Anyone noticed the typo on the "Rockin' with Rafaam" reward? It says at the bottom: "You finished a run with Raffam". Don't know how to insert a screenshot here but i laughed cause normally i don't notice these thing when i'm just out of bed ^^
Now that we have rafaam... Getting third card is too easy...
So, as i understood, the best hero for this brawl is Dr.Boom?
Definitely. Bombs make this extremely easy. Pick armor buckets so you can continually armor up and make sure to try get your hero power off every turn.
I have had awful luck on the last boss as dr boom.... shuffled in 40ish bombs he was at 8 life... and had 45 cards in his deck, nope i lose. This is how i've lost like my first 5 attempts with dr boom.
The general consensus for winning seems to be "playing small" when it comes to bucket choices. Take lower cost minions/spells so you have more options (especially vs. Garr!) and the ability to consistently start fast. None of the bosses have much in the way of recovery options, so taking the role of beatdown and running away with the game tends to work well.
The Hand of Rafaam is very good. It doesn't seem exciting but if you can get multiple copies your run will be insanely easy (and fast for those golden cards!) so take it every time you see it.
I have had great results with Hagatha's Embrace (passive +1/+1 to a minion in hand each turn), especially in Dr. Boom runs because you want to tap the HP and add bombs so the minions sit in your hand and get buffed. Wondrous Wand is (and always has been) awesome, as well.
you can also complete your daily quests in this tavern brawl which is cool
I picked Dr. Boom and almost lost on the first boss haha but then I picked the armor and bomb packages. Always hero power every turn and you will eventually win. Ragnaros was a rather close call but I got lucky he corrupted his own minions! Took me 28 minutes on my first try to finish it all :)
Got it in 35 flat on my second try. Garr was a nightmare on my first run with Dr. Boom, but the rest of the bosses were relatively easy with Togwaggle. This Brawl is an awful lot of fun, and I'm eagerly awaiting part 2!
Getting two copies of Hand of Rafaam makes for a pretty trivial run. It's a guaranteed 20 or so damage over the first three turns. Then they either lose tempo by tossing the cards or they keep taking huge damage each turn.
this brawl is so much fun!
all the heroes and bosses feel unique, fun, and powerful. I like it how all the bosses are the same each time so you can plan ahead.
this is not only amazing as a brawl, but it is also super fun as single player content.
this is the most fun I have had playing hearthstone in a while. I have beaten about 32 bosses just on the first day.
Managed to do less than 40 mins on NA, EU and Asia. Just choose Boom, shuffle bombs and be careful on Garr :)
I had so much fun with this, well played Blizzard! I won on my first try. 43 minutes but I am happy with it. I had no problem defeating any boss. I got the 3 boom bots reward early in the run and it made all the difference. I created a bomb warrior deck along the way and it did not disappoint. Dr. Boom for the win, boys.
The bosses are incorrect on this page. I never encountered Onyxia in two full runs, instead there is another dragon-like boss, whose name I forgot, who has the hero power for 1 mana to equip a weapon that gains +1 attack whenever your opponent (you) plays a card.
Thanks! Will get that fixed.
Definitely a lot of fun. I haven't beat it with priest yet. That starter deck looks like a fun build-around but can easily get rekt early in runs.
It might be just me, but Gar seems a lot more difficult than any of the other bosses.
Just play as Boom and always pick armor gain or bomb shuffle. I breezed through whilst only having some difficulty with Nefarian.
Warning - the timer doesn't stop if you log off and complete later. So you have to complete the run with no breaks. Seems a shame they haven't simply counted the actual time spent in the brawl. Real life is important too people! :P
Got all the rewards on my first run, in 36 minutes with warrior. Contrary to the Dalaran Heist single player content, bomb warrior actually seems broken, since they´ve made the hero power shuffle two 5-dmg bombs. I chose the 3 boombots as my first treasure and two wands (draw 3, make cost 0) as 2nd and 3rd. I´ve chosen all the bomb packages possible and, when not offered, my second choice was always mech synergy. Latter tonight I might try out all the classes.
Got my ass handed to me by Garr. Going to have to rethink how to play Dr. Boom in this brawl. Very fun, though!
