  • Well, that's basically confirming rogue's legendary, and a fitting one too.

It has good applications, but I'm afraid its always going to be on the fringes. Its just simply not possible for a card to see inclusion into a deck that only sometimes do good stuff. But if shadowstep makes the cut in standard then that would explain why this card is on first sight sems so underwhelming.

  • Not sure about it but its not completely trash. Its a good 3/2 for 1 on turn 1 but It cripples your 2 mana slot, unlike Sludge Slurper which at least gives you an option for turn 2. And in other decks with Landslide its basically 3 mana deal 4 damage to your opponent's board.

  • Better than the original. But not by much. It still discards your cards, so there's still a give and take which makes this not top of the world. But at the end of the day, its still a 12/12 swing card. And that has to be respected if nothing else.

  • Its draws you all the spells you need. That's strong, but unfortunately, its still a 9 mana do nothing most of the time. But there's still more cards to come so there's always hope this one will surpass its predecessor.

  • It looks decent, but its probably still arena fodder. No one would include a 2 mana 2/3 that only sometimes have an effect.

Too bad frenzy doesn't trigger more than once, otherwise this would be a legit threat. Oh well.

  • Its basically a rush minion which allows your opponent to sometimes decide for it.

Is a 5 mana 5/6 rush good? Probably not in standard. Unfortunately, since frenzy doesn't trigger more than once, I'm hard pressed to see this as anything else other than arena fodder.

  • There's some kind of inner fire priest potential with this card.

Pretty certain that the description allows her to buff herself when you play holy spells.

  • The effect, if im not mistaken, is to send his wife into your deck, which on drawing, cast a 3/10 mankrik to kick the opponent's face immediately.

Not bad, but not really that good neither unless you draw this immediately in the next 2-3 turns. Still, a 10 health mankrik is not an easy nut to crack and mankrik himself starts as a 3/4 for 3, which is already at least a decent card.

  • If you can somehow buff this then this card is straightup insane. But that's probably the biggest problem with this card. The two classes that can easily buff its attack, warrior and paladin, already have another swing option in Lord Barov, so the only other class that can reasonably do it is rogue with Cold Blood.

Not sure if this will ever take the meta by storm. Probably not. But I'm fairly certain team5 wouldn't just print cards like this without some kind of support card for it, so I'm on the fence with this one.

  • A strong tech card. And perhaps in time it will prove too strong. Most decks would want this if only because its basically a better silence card, or a backup removal option. In some cases, it even enables a second battlecry. The possibilities are endless.

  • Probably not good. No control deck wants this, so the upgrade is pretty moot. Its viability is solely then on the fact that its a fel spell, and even then Im sure there's simply better spells. If only it made void walkers instead of flame imps, then we're talking some real value. But as it stands, its just not up to par.

  • It has potential certainly. Combined with Imprisoned Phoenix, this is just a 2 mana remove 2 minions in most cases, which also incidentally gets better with time.

But theres something inside me that says Landslide is a better card no matter the circumstances as long as overload is still a tolerable concept in control shaman.

  • Until we start seeing more nature spells (my guess is that Lightning Bolt would be one of them), this card is only a 4 mana 5/4 that only bares its rubber teeth.

Is there any reason to prefer this over Imprisoned Phoenix, which while being slightly less impactful, is at least a guaranteed 2 turn act. Maybe Zap! would come back to standard, and if its a nature spell, then this card may be better than it appears.

  • I like that its a 0 mana spell. And that's all I will like about it until I start seeing Auchenai Soulpriest back in standard. But because its a 0 mana spell I'm almost certain team5 would never bring it back, so this is just a glorified radiance that also makes it harder for priest to close games with. In other words, no way to deal damage, no way it sees legit entry into decks.

  • The best thing about this card is that its a 1 mana 1/3 beast. And that alone makes it worthy of inclusion into most face hunters, let alone a more tempo beast build. The fact that this one can get bigger is not necessarily a good thing, given that most tempo-face hunters go for face and no one wants a 3/4 in the late game when a Kill Command is needed. That said, if you need a good early game beast, this one comes a calling in spades.

Maybe Tol'vir Warden gets included into core. And then this would be legit a threat to trigger its frenzy

  • Its a decent card on its own, but the problem is exactly that. Druid typically plays broken cards + ramp for the win, and I'm having difficulty imagining this being part of anything druid would want to do, now that Embiggen and highlander druid will be gone when this releases. There's a slim hope for this that something from the core set can save it (its still a decent rush-to-taunt card) but Im doubtful.

  • Ysera is still powerful despite the 1 mana change to dream. Even if you can't cast ysera awakens on 10 in the same turn, it still more or less send a signal to your opponent that any board they build will immediately be challenged with a 5 damage board wipe. Overall, I like this change.

For Malygos on the other hand, its hard to evaluate. It fills your hand but chances are good you can't cast any of it until the following turn. So unless there's some really impactful 1 mana spell, this is just going to be a 9 mana do nothing card. But anything that tutors cards, and to such an extreme degree, would at some point be core, so I'm not giving my hopes up yet.

Deathwing. Well, its a powerful card swing with a more reasonable condition. But discarding cards have often always been bad, so Im not entirely sure. But it is a 12/12 board swing. And that has got to count for something.

  • Probably relegate ramp paladin a great deal now that its one additional turn to bear before Alura, assuming you'd even have that card in hand, devastate the board with murlocs. To me it was an unexpected nerf, given that most of the power cards like Tip the Scales and nozdormu would be rotating in about a month, but I guess the fact that one card practically cheeses the whole meta wouldn't exactly make it a fun time for everyone else.

  • Its power cards are practically rotating in 1 month, which is why I thought it was unexpected. Im not denying that its bs practically wins games on 4, its just that prismatic lens used to do the same thing. What made it different now is simply the high end with nozdormu and a few taunt/rush murlocs.

  • This one can be potentially dangerous. One of the main reasons for playing ysera at all was always to get the better dream card like Dream, or Ysera Awakens. Now this straight up guarantee it. If there's even a single charge minion left in the core set along with Faceless Manipulator, it could easily be a win on turn 10.

The only thing stopping this card is that its 9 mana. But if there's ever a meta that allows it, I can't see why this card will get the snubbed. The bar for 9-10 cost cards to entry is now as high as this version of ysera.
