Priest had Dragon Soul which was harder to remove, but Mage has at the moment insane amount of cheap spells (and Sorcerer's Apprentice on top of it), so it can lead to very spectacular turns. I have high hopes towards this card.
Something to consider we have Flamewaker right now and it isn't really good enough. This guy is arguably slower, so not sure if it is worth it... You just lose to a board clear easily, or get rushed by aggro before you go off.
The legendary priest weapon that summons 5/5 dragons is kind of similar to this. However cyclone mage seems like a decent fit for it, so it might be good there

The important thing about Dragon Soul was that it was hard to be removed, even if you deleted all dragons more could be summoned.
But Chenvaala can be removed with the same AoE as the other dragons. I think this is only good against non AoE opponents or when dropping him besides a bunch of spells as soon as possible in the game.
they gonna need more than this to imrpove tempo/ cyclone mage, the archetype is not strong at alla even with flamewaker released the deck its just a huge roulette with no wincon at all. Mage quest is ultra random. Hoping to see better support in the future or ill just stick with big spells mage.
It MAY survive play on curve, but I am not sure. As for late game combos, there are better things to build your deck around, such as big spell mage with the dragon lady that summons 5/5s. It remains to be seen if there will be more support for small mage this expansion.
I don't know how useful it will be in standard. I see it as a mid late game card when you can make your spells cheaper and summon 2 or more elementals. In wild it'll be very powerful.
The 5 health makes it a bit sticky but the 2 attack makes it vulnerable to Zephrys the Great into Shadow Word: Pain, although it it lives you can drop an Sorcerer's Apprentice to go wild. In wild, it's most likely going to act as substitute to a second Flamewaker in Highlander Tempo mage decks. Compare to Flamewaker, it takes more to activate and the effect is slower but more tempo oriented in terms of board presence (6 split damage vs 5/5 dragon)

Will be played around with, but ultimately will be doomed to exists for the meme's.
5/5 is not dat easy to remove in standard. especially if u summon few of those so if u can pull it of it's huge reword. Alost like side quest
sometimes you can't kill Apprentice on 2 turn and it can turn into really big board and full hand for mage on 3
Good cyclone card(?)
Will depend on draw though, as it will be dead if it takes too long to show up after cyclone turns
Too slow. With my luck that'll be my golden legendary then...

Urgh mage has better spells than priests..... but this won't be as good as flamewaker. This will just be slightly better than dragon soul, but just

Too bad this card is only good in cyclone mage..

Pretty spooky small spell Cyclone mage support. So many potential archetypes availble
Priest had Dragon Soul as a 3 mana weapon with the same effect and that card saw no play whatsoever.
I’m pretty sure this card will go through similar fate… Yes, mage can cast tons of spells as of now but ehhh I just don’t see it.
2/5. Has potential but unlikely.
A slightly better Dragon Soul, could find a way in Typhoon mages.
The payoff simply does not seem strong enough for constructed especially for sub-par stats.
