  • Good stats for it's cost, and it basicly has taunt early game. Great card and not incredibly broken like Flamewaker. Helps clear the board and mage has PLENTY of cheap 1 cost spells, or spells that discover those cheap spells. Will see play in control & highlander mage. Maybe also burn/tempo mage so they can take the board in the early game?

  • Slow, but you CAN'T sleep on two Mana Wyrm's. Those little things scale like no tomorrow. Let's not underestimate this card, or it will take a lot of games from you. Will see a lot of play in tempo/burn mage.

  • Seems really good for deathrattle hunter, but we gotta talk about "the elephant in the room".

The discover nerf from quite a while ago. What this means for this card is that you get neutral deathrattle minions at the same rate as class minions. And neutral has a BUNCH of BAD deathrattle minions, like: The Beast, and Rustsworn Cultist. With other studies it's not that bad, however there are waaay more deathrattle minions in neutral, than let's say... spell-damage minions.

Edit: Okay i should have looked better at Rustsworn Cultist, i saw this card when i sorted all the cards in standard on the  "deathrattle" tag, and immediately thought "Oh [Hearthstone Card (Rustsworn Cultrist) Not Found] is a bad card, that's a good example of why there are a lot of bad deathrattles". Probably shouldn't have done a bunch of these card discussions at midnight. Oh well, i suppose i'll take a better look next time. I'm leaving the Rustsworn Cultist part in, because i see this as a good learning lesson.

  • Step 1: Unleash the Hounds.

    Step 2: Overwhelm.

Optional step 3: Ace Hunter Kreen to ensure save trades for the hounds.

This card is really good for control & quest demon hunter. Maybe highlander hunter will also use this in a more mid-range kinda version? Maybe it will just slot in well with the current highlander hunter list, as they like having a way to deal with 2 health minions. Also 1 mana deal 2 damage is solid on it's own.

  • Deadly Shot is now obsolete. This will see play in highlander hunter for sure. They love having multiple ways to remove a minion. Solid card.

  • Lot of stat's for cheap, and it naturally fit's after a turn 2 Pack Tactics. Seems really good for deathrattle hunter. Also this can be looked at as "a egg card that has stat's", and Hunters love egg-like cards. Good synergy with Teron Gorefiend as well, just in case you have a big board. Also if your opponent doesn't deal with it, you can copy this turn 4 with Mok'Nathal Lion to make Mok'Nathal Lion even better. Super solid card for deathrattle hunter. Wish Kripp had better draw during the reveal stream, otherwise we might have be thinking differently about this card.

  • Okay in standard: RIP Scavenger's Ingenuity. (Why didn't they just HOF or nerf Stonetusk Boar instead) Scavenger's Ingenuity into Wolpertinger seems really good. Will see play in some kind of handbuff tempo hunter deck i guess? probably quest hunter as well. Maybe quest hunter will use a handbuff package because of this?

WILD: Well this is terrifying if this get's discovered from Deathstalker Rexxars heropower. Also R.I.P. Alleycat and Tabbycat you two were the cutest, but now replaced by a card that can copy stat buffs. R.I.P.

  • Okay so it has stealth, making it super easy to trigger it's effect at least once. It also get's summoned by Guardian Animals, which gives it rush so you can draw immediately. Needless to say: OP AF. This will see play in EVERY druid deck in standard until it rotates, after which it will still see play in WILD. No joking. This card it NUTS. (Of course unless they print a better version of this card, which we can all agree we don't want to see.)

  • Hunter: Super solid card, also has a lot of synergy with Pack Tactics. This also seems like a good control hunter card? Will probably see a lot of play in OTK Hunter and deathrattle hunter. also because you can discover it from Carrion Studies you WILL see it a lot more frequently.

Druid: As we all saw in the stream, this card is nuts after it get's buffed. Will see play in big spell/Kael'thas Sunstrider Druid. Super solid card.

