followed  by the same main parameter as the opening tag.
• Between the two tags you enter data, whether that be a deck id number or a card name etc.
• When you submit it to the site it then processes it into another form of markup that browsers can understand and display, like HTML.

Note: You must use plain text for these, as things like bolded or italic text will break it. I am intentionally breaking it in this post to show what to type.

Read on for an explanation on how to apply these in your own posts.

Card Tooltips

• Tooltips link to a card and show you the image of it when your cursor hovers over them.
• The name of the card you enter is displayed in a corresponding rarity colour.
• Although they are called 'card' tooltips, they work for any sort of entry in the database like hero powers and bosses as well.
• If there are things with the same name, such as a legendary card and also boss portrait, it will default to one.
• If it does not display what you intended you may have to look up the page with the search function and use the id# instead.

To use a card tooltip, you only need to type the following.

1. Opening tag: [card].
2. The exact name of card OR card ID (found in the card page URL, Millhouse Manastorm is 4047).
3. Closing tag: [/card]

[card]millhouse manastorm[/card] becomes:

Including a second parameter 'gold' with a space will (soon!) load the golden image for the tooltip instead, if available.

Card Images

Very similar to the card tooltips however this tag will result in a clickable image being displayed, rather than just fancy text.

Use the same method as above, instead using [cardimg]name or id [/cardimg] which results in the following:

This is the default size, however you can choose the size for yourself. 

Custom Sizes

To make the image a particular size:

• Following the cardimg parameter add a space and the optional parameter 'size=#'.
• This goes only in the opening tag.
• The # can be anything from 0-400 pixels. This is the width dimension for the image, and it scales accordingly.
• A common custom size to use is 220 as it lets you put 5 cards horizontally: [cardimg size=220]name or id[/cardimg].

Gold Images

You like golden animation? Here's how to display them:

• Following the cardimg parameter add a space and the optional parameter 'gold'.
• This goes only in the opening tag.
• You may also use the size parameter separated by a space.
• Keep in mind that these use more resources to display, so try not to spam them!

Battlegrounds Images

If you want to display the Battlegrounds version of a card, you can do so by using the "bg" attribute on card and cardimg tags.

Let's use Alleycat as an example.

So you've created a deck using our deckbuilder and you'd like to share it with everyone? The solution is simple!

On the page of a deck you will see a button below the user labeled '</> Copy BBCode'. This will copy the code to your clipboard for you to paste, easy!

Optionally you can type the [deck]id[/deck] BBCode with the id being found in the url of the deck page.

Hey I'm Griffior, I've played since Naxx so that automatically gives me the credibility that I know what I'm talking about. I saw the reveal while I was at work and have been trying to figure out where these guys fit in. FYI I'll be calling the SoU Explorers the New Explorers so there's no confusion.

So we're going to look at the cards one by one to kind of figure out where they fit right now, and where they could fit into a future deck..... Even though we only have like what? 15 cards revealed thus far?

Let's start with the Big Boi Reno the Relicologist. So right off the bat we can we can see that it's automatically a move away from Cyclone mage, which is a good thing. That deck is strong enough as it is and doesn't honestly need any more help.... So where else does Reno fit in? So if we look at him, it's 10 damage randomly split among enemy MINIONS. This is obviously in flavor of the "hero coming in and killing the evil Lackeys", it's that obvious. Sure it's good against aggro and maybe some mid-range decks, but on its own, on an empty board, it's just a 6 mana 4/6 that just makes you play a restricted deck. I mean LoE Reno at least healed you if you absolutely had to play him for some tempo, but SoU Reno? Nu-uh. I honestly would have preferred equipping the Gatling-Wand with some random effects associated with whatever color wand was being used that turn. And the Mage quest doesn't really help out either so I only see Reno being played in decks that are already good on their own when there are no duplicates remaining in the deck.

Now onto the most niche of the New Explorers, Elise the Enlightened. As I said, this card is very niche, most likely for some kind of OTK/TTK. But hey, someone already found the niche in which she belongs: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/cey0ht/apm_time/ If anything the only other place I can find a home for her is towards the late game combo'ed with The Forest's Aid. There's also an infinite combo with Barista Lynchen so there could be a possibility for a Fatigue Druid, but with Highlander it would be near impossible to pull off. But I'd like to see it in HS eSports.

Dinotamer Brann makes me scratch my head the most. Objectively, it's more powerful than a vanilla King Krush because of the extra body that is Brann. But again, it's at the cost of not having duplicates in your deck. We saw this effect of a legendary card summoning another, older legendary card with Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk, it's a nice theme but it's starting to seem that they are just recycling older cards instead of actually making new, unique ones. I hope it's a trend that doesn't stick around. I don't know if Mech Hunter could use this, I haven't played it enough to honestly say it can afford to cut duplicates, but hey someone out there will try it. I'm also not sure if any Hunter deck would make the sacrifice of not having duplicates, but only time will tell.

I'm glad they kept the theme of Sir Finley alive with his battlecry, but just like in LoE, his ability is just a polarizing. Sir Finley of the Sands has the potential to high-roll a paladin into an easy victory, or just straight up make it more difficult for either player of the match. It won't be as polarizing as Baku the Mooneater because you actually have to draw AND play him in order to gain the benefit of an upgraded hero power. On top of that it won't always be an upgraded paladin hero power, and depending on the scenario and how the game is going, chances are that the player won't find the hero power they are looking for. Side note: Do we want to play Finley in the same deck as the new Paladin quest? Or are they aiming for two paladin deck archtypes with this expansion?

What leads me to believe that the cards are even more niche than they already are, is that highlander deck format are not getting support outside of the legendary minions themselves: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/ceyyv1/confirmed_by_liv_bredeen_no_other_highlander/ When I look back at Reno Jackson, Kazakus, Inkmaster Solia, Raza the Chained, and Krul the Unshackled, they were all pretty powerful on their own at the time (you couldn't tell because of fucking Jade Druid). The New Explorers (except for Brann, kind of) don't have that big swing of power that the old Highlander cards had. Elise is the only one that could set up a massive combo but it seems so niche and hard to pull off that it's almost not worth it.
