if i remember correctly, Dean said that they "were working on a rogue hero skin", my honest guess is that Dean probably referred to the book of heroes Rogue skin, which will just be another dang Valeera skin... I really hope we will get a new ALTERNATE rogue skin, a.k.a. not Valeera. But seeing how the HS team is handling hero skins right now, my hopes are really low for a good alternate skin with new voice-lines.

the Tortollan Pilgrim nerf destroys an entire archetype, and hits the card SIGNIFICANTLY. Pretty sure most highlander mages might even consider not running it anymore. Highlander mage mainly used this so they can cast a spell twice, but now that use is gone. At least you can still get out Luna's Pocket Galaxy with Tortollan Pilgrim. Sure turtle mage was annoying to play against, and i personally have 0 experience playing the deck, but this nerf seems really harsh to me. Why didn't they lower Tortollan Pilgrims cost by 1 to compensate? Well we will have to see if the cards still any good..
Guardian Animals nerf is VERY justified. huge mana cheating, removal, often draw and/or cleaves with rush. Extremely powerfull card that HAD to be toned down a bit. That being said, i'm glad it's a mana nerf, instead of an effect nerf like Tortollan Pilgrim. Imagine if they changed GA to only draw beasts that cost 4 or less, that would have killed the card. Guardian Animals is still going to be an insane card at 8 mana. This is a great nerf, because now druids can't turn 4 Overgrowth into turn 5 Guardian Animals! This is a flat out 1 additional turn they need to wait to get Guardian Animals out. This mana nerf to Guardian Animals is a huge blow to guardian druid and Malygos druid, but it was necessary, in order to get the game in a more healthy state. There might be new decks that show up now that their biggest weakness got nerfed, just looking at some of the predictions Trump made, this next meta might be a lot more interesting.
However if it's another 'PDF' skin, i'm not buying. Not interested in 'PDF's or recolors. Also now that i'm looking at the skin again, i hope the animation on it is good, otherwise it's ugly AF. Like seriously "horseman"... WHERE IS THE HORSE? I WANT TO SEE THE HORSE! Also the headless horseman is a WOW character called Sir Thomas Thomson, and he was a paladin before dying. So i don't know why they named it horseman Uther... (I highly recommend people to look up Sir Thomas Thomsons lore, it's good but REALLY sad at the same time.)

FINALLY, a REAL event! I'm excited! I'm wondering what they will do this year, and i'm hyped for the announcement video! It's always fun to hear the headless horseman explain the event/rewards in rhymes! Also i guess i gotta start an arena run for some free resources! :)
Also i wouldn't mind them bringing back some old cards again, as long as the duration is only a few weeks, AND they actually bring good, fun and balanced cards back! I would like seeing cards like Zilliax (Unity. Precision. Perfection.), Yogg-Saron, Hope's End (The nerfed version, because standard can't handle his full power.), Hagatha the Witch (Might help shaman in value wars + fits a bit with hallows end theme), Lynessa Sunsorrow (Okay this MIGHT be too much/strong, but would be fun), The Last Kaleidosaur (Fun, and it would fit in libram paladin.. maybe instead of Lynessa Sunsorrow now that i think about it..) or The Boomship (Nice for big warrior). These are just guesses, but i would like to see these in standard play again for like a month at most :)
Last time this weent horribly because it wasn't balanced, and there were no tweaks/balance changes. Also the selected cards were way too strong overall. (Except poor warlock, which pretty much got only Renounce Darkness) As long as they would balance it, if they were to do this again, it would be fine. Also i'm pretty sure they made standard unplayable so people would play battlegrounds instead, which released around then.... WAIT A SECOND.. making standard unplayable so people play a newly released gamemode.... were still getting a new gamemode... oh no..

I rather spend 1000 gold on packs, or saving it for next expansion, than gambling it on this thing. (or spend it on... the arena *shudders*) The average player gets around 3 wins in this, so it's a HUGE waste of gold. The only players that can truly benefit from this are either: 1: EXTREMELY lucky/RNGesus himself, or 2: HIGH Legend players, like top 100, or 3: Professional HS players that go to tournaments like Firebat, Thijs & Hunterace. I'm not "angry" because there is no free ticket, as that only happened once before. But i still feel a bit... disappointed as this was the only real way to earn some kind of reward this event. And because this is the tavern brawl, were losing out on one of the weekly free packs.
When are we getting a REAL event? Like "get gold & dust as quest rewards" (60 gold quest gives 60 gold & 60 Dust), increased amount of gold from quests, that new gamemode that was teased in the 2020 road map (i really hope that wasn't just Book of Heroes), specials tavern brawls + lot's of rewards (Doom in the Tomb, Etc.), or something else that's big like buffs to some bad cards/archetypes? The only thing we got without having to pay lots of money, or gold is 40 dust 1 free mage pack... Heck, even the new battlegrounds heroes were locked behind the battlegrounds perks 2000 gold paywall.
Now that i think about it, it almost feels like the mage pack from book of heroes was rather some kind of compensation for the loss of a classic pack because of the heroic brawliseum...

Me, while playing battlegrounds: "Ooh 3 Micro Mummys! Good thing the bug is fixed, so now i can actually triple it without crashing! I'm pretty much guaranteed 2-3th right now, because i got blessed with good mechs and i have been on a 10 win streak so far!
Hearthstone: "I'm about to end this mans whole carrier"
*Game crashes, and i can't get back in*
(But tbh why didn't they test to see if the bug is ACTUALLY fixed, just to make sure? Or did the bug like show up again AFTER the tests? That would be really strange. There are already minions with reborn in BG, so that can't be it... anyways weird that a 160 mb patch didn't fix it..)

