Reading the news the last couple of days, there are 2 things that crossed my mind:
1. HS dead soon? (ie. Heroes of the Storm-type of death)
2. HS 2 (virtual-reality with tables to flip over-type of game)
And no, I ain't one of the doomsayers or the hype guys. I, personally, believe none of the above is true and both of them are the extreme versions of what this new project may be. But nonetheless, it still got me thinking, now more than ever, since they made the no-blinking-man, together with Dave Kosak (lol) basically the face of HS after Brode left. This allocation of "resources" must mean something.
If those creators left on their own, it might mean, that they felt that HS:
1. is not moving in the right direction
2. is not moving fast enough and the competition is getting thougher
3. is not moving at all
which is bad for us, the HS community and the game, no matter what the reason might be.
If they were relocated by Blizzard themselves, that might mean, that Blizzard are thinking, that:
1. HS need less resources, for whatever reason (same as HotS) and those resources are better spent somewhere else. Because, in my opinion, the worst thing that can happen to a creator of any sort is to stop being creative. And the monotone work can cause that. So, a change of the field, can sharpen the mind once again.
2. in order to chage (I am carefully not using the word "improve") the game drastically, they need to change it's roots.
I would really love to know, what you guys think. And I hope it's, at the end of the day, it's for the best for the game, that we all play and love/hate so much.
I like this one. Rogues have always problems to find a good play on t2 without the coin and usually end up hero powering, which is kinda awkward, if the opponent have >1 hp minion on his side of the board already. So, I can see this fit in some decks.
It's the other way around, because rogue has a hero power which is good early game (and mostly early game) it can afford to hero power on 2 with no significant drawback as such rogues generally don't run 2 drops and don't actually need them.. if you look at the rogue 2 cost cards it's generally some cards you don't want to play on 2 (sap/eviscerate/zephyrs).
So I don't think rogue is in need for 2 cost cards for curve purposes..
With the discover mechanic getting nerfed so hard it no longer a consistent mechanic when you want to play specific things like for example.. toggwaggle if the 400% chance to get class cards was still in effect this card would be insane.
I understand what you are saying, but I, personally, don't like just hero powering - I prefer to play something, progress towards my goal in the game (and "usually" hero powering doesn't get me there). I liked Inspire for example, I like Jan'Alai, Baku warrior and different Quest decks where you goal is to actually hero power. But hero powering just because you don't have anything to do - is a sign of weakness for me. Again, it's just my personal preference :).
I don't like it. I think it's pretty expensive and leaves a weak body on the field. I prefer to run the Gadgetzan Auctioneer or just with Togwaggle and Galakrond, if I want cheap draws.
Quest hunter already has a lot of cheap beasts in his kit, so maybe it will be something. I have more faith in Beast hunter than a mech one, I wonder why...
Zoo may find a use for it. But with 1 hp it is so easy to remove just by hero powering of some classes, if they went first, so you won't get the +2 attack bonus. But still, you can try and save it for a sweet "combo" with grim rally or the lackeys or the lackey 2/2 bird.
Goood 2 drop for both treant druid and the ebiggen or any kind of late game druid. Really nice stats and an effect, druids shouldn't have problem utilizing.
I rated it with 4 stars, but this can easily be a 5 star card as well. For 2 mana it can produce an incredibly annoying minion on board if you leave something alive. And with Electra....
Good stats for the cost and a single target removal against big taunts.
They are pushing dragon hunter, but then again they are releasing mechs for hunter as well. I think devs should just make up their mind and go in one direction.
A tech card. I doubt it will see play, but with those type of cards, you never know - under the right circumstances, it can be in almost any deck out there. But I seriously doubt it.
Awesome card. I am looking forward to see it and the rage of the opponent from the rng of the boom bots. The new 1-drop will make this work on it's own. Not considering any other synergies.
I really like the "what is coming in this month" briefly explanation.
Interesting, what they have in the store for us.
Divine spirit HoF? Year of the "Dirty" Rat? Can't wait.

Nice reviews of the new cards compiled together. Thanks for sharing.

It's awesome. I can't wait to try some dragon priest deck. Shadow visions v.2.0.
A must in any quest deck? I think yes.

A card refill for zoo lock mid- to lategame? Not sure about the randomness of it.
Murloc aggro pala yet again. 1-trick-pony :(

Elemental mage can see a resurgence with this. Khadgar will be happy too. An OP card for sure.
A filler in my honest opinion. Zoo decks have better options/more minions to play for 3 mana.

A stealth, cheap pirate may enable some pirate synergies that weren't so easy to pull off before, who knows...

Too expensive for no immediate effect.
