I remember reading that all these core cards are considered separate (which is why dusting cards is not a good idea) while the 'real' cards gets booted to wild.
So its entirely possible to have three versions of the same card.
Ironically king krush himself is still in standard when he's being completely objectively outclassed in every way by Alexstrasza and Illidari Inquisitor
That beast tag must be really carrying it for poor old king krush.
The fact that it has rush means you're nearly always guaranteed to hit face for 8 assuming you have a weapon equipped. Also a major soft taunt that practically wins the game if left alive for a turn.
Will this ever see play though? Well, it depends whether dealing 8 damage to the board and then 8 damage to face is well worth it on turn 8. And to think we once thought Ragnaros the Firelord was broken as hell.
Small point: This thing practically destroys arena single handedly.
I cannot for the life of me understand why team5 had to print this card with rush when it practically can already attack the same turn its played. At least we know for sure this is one card that will never survive its first turn without your opponent conceding.
Its only permanent assuming you'd continuously have minions in your deck, something which mage often dont do well with. The fact that this card is only useful when there are good spells in your deck limits the usefulness of that permanence.
Also, the fact that most of mage's good spells are now kaput, its really all down to the expansions to make up for it. I'd still prefer antonidas to be honest.
And much like king krush, she's only ever going to see play if you can cheat mana. That's not to say shes bad. I still think Ysera is a better card in nearly any circumstances except when your opponent has only 8 health.
Of all the new cards, outside of the dragons, its clear that paladin and hunter are getting some push. Dire Frenzy back in standard and Selective Breeder to draw those cards is support enough for beast hunter, just one other draw option will seal the deal.
Dude paladin getting some major buffs, and that new secret Reckoning is so good in so many ways, especially given that its just 1 mana and in many cases practically impossible to avoid having a prime target drop dead after attacking.
Priest cards, well, are underwhelming. No more Shadow Madness, no more Thoughtsteal, two of the better priest cards. No more mass dispel either, which may or may not be a good thing. Shadow form now being 2 mana means its a viable option though, and perhaps good enough for tempo priest to make an entry into the upper meta.
Jaraxxus being a hero card is ironically removing that one setup he has with Demonic Studies and renders him completely unable to hp on the same turn without coin. Can't even cheat him out with stuff like Deck of Chaos anymore. But the fact that he now gains you a net of 5 health may make up for it, but I can't help feeling that he'll almost never see play unless team5 creates some form of a setup for him.
Edit: Just realised that mage got screwed. No more Frostbolt, Frost Nova, and Pyroblast. So its tempo or bust now. Those expansions got plenty of work to do since mage is utterly useless now without hefty support.
By removing Classic set, they automatically trashing a great deal of time (and some money) I had collecting all those cards. And I can't push this enough, that every player should be compensated for that (or at least get the same amount of dusts for all those cards). And I don't think I'm asking a lot, because getting a fourth (1/4) of dust from a set that's been around for years is inadequate.
EDIT. Turns out, the dust gain is even less than a 1/4, since all Common is valued at 1/8, and Rares at 1/5.
You're compensated by having both your old cards (which you can dust) and getting the new core set for free.
When we made the decision to purchase at a point of time, and that product later gets discounted or retired, I don't think its even remotely logical to then demand for compensation, especially since we're talking about products that have existed way beyond 1 year.
I think DapperDog made a better deck, however that it still isn't perfect imo. What is the goal of Arbor Up in the deck? Is to an Anubisath Defender trigger? I'd personally put at least one more dragon into the deck, and this seems to be the perfect card to cut.
More dragons means more stuff to dump before pulling your Vol'jin combo. I initially experimented with Alex and Ysera but then later found out that after something like overflow I got stuck with too many minions in my hand. I intentionally left breath of dreams there because of the draw over, say, wild growth. Ramp is important, but in this deck its less important than draw.
Arbor up is a nice card that gives you board, and it triggers anubisath defender, which is another plus. Its also somewhat of a secondary win condition, since you can easily get umbral owl and multiple 0 mana minions (assuming you'd get it off resizing pouch, because its aggro) to make up a nice little board out of nowhere. My list can be considered 'combo' not strictly OTK. You can easily switch win conditions depending on the matchup. How you choose to use resizing pouch is the real deal here.