I had a lot of questions about battle pass, but from the information we get, i feel a lot more reassured that it's not going to reduce my gold/packs income. I still have some questions about how EXP is going be calculated. Does going on a win stream with the same deck reduce exp gain? And is using a meme/inconsistant deck going to give you more EXP? Let's hope were going to get answers to questions like these

My guesses for nerfs in the future:
Kael'thas Sunstrider: This comes out way too early i.m.o. Turn 7-8 shouldn't be the "okay now you get OTK'd" turn. Or even earlier if you ramp with druid. My guess is that it will go either from "Every thirth spell you cast each turn costs 0" to "Every fourth spell you cast each turn costs 0" or to "Every thirth spell you cast each turn costs 1". The last one seems the most likely as other cards like the Rogue Galakrond have seen similar changes.
Lightning Bloom: If they don't nerf [Hearthstone Card (Keal'Thas Sunstrider) Not Found], it will be this card. Sure the overload 2 effect kinda balances it, but if combined with lots of ramp, you basicly negate the downside and make it a better Innervate. (Or just OP pre-nerf Innervate). In Shaman this card is also a bit high rolly, but i haven't seen shaman really abuse it that much.
Secret Passage: "1 mana draw 5!!1!1!". Okay i feel like a few ways blizz could nerf this card: #1: Increase it's cost to 2. Still really strong at 2 mana. OR #2: when your hand get's replaced, it will still count as "in hand". This nerf shuts down Mecha'thun rogue in wild, which can do their combo fairly early, because of Myra's Unstable Element and [Hearthstone Card (Ankha The buried) Not Found]. (and of course good draw) The most likely nerf i.m.o. is the "Nerf to 2 mana", because it will make this card a bit harder to use alongside cards like Eviscerate, and it slows down aggro.
Raise Dead: This card feels kinda bad to play against. Sure you "pay" for it with 3 health, but that's often A BENEFIT to both Priest and warlock. Priests want self damage for quest, and suicide warlock is a thing with cards like Darkglare and Flesh Giant. I wouldn't be surpriced if this cards cost will be increased to 1 mana.
Last but not least: Mindrender Illucia: This card just completely shuts down all the OTK decks, and it carries Raza/highlander/Galakrond priest over the top. And OTK was the main/best way to deal with these decks before. My guess for a nerf would be the "typical HS Team": "Cost increased by 1" nerf. They LOVE nerfing cards by increasing their cost by 1, but in this case it's a bit better. This nerf would make it so that these priests can't play 8+ cost cards like Kael'thas Sunstrider or Archmage Antonidas on turn 10+. (of course they can still disrupt your combo-pieces still, but at least they can't take the centerpiece of your combo.) Another nerf is: (And i know this will never happen, but i wish it would) Mindrender Illucia Removed from the Galakrond hero power. Just so priests can't get multiple of them.
It literally nerfed only Nature Studies out of all studies, because rest are not even in their own discover pull to begin with...
I meant that cards like Demonic Studies would be better if the "Discover cards have a equal chance to discover a class & neutral card" nerf was reverted, causing cards like Demonic Studies to again have a higher chance to discover warlock demons, instead of horrible neutral ones. I in no way shape or form said/implied that studies like Demonic Studies can discover itself, of course with the exception of Nature Studies, which now can't discover itself anymore (thankfully, i hate that card/deck so much.)
But now that i read my comment again, i might see why some might be confused at which discover nerf i revered to. I'll fix it right away for more clarity. Also to note: i honestly think this new nerf to discover is really good for the game.

Another Discover Nerf? Last time discover was nerfed to make it so neutral & class minions/spells have an equal chance to get discovered, and now a lot of stuff cant discover itself. I like this change because this means less BS "Evocation discovered Evocation", "Emerald Explorer discovered Emerald Explorer, or worst of all: "Renew into like 5 more Renew" kinda things, BUT i feel like discover has been nerfed... a bit too much i.m.o.
I wouldn't mind seeing the "Class & Neutral cards have equal chance to be discovered" nerf reverted, as this nerf was only here because Control Warrior was abusing the heck out of it last year. (Thanks Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and Omega Assembly.) Also a LOT of new discover cards (Mainly Studies like Demonic Studies) are TERRIBLE because of that *OLD* discover nerf from last year, while they would honestly feel fair without it.

Old Equality and Whirlwind in 1. Insane VALUE and it's a great minion for both classes. Both warrior and Paladin needed some huge board clear and Lord Barov is here to help these classes out. This will see a LOT of play in control warrior & libram/control Paladin.

Good for stealth rogue. Gives a lot of consistancy for Greyheart Sage and it can help you make trades easier without the fear of running out of stealth minions. Will certainly see experimentation at the very least!

Just a arena card. The only other time this might see play is in WILD Fire Plume's Heart Warrior (Even costed, so not the ODD version), they will probably play this because their 2 taunts in 1. And the deathrattle gives a taunt to your hand, unlike Direhorn Hatchling which shuffles it into your deck.

WAY to SLOW. decent stat's but this card is REALLY situational. It's basicly just a win-more kinda card you play when ahead on board. So why not play a different card instead that can actually close out the game? Also turn 5 is around the time where the big single target removals come out like Assassinate, Siphon Soul and other spells. That means this will just be a 5 mana 2/2 with taunt. Horrible value and just a waste of mana.

Great 1 drop. Will certainly see play in a bunch of aggro decks. Does the +2 atk stay? if so then it's REALLY good. If not then that's okay, it's still a big burst of damage. Will see plenty of play.

The ONLY murloc in this expansion, if i'm right. That's surprising honestly! i like it's effect, but i feel like it's a bit too expansive. Probably just a arena card, unless your DESPERATE for rush minions.

This new tribe looks really good! Very unique play-style with the constant buying/selling of elementals. Seems really fun.
