I didn't mention this in the guide because i thought it went without saying, but i figured i'd say it now.
Undatakah, sunfury protector, should be the last 2 cards you play in a matchup, just because you get the combo pieces played early in a game and have the combo in your hand at turn 10 doesn't mean you should play it, your opponent won't know they'll need to save a hex or a poly or a silence for you, unless you play it early. try to bait out those removal cards before you combo, if that means playing your prelate a 2nd time and sound the belling it, go for it.
I'm a firm believer in "Legendaries don't really matter for deckbuilding" thekal i believe isn't an auto include in this deck, i like him because having the ability to heal early with kangor flash if you have that in hand early or just having a 3 mana 3/4 in play most of the time is good but he's not really needed, if you replace him i'd recommend someone of the same mana cost, maybe a taunt or something, but i think kangor is pretty great in this deck and any control paladin, having the ability to double healing from shirvallah or flash of light or even just throwing him out as a major threat of you healing next turn after you buff him to your opponent, is really strong, but if you don't plan on playing control pally in the future same as thekal replace him with something else low in curve, maybe a rebuke.
I genuinely feel like lackey shit is worse than pirate warrior AND prince keleseth....
With pirate warrior if you're not dead by turn 6-7 they're out of steam and they just concede because they can't win anymore most of the time, with prince keleseth they don't get to play any two drops, and if you beat them on board and they run out of shit to contest you can win, but with lackey shit it's just infinite minion generation that fills their board and buffs the minnions, and if you clear their board they can just infinitely generate another one, with like 3 cards. and the draw is consistent unlike kelly or pirate warrior where sometimes your pirate warrior would have a hand full of all weapons and you'd win just because their hand is TRASH or your opponent doesn't draw kelly and their minions aren't OP because they don't have the +1/+1.
That and it combines two things i hate, cards you just autofill into a deck without thinking and then fill out the rest of the deck(think of druid in kobolds and catacombs where you put in the OP druid cards and just filter out a win condition into the deck), and cards you can just play out without using your brain.
"Just play mossy horror" Two things, they buff the 1/1s so they're out of range, and if you're waiting for a clear by turn six you're already dead.
"Play warrior with warpath" 2 dmg aoe on turn 4 gets shit on by the new lackey that buffs health and doesn't do anything about the lackeys that deal damage on the turn they are played at all, such as kobold lackey, or the +dmg rush lackey or the lackey that summons a 2 drop that will have more than 2 health guaranteed. Lots of warrior cards are good against lackeys such as the 3/4 that spreads 5 dmg out, and that is why all these cancerous people are screaming to delete warrior from the game.
"Play dragonmaw scorcher" Same thing as mossy except it's one turn faster and they usually buff the health of their shit and even if they don't, they can just make a new board right after and your shitty 3/5 won't contest for shit.
If you enjoy playing lackey shit fine, you didn't implement this shitty system in the game you're just abusing it, because it's broken. But i will rope you every single turn, if you queue into me in casual mode for it, because it doesn't take skill it doesn't take finesse it doesn't take a brain, you just play shit and play shit, and play shit, and it always refills your hand so you can keep playing more shit. Congratulations that's what hearthstone is now, and play shit simulator. What does this card say? Who cares just play it if it glows in your hand.
I don't know what server you guys queue into where you only queue into control decks, but it's not the one i play in, i have faced nothing but rogues and mages for three days. Only playing aggro, all netdecked shit. Tell me what server you play on because i want to be there.
Now your deck is looking more and more like the Whizbang highlander recipe plus Undatakah. ;-) I play that sometimes; it actually can be surprisingly effective; only has a 47% win rate on HsReplay, though.
For the sake of completeness, here are a few differences between that deck and this which you might want to consider:
(and of course -your Undatakah package which I assume you want to keep)
Please note that these are just the differences I see; I can't really say they're improvements. For example, Scorcher seems really meh on paper, but in practice I've had a couple of games when its been a clutch tempo play they also cleans up lackeys / reborns / Sn1P-Sn4P / etc. MCT sounds great on paper, but most of the time I just tempo that out for a 3/3 body. Also I'm not sure how any of this would effect your Undatakah package--for example, I think Khartut is overall superior to Applebaum, but then you're either holding off on any other deathrattles until you play prelate + undatakah once or you're rolling the dice. Which maybe is OK?
Or conversely, if you want to play into the UT package harder: maybe you want to add in Crystology + 1 Bronze Gatekeeper to help draw out the prelate more consistently, and maybe 1-2 Annoy-o-Module and maybe even a Kangor's Endless Army to help stall out the game until you find your full combo?
Whatever you do: best of luck. I love it when people try to homebrew off-meta decks.
