There are dyes available that are safe for dogs as its an entire line of products that exist just for them, but I'm in the same realm of just don't do it. If people want to and they use the correct products for it then that's okay, but animals can't make that choice themselves so doing it for them doesn't seem fair.
Tough to say. My guess is yes but we won't definitively know until we're 2 hours into the event.
We don't even know what the exact window for drops is. Normally the drops window is larger than the theorycrafting event itself lol. Blizzard has some A+ communications here. Oh sorry, I'm not allowed to say that because that's too "aggro".
Horde for life! We have our problems and some bad storytelling but I will always be there for my Orc, Troll, Tauren, Undead, and Blood Elf family. I still don't trust those crazy Goblins and I'm not even sure if the Huojin Pandaren truly consider themselves Horde. Pandas are lovable but a sneak attack waiting to happen - at the end of the day we destroyed their homeland.
Blizzard is going to hotfix in the quest tomorrow, December 1, so the event will officially be starting early. Everything still works right now though, you just don't get notifications of quest progression but it is working on the server-side.
I think $10 for a board is pretty good value and here's why!
$10 is the second lowest price point for cosmetics, with $5 being an even easier sell to people. $10 keeps the board a bit more unique since not everyone will buy it so it'll feel more special. But that's not the real reason I think it's good value. The real reason is because at $10, it ends up being a cosmetic that I can use for eternity. Hero Portraits in constructed are $10 (being forced to buy the card back or packs alongside kinda sucks) and I can only use that when I'm playing that class whereas the Battleground board will always be there for me no matter who I'm playing with. Of course, we've seen some much cheaper hero portraits so that's not the best comparison, but that's thanks to just crazy numbers of them being released now so the only way to realistically get someone to buy more of them is to reduce the cost and make bundles.
The only thing that sucks about it is you know there will eventually be a better board that speaks to you. Relatively speaking, this one is a bit plain and I fully expect to see boards focusing on the big tribe themes in Battlegrounds which will be so much cooler to equip which means I'm now in for a couple of purchased boards.
It will be interesting to see how they deal with equipping them once there are several that someone could own. I'd love to see pairing boards with heroes but I'd also love the ability to swap my board mid-game when I figure out my composition so it could match. The dream.
My assumption is they are still working out the price point that works for the the sweet spot of total purchases vs total revenue.
If they are getting buys now, and they are happy with the numbers, they might always be expensive. I fully expect fatigue to settle in though and we'll see a reduction in prices if this is indeed the case.
We are aware that some aspects of the “Honor” event went live with the Patch, instead of with the expansion as intended. The team is looking into the issue and exploring options about how to respond.
Hopefully they forget about it and just let people have fun with it.
I'm getting the same thing. I am assuming that these points aren't counting for anything yet because the quest line isn't live.
I just saw a screenshot of someone getting progression on the achievement side of honor. I doubt it'll contribute to the quest once it opens up, but that would be neat if we could build progression early
Which is super confusing because if there really are achievements... that means this will be the first round of achievements that are only completable during a specific time frame.
I don't have an issue with that because several online games have achievements that are "Legacy" or "Feats of Strength" which showcase someone's progress over many years (hell, we do that here on Out of Cards), but I'm curious if they're going to list them separately. It would be super annoying to display them as unearned achievements after the event is over. We'll find out in like 14 hours though so \o/
You need to just play games. No specific cards are required.
They're golden cards so its purely cosmetic gains.
I don't believe they are available in packs but I haven't seen confirmation either way. You won't be able to rush the quest regardless - that's a ton of games before opening packs.
Back in July they announced that they were hoping to announce within the next year!

Third!
Also, this card exists.

Mercs prices are shit full stop

I don't believe its a bug that the 7200 is a hero skin. Just a catch-up mechanism for folks to get them.
That's really cool to know that you got a golden card already. We're going to need to frontpage that because that's some huge news!
I don't think I've ever seen someone use an emoji in titles before lol. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? The floodgates are open lol
Popsicooler is sick though. Such a good golden animation!

That was some serious luck. I swear this stuff isn't rigged in staff favor, lol. HOT DAMN!
HK is Honorable Kill. It is progression towards the Alterac Valley event. The "Private" part tells you what honorable rank your opponent is.

Though the questline isn't live yet, so its funny that's popping up.
They are working on something for him (Source). I'm going to assume that'll be some kind of freebie if not straight to shop.

I never saw a reddit thread prior to Liv's post, but grats!
