While it blows my mind that they thought that the expansion could launch in its current state, hopefully the action will be brutal and decisive. I've found it hard to even log in during the last few days which is pretty depressing given that this is typically the most fun part of the cycle. Fingers crossed that this puts things right.

This is a good thing. I'm curious if there will be buffs as well.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Good! I hope the nerfs bring balance to the ladder.
The pleasure is mine.
My last standard decks: nothing special right now.
Hoping for nerfs to mct, faceless coruptor, mogu, dragon maw poacher, and some warrior cards as well..
I just hope they don't end up gutting all the fun stuff in shaman that's borderline playable like miracle or token shaman. If they're going to do a "day 1 patch" they should nerf the cards that are actually causing problems directly.
I honestly hope they give shaman the "Ros Rogue/ SoU Mage" Treatment by over-nerfing them into oblivion. I'm so tired of shamanstone... Honestly why did these nerfs take so long! Also hoping pirate warrior gets a nerf. The best way to nerf that deck i.m.o. is nerfing Ancharrr, as its the pillar of that deck. I hope control decks will actually stand a better chance after the nerfs.... (Honestly aren't Control decks supposed to counter Aggro decks? it feels like Aggro counters everything...)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
if Faceless Corruptor is not on that list I'm going to scream.
Also, the really dropped the ball on Shaman this time. Galakrond is so op that he improves the winrate of any deck you put him in by 5%...and Galakrond Shaman sits at over 60% winrate.
Let that sink in: a completely new deck (well, sort of) immediately rises to 60% winrate without even having been refined. The last time that happened was Even Paladin with Call to Arms at 4.
Not sure why everyone has such a hateboner for Warrior. I've played the matchup a bunch of times and while it's strong it doesn't really seem overpowered unless you're playing a real greedy deck with lack of defense.
If anything Parachute Brigand needs to be a 2/1 or something because it's just not fair when that thing drops twice on turn 1 and you have no realistic chance of getting rid of it.
Running Weapon removal is key at this point. If you can shut down Ancharr early and they don't have Hoard Pillager in their opening hand then you're good (although they might need to nerf the Pillager to 5 to make the weapon removal not pointless)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I have been playing rush warrior + galakround I have NO idea why people are playing pirates it's clearly inferior to rush warrior, I have been winning none stop, even against shamans..
Rush warrior had 2 problems: lack of reach, and lack of card draw that doesn't loses you as much tempo, guess what galakround does? +3 attack and card draw.. Pirate warrior while strong just has so much of it's power on a legendary weapon that if they don't draw it well it's just a meh deck and even the "god draw" is not that insane..
Eternium Rover is still the king of the early game, you add the rush/enrage package and you have a very sturdy early game, the invoke cards provide the mid game and galakround gives the insane late game.
And Faceless Corruptor needs a huge nerf the card was insane enough on paper.. on practice it's even more insane, and I thought the targeting was random as well..
minimum a 7 mana card not even 6 mana, that's a Bonemare buff effect..
Imagine if Bonemare had rush itself, gave rush to target instead of taunt, had better buff with hand buffs and to top it off was 5 mana instead of 7.. that's the card blizzard released. (well you can't go face with it, but still...)
Hey! Your rush deck sounds interesting. Might share the decklist? Thanks in advance!
What list of Rush Warrior are you using? It sounds interesting.
The pleasure is mine.
My last standard decks: nothing special right now.
For ppl wanting to punish Shaman you can try a reno mage deck; Apxvoid uses one to crush them.
I think mind control tech is going to be their next HoF target.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
here's the list I use, I don't own a second copy of the galakround reward dragon so I don't play it I normally don't craft cards early in the expansion so I don't own it, feel free to run 1 less berserker for it, it's really strong once you proc it.
I am surprised pirate warrior doesn't run the mummy, it's one of the best warrior cards...
This list is of course not optimized but I think it's superior to pirate warrior because it got a lot more staying power and is not dependent on high rolling.
Edit: I played the list right now and it does need tweaking it was really good day 1 but not anymore. I still think a pure pirate warrior is just too dependent on ONE card and that's why they should be inferior to other lists which work without it, that being said the list has a problem of being too reactive for a tempo deck.. I reccomend taking such a shell as rush warrior from SOU (before the disaster of TOT) and add the galakround package to it and probably also the 1/2 pirate as it's a value generator that can be played early, been playing with it, it's strong.. just that it's quite MEH against shaman.. but shaman.. is shaman.
i just hope they nerf it like they did with cubelock after kobolds. its so powerfull that nerfing just one card aint gonna cut it.