I actually tried out a lot of these cards with varying results aldor most of the time is pretty disheartening when you're playing against mages with conjurer's calling and rogues with shadowstep 80% of the time even in casual mode, khartut defender is good, but i've literally lost games by only having the 3 heal from it's deathrattle instead of the 4 of applebaum which is also cheaper and has better stats on the turn it's played on(not counting the reborn), that and a 5 mana minion is better against the sap class than a 6 mana one IMO, Siamat i think is a massive meme and 100% overrated, if you think the card is good i won't argue too hard against you, but i'm not crafting it. ashmore i considered for draw, but i didn't want to craft something just for a meme deck tyrion is a card that conflicts with the combo and since you need the AOE or the heal as often as possible i ruled it out. might try glowstone technician didn't think about that one, but i feel it would be too inconsistent in a highlander deck, maybe if i go full control and kick out the highlander garbage. dragonmaw scorcher i also considered instead of subdue just like aldor, but i figured if you are waiting until turn 5 to play an aoe against lackey shit you're already dead, chief inspector i admit is a bad card in this deck, but i don't like secrets so if you want to kick it out i agree but i'm keeping it. rabble bouncer is VERY good against rogues that have full boards on turn 2 and 3, i'd play more than one if i wanted zephrys to actually work as intended in this deck(an extra board clear), nozari is a rare case where you wouldn't think it's good in any deck unless you've actually played it yourself, VERY often your overconfident opponent will leave you at 5 or less health and won't stop spamming emotes and then you play nozari and they shut right up, this is a VERY good card in a control deck in my opinion.
I have been tinkering with a non-highlander version of this deck that rushes to fatigue that i gutted a bazookadin deck i had already to make but it's not deadman's hand warrior, you will take fatigue with it and if you're playing against rogues 100% of the time and you're as unlucky as i am, you'll get the combo off perfectly but they'll just ignore it(even if you bait out all their saps beforehand) and play research project making you fatigue and die. Which has happened to me too many times to count.
So in essence none of these changes to cards even matter because the deck is just bad, there are no early board clears in paladin anymore with the nerf to equality(WHEN IT WAS PLAYED IN AN AGGRO DECK!!) so it's really dumb to play control paladin right now. But like i said i got to meme on some assholes playing aggro in casual mode with it and that's all hearthstone is right now, you struggling to have fun in a game where everyone is playing aggro...
That's all i found, there was this other freeze effect stuff from a chinese site i didn't bother linking because it was blocked by a watermark, it's not hard to find on google images if you're really interested in it but trust me it's a dead end, i only looked up the freeze effect because i assumed it would be the easiest to track down, the cursed blade one looks really simple to duplicate if you own photoshop and the shadowform one went nowhere when i checked it out, I say good luck.
Learn to love the rope lackey shit rogue player, if you wanted a quick game with your shitty aggro deck you should have played ladder instead of casual mode
Hey Kal here's the replay if you ever want to revisit XD
I don't play warlock, i just saw a card that would be really useful in the current meta and made an argument for it, in an effort to start a conversation, believe it or not this isn't a salt thread V2 no matter how much i hate lackey shit.
I was thinking today about the thing i hate most in hearthstone right now, lackey shit in every single deck on ladder and in casual mode, and it really got my gnoggin gjoggin. Warlock would be in a better place if defile was still in standard. It feels really bad to have to hellfire a board of 1/1s that the opponent can easily reproduce next turn due do the cancerous nature of lackey shit generating more and more lackey shit, and screeching a board of it, while discarding a card, just for them to repopulate the next turn is probably even worse. Idk, what cards do you think they should consider adding to the classic set?
This is an old version that i made on here for theory craft, when i actually got into the game i played this version:
Deck ID Not Found
Pretty bad but i beat some matchups that i didn't think i'd be able to win and i meme'd on a couple mages and rogues and that's what hearthstone is right now.
Now to actually get to your comment. I saw a couple lists playing the lifesteal and i reasoned i either didn't have time to play it since i was always playing from behind or saw that other cards i needed were better, in some matchups the lifesteal would have been great, but most of the time i wouldn't have something to apply it on. You don't want to play the prelate several times because it lessens the chance you get the AOE or the heal from the deathrattles, and when you're playing against lackeyshit and infinite giants, the heal is nice but having more aoe is better.
out of the 12 games i played with this deck i won 5 games and lost 7
Seriously? this is just a theory craft, i made it on here and didn't even play this version myself in game lmao, i know it says ranked up there, but you shouldn't put that much faith in decks with no descriptions

I made a singleton paladin control/combo deck that works pretty well check it out if you've got the cards for it.
midrange and tempo are aggro -_-
All aggro, except one.
Not even warrior isn't aggro....
If you have changes i'd love to hear them!
Cute <3

My favorite moment in ul'dum was wasting the time of the people that play netdecked lacky shit in casual mode by roping them every single turn.

I really hope that the last expansion this year is blackrock mountain, people meme all the time that: "ItS ThE yEaR oF dRaGoN wHeRe ArE DuH dRaGoNs"
And i know that's just the theme and not the actually roadmap or promise of the expansions but i hope we get dragons.

in a world where literally every meta deck is aggro currently, people still want warrior deleted from the game. unbelievable.
Googled for a bit because i was interested and came up with mostly nothing i found these:
this was from a frozen throne reddit post about hero powers https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/6ltdnt/kft_bosses_hero_powers_images/