  • Basicly a reprint of Bolvar Fordragon, BUT WORSE. and people called Bolvar Fordragon to quote: "One of the worst legendary cards ever printed". Also Bolvar Fordragon doesn't see play in ODD Paladin, despite them spamming tokens every turn. so i don't see why zoolock and quest hunter would want it. Also if you want Blood Herald to have the exact amount of hp Bolvar Fordragon you will need to sacrifice 7 minions... Bolvar Fordragon at that point still has +1 atk over Blood Herald. And as someone who actually, without memeing used Bolvar Fordragon. I can say: You generally want to play a card like this when it has around.. 5/6 atk? something like that. In that case you would play Blood Herald as a 5 mana 5/5 or 6/6... that's not that good. You want to play Blood Herald instead as a huuuuge minion. Like 8/8 or 9/9 at least i'm guessing. Otherwise it's just a REALLY BAD investment of your mana.

  • Token synergy, check. Strong stats on it's respective turn, check. it's a demon hunter card, check. Okay i'm pretty sure we just found a strong tempo card that will be hated by people. It still has amazing stats if you play it WITHOUT the outcast effect, so i guess this will see play in pretty much every tempo & token DH deck. Solid card.

  • Amazing DH card. Helps pull off the Outcast effect, and helps thin out their decks faster. But you better hope you don't accidentally pull Skull of Gul'dan with Double Jump too early into the game. Will see play in pretty much every DH deck. This also helps against the "uHh aCtuAlLl this powerfull outcast effect will NEVER go off, because the outcast effect is sometimes too hard to fulfill" argument when people rate outcast cards. So that's nice i guess.

  • So here we have Corridor Creeper reprinted as a DH card, with +1/+1 in stats & taunt. This helps token DH, but i feel like it is also good for control demon hunter. /+Mainly considering the fact that their multiple taunt minions. Maybe we will see control DH also use a token DH package as removal & in order to cast Fel Guardians for cheap?

  • Pretty good for any DH/Hunter deck. Hunters like playing Animal Companion just for the 1/3 chance for Huffer, so i don't see why they won't play Demon Companion for a cheap 2/1 with charge. Solid tempo card that will see plenty of play.

  • Mage : This can discover Astromancer Solarian and Ras Frostwhisper, so it will see A LOT of play in highlander mage, and mainly in burn mage, as they LOVE cheap spells. And they like spell damage minions as well so they can burst even more dmg to the opponents face. Also Primordial Studies can be discovered by cards like Magic Trick. So this will see a lot of use, even if you don't slot it in a deck. Also it will certainly see play in some Casino/Random Mage decks in WILD. (I certainly will. a chance to get multiple Astromancer Solarians is really good/fun!)

Shaman: This can certainly help out the spell-damage shaman archetype. This can discover Squallhunter and Ras Frostwhisper, so that's pretty good. Will certainly see play in spell-damage shaman, and maybe play in highlander shaman?

The bad thing about this card is the Discover Nerf from quite some time ago (Thanks Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and Omega Assembly), in this case it means that neutral spell-damage minions are as likely to show up as class spell-damage minions. This nerfs the card a bit, because there are a lot of bad spell-damage minions, like: Mana Reservoir, Dalaran Mage, Ancient Mage and Ogre Magi. (But of course this also means there is a chance to discover Bloodmage Thalnos as well = more card draw. Also there are not that many spell-damage minions in standard, so this downside isn't THAT bad.)

  • This + Ace Hunter Kreen is really nice for control DH. Will see a lot of play in most DH decks. Good card!

  • In standard this looks decent.. it's basicly a free 5/4. (+4 mana -cost of whatever spell you casted)

In wild: NOOOOOOOO. Kun the Forgotten King and Twig of the World Tree have similar effects, and have always seen play in OTK druid. This deck will also run this so they can do the combo more reliably.

  • So here we have a OTK Hunter enabler. Helps you get out Tundra Rhino for charge. Also strong in some kind of big spell Hunter.

Kael'thas Sunstrider + cheap spells to cheat out Guardian Animals, which summons Tundra Rhino. I don't know what the next step would be, but it can be quit strong. (In wild maybe the "summon all 3 animal companions" card)

  • Insane with Pit Commander and Fel Summoner. This will certainly be used in big/control DH.

  • Nice stats for it's cost, and it's a pretty strong effeect.

Paladin: Great for Libram/buff Paladin. Will see a lot of play. Looking forward to experimenting around with High Abbess Alura already!

Priest: As the reveal showed, it's really risky for priest. It's probably best in a tempo priest deck with a lot of buffs. This is also really good with Gift of Luminance.

well High Abbess Alura, we can say: "We expect great things from you."
