Thekal will probably be fine, it's not like everyone is going to run this.
Not even good against aggro because if you're playing control you need your opponent to run out of cards ASAP.

Dragon Handlock seems to be coming together, wish there was some more healing though.
Getting a 7/7 or 8/8 taunt on turn 6 would be pretty strong, right? I could imagine this seeing play, it allows handlock to put on pressure a little more consistently at least.
