"I am actually quite nice!"
Relatable, relatable.
RIP Tamsin Roame 🤣 Horde get offered 3 HPs while Alliance get offered 4
Such a weird brawl. I think I was supposed to be getting some story, but on turn 6 my opponent conceded, I guess, during the RP causing it to cut off.
When they do randomized brawls, it should be limited to random class cards in my opinion. I managed to get a Wyrmrest Purifier on 2 one game and it made the brawl way more fun.
Standard pack instead a Year of the Dragon one as reward. Nioce!
Wish that was the standar
Its basically an arena game with duels' hero power. Just drop minions on curve, and try swinging board all day.
And then you realise that this is in fact not a carefully crafted deck you're receiving, but a random one. So the game effectively ends whenever your opponent lucks out a hero card or any must kill card.
Baffling to be honest. And this being a new brawl too.
I guess they made the decks random so the best choice of hero power changes, thereby encouraging players to switch it up and encounter all the different conversations. Random decks always have some volatility, but given the central purpose of the Brawl that is probably out-weighed by the removal of an optimal choice.
I supposed that's true, but they could have at very least remove all the hero cards. Or apply the same logic in arena to this brawl, so swing cards are less of a problem.
I havent seen a Ysera or Sneed so far, but doubtless if I had I would very likely win that game, regardless of the hero power my opponent chose.
Keeping hero cards was a definite oversight given the circumstances, though I'm not too fussed about other big swing cards. It would be an optimisation to remove them, sure, but then someone at their end has to spend time making largely arbitrary decisions and coding it all in. Maybe it's as easy as copying and pasting lists over from Arena, but given Iksar has said they don't really understand how that stuff was managed before the guy doing it left, I somewhat doubt it. Besides, 8+ mana cards still leave time for the conversations to occur, so they don't really mess with the Brawl's premise.
I had Deathstalker Rexxar in my deck and anfter I've played him no one talked again for the rest of the match which is really funny for a story oriented brawl
Is the deck you're given random? It appeared to be that way for me: Harbor Scamp with no Pirates, Crowd Roaster with no Dragons, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius when we're supposed to be listening to Mercenary dialogue...yikes.
It's disappointing because what could have been a celebration of the past Hearthstone Year turns into a mess.
That’s cool! Seems like recycled content from Book of Mercenaries, but also interesting to see how they transformed a single player encounter into a two player brawl
Finally, a new brawl.
Indeed but what an annoying and boring one