If you don't like arbor up, then I'd recommend replacing it with 1x germinate and 1x forest warden omu, to make it a genuine OTK or bust druid. Just try it. Arbor up is not too bad a card even in decks like this.
Curious that your list does not run Swipe and instead runs Starfall. I personally think swipe is better, and it does well with malygos more so than starfall.
Nourish and overgrowth is honestly to me a little too much. You almost never ramp with nourish since its almost always too little too late. Also, your list is very heavy and cycles too slowly for a combo deck. I'd remove the winged guardian, circus amalgam, and bone wraith for rising winds, 1x overflow, and anubisath defender.
Finally, I'd recommend you make some room for Resizing Pouch. This card doesn't get much love but if you play this with 0 mana remaining you'd get a chance at moonfire, lightning bloom, and innervate. All three options are very good in this deck. You can even dump that wisp, since this card almost always grant you either the three above or a 0 mana minion (theres two of them in standard, so its not too bad a chance)
Edit: Okay, so you inspired me to take up one of my older ideas and jump start it back to life with Vol'jin.
Probably set your health to 15, with the added 5 armor, and remove away the blood fury weapon. All else stays. That's not anywhere near broken considering that you can't hp on the same turn without setup or coin. So its basically a legit end game win condition now.
Or perhaps they just change his hp into something weaker, like put a 2 mana 6/6 infernal in your hand. Wonder if the core set will be revealed within the next 2 weeks since the reveal season for barrens would be on then, and there's no need to double up on the card reveals.
Only 80k for the new cinematic trailer vs 2 million for Darkmoon? Did the Rewards Track fiasco scare that much hype away?
Its unsurprising that the darkmoon annoucement had one of the largest viewership around. If Im not mistaken it gifted packs for watching, and then there's the fact that it also features the first ever announcement of the new reward track that was basically buzzing around in the community for 2 months. So it makes sense that darkmoon got more viewers, if only because of the free packs.
It could have been "summon a 3/1 beaten corpse that attacks your opponent's face and then dies. Horribly".
Jokes aside, while Im not exactly completely apathetic about life in general, I tend to think of this card the same way I would think of Sneaky Delinquent or Fishy Flyer. Its not like hearthstone has ever shy away from darker themes, and I think its preferable to have a wider variety of flavor than the usual bland triple A tripe we see in everyday entertainment.
But ultimately as have been pointed out by Koetti, its basically just a reference to an old WoW questline.
That's Coilfang Warlord with a condition, DH already has this OP card but plays aggro. Being a druid card make it more consistent, especially a beast who can be summoned by Guardian Animals or copied with Shan'do Wildclaw. I bet this year druid will receive a lot of beast synergy since they already announced Menagerie Warden would be in the classic set for the year of the griffin.
This can't be summoned by Guardian Animals, which only summons beasts that cost 5 or less.
Its a cycle for 2, which means its technically outclassed by Loot Hoarders and its ilk. But being a spell, and having synergies with Nazmani Bloodweaver and Palm Reading, and the fact that this isn't a minion (which means it wont stuff your Raise Dead), this card is deceptively powerful. A great support card for miracle priest, or in fact any priest that cycles their spells alot.
Technically you can tutor mankrik's wife out on turn 4 with this, but Im pretty sure that's not the true intention of this card.
I remember reading that all these core cards are considered separate (which is why dusting cards is not a good idea) while the 'real' cards gets booted to wild.

Yeah, its mind boggling why they give mage a legendary like that and then proceed to remove all viable options to make use of that spell damage.
Ironically king krush himself is still in standard when he's being completely objectively outclassed in every way by Alexstrasza and Illidari Inquisitor
That beast tag must be really carrying it for poor old king krush.
Its basically a very powerful card on its own with some combo potential with Raging Felscreamer and Soul Split
The fact that it has rush means you're nearly always guaranteed to hit face for 8 assuming you have a weapon equipped. Also a major soft taunt that practically wins the game if left alive for a turn.

Its not pyro, its King Krush.

Probably going to be revealed in the next few hours. 200 over cards revealed in a day? because why not.
I guess so. Because if this article didn't mention it, I wouldn't even know we're talking about someone from the middle east.

A better Grimestreet Enforcer but that card has always been too slow and Im hard pressed to see this card as anything else.
Once a while it lets you dream of the greatest possibilities that in practice will almost always fall flat on the ground.
Slight disruption tech but ultimately just not good enough. Moving on.
